I tried this product because I wanted to experience something new, thinking it would be great. But I was disappointed with it, because it did not remove all the residue on the face and it leaves behind a thin film that is really annoying. Plus, it does not really foam well like it claims, and it takes quite a bit of water to wash it off. The fragrance is a bit strong too, I'm not really into strong scents, esp after washing. The product is none drying though, but I found that it could irrate the skin, making it itchy.

This may be too strong for my hyper sensitive, blemish-prone skin. The first week into using this was ok, I felt my skin was clean and healthy. But therafter, it began to dehydrate, tighten and breakout. OK, I learnt my lesson never to touch this again!

I wanted to find a wash-off cleanser that would take off dirt , makeup and help with a little oilyness as well. I am not too oily and I do not break out badly most of the times. Just the occasional pimple before my period. I do have blackheads though, on my nose and chin. This gel made me break out repeatedly! I didn't give it up quickly and I continued to use it for nearly 2 months, when I reached the point of not standing the pimples it gave me anymore!
In addition, every time I used it, although it was fun to wash with (as long as it didn't get in my eyes), I got this very dry, almost itchy feeling afterwards.
I give it 3 lipsticks, cause it contains salicylic acid and I get the feeling that it could be a good cleanser for somebody with a very very oily skin.
But for me (as you can see from my Ligthsource review too) Estee Lauder skincare is a big no-no.
Never again, enough is enough.
