As other reviewers have said, this color is more suited to lighter skin tones. I am fair (NC20) and Emily shows up well on me. I normally steer clear of pink lipsticks as pink doesn't usually suit my warm coloring. But Emily is a nice, warm pink and seems to just brighten up my face. It helps if I add a touch of warm-toned (orangish) gloss over the top. I'm glad to have found a wearable pink!

I bought this lipstick at TJ Maxx for $3.99 (US) because I thought it was a great deal. I love this lipstick, my total HG everyday lip color. It's more suited for the Summer since it is a pink-coral color but I use it everyday. Tried this on my friend who has a darker skintone and it didn't suit her well. I'm a NC-37 right now so I think this color is ideal for lighter skin tones. I'm not too fond of the packaging since it has a mirror on the cap but otherwise, I'd buy it again.

I am a lipstick junkie. So when I saw the display at TJ Maxx I couldn't help myself. These lipsticks are mediocre. I got Emily,Peony & True Red. Emily is a soft sheer peach that goes on much lighter than the color in the tube. On my olive skin it didn't show up at all. Peony was a vibrant pink but again, when the formula says Satin I expect a little more pigment. True Red was the best of the 3. It doesn't have much in the way of staying power but the color is lovely. continued >>
