Initially it gave me that dewy flawless look. After 2 weeks, my face looked ashen and I noticed it was drying by the end of an 8 hour day and my skin was flaking. Then my face broke out in pimples. I am disappointed as I wanted to like this. This product is not for me I'm afraid.

For me this is the best foundation i have ever used. I have a slightly oily T zone, noticeable pores on my chin and redness. In fact without make up i look ill! This foundation transforms my skin! The coverage is great and i find one pump is plenty for me. It completely covers redness and seems to melt into my pores making them much less noticeable. It stays put all day without any touch ups. I love it and would highly reccomend it.
UPDATE: I have recently been using the treatment creme foundation from La Mer and it is even better!

a bit disappointed~ im a super fan of Creme De La Mer loose powder n face care products. The liquid foundation of it is not bad~but it isnt worth the price. It can offer medium coverage, But it can slightly lead to acne( or maybe im quite sensitive skin)
moreover, there are not too many shades to choose. The shade of Cream is quite dark for me but absolutely im not pale at all.I wont buy it again.

Tried a sample of The Treatment Fluid Foundation in MA suggested shades neutral and buff to go along with The Loose Powder in Neutral that I recently purchased (and find a great fit for my skin type and tone). Both colors ended up having a greyish coloring effect on my skin and made my combo skin look like an oily mess.

Oh how I wanted to love this product! I have fair, sensitive skin. I used it for about a week and noticed a small red patch near my mouth. Dermatitis!
I have only gotten this on my face one other time, and it was after using another LaMer product.
The dewey look was great, but a little heavy even for my 40+ year face.
Has anyone else experience this with this line?

I am asian and tanned. I use the shade called Caramel. The foundation feels just as creamy and yummy as its name. This is the best foundation I've found so far that matches my skin tone. And I will continue to buy this product for that reason. Of course it doesn't hurt that it makes you skin very soft and dewy. Very good medium coverage.

Imnot sure about this product. The sales lady at Neimans sold me on it after apllying it to my skin (my skin looked flawless). But I can't for the life of me make it work at home. Very mask like and chalky which sux as it was almosty 80 dollars. Im still on the fence on this one and as I have really usd it enough Im not sure about breakouts?

I like this product. I've got Dune Neutral (04). It's little darker than I need. Now I am going to buy another one but lighter. Would you please tell me right color 03 are 02? I need warm beige (not pink). Little lighter than 04. Thank you.

Simply love it. I have this in Shade 7, Sunswept Beige, which I just found out was discontinued. :( This is the best foundation I have used. Creamy and blendable. No line of demarcation. Stays on all day. Moisturizes, looks dewy and glowy all day. Warms the skin up incredibly. It is a perfect match and everyone compliments my flawless skin. Worth every penny.

I have combination acne-prone skin, so usually I don't go for liquid foundation. However, La Mer's is exceptional. The color I have, dune neutrale, is a bit darker than my skin tone, but the moment I put it on it warms up my complexion and looks absolutely beautiful. This foundation is neither chalky nor oily, and is the only product I have found that actually makes my skin look dewy. In addition, La Mer's fluid foundation leaves skin soft and supple. Expensive, yes, but in my opinion completely worth it.

I just got a bottle of this foundation and love the finish of it. I wear #3 (Sand Dune, I think) and it is a *tad* bit dark on me but #2 is too pink and light so I went with the slightly darker shade. I wear this with the spf 15 lotion underneath and it has not irritated my skin at all and looks really natural on me. It is a little on the expensive side ($65 for a bottle). I wish that it had a pump instead of a twist off cap as it would make dispensing much easier.

I have combination, sensitive, acne-prone skin and use an oil-free foundation during warmer weather when I'm most prone to breakouts, but this is an excellent foundation in winter when my skin becomes drier. I find it applies smoothly, and it created a natural, slightly dewy finish. Not sure if I got a dud bottle but I found the scent a little strange. Probably won't repurchase as La Mer is too pricey, and I prefer my recently-discovered Diorskin and Armani LSF foundations.

This is a very good foundation, if you're looking for overall coverage to even out the tones in your face. The La Mer SA taught me to use a Chanel brush ($45) to paint it on my face- I was a little wierded out until I discovered that 1) you use a lot less, and 2) it's cleaner when you use a brush, vs. a sponge. I used to use Shiseido, but found it too cakey. The La Mer, however, is a keeper.

I am naturally tan (Filipino) so it is very hard for me to find a good foundation that matches my color - I use La Mer's #8 foundation. I love it! It blends so naturally that you can't even tell I am wearing foundation. It feels so good on the skin and leaves me with a nice glow!

This foundation has SPF15 & sheer to medium coverage. The color (Sand Buff 03) is quite dark on me even with my tan and feels greasy when first applied. After powder, it makes my face dewy & soft. It's quite thick but has a very natural finish. It's nice but I wouldn't fork out $65 again for another bottle. continued >>

Medium coverage, which is a bit heavier than I prefer but it was really flawless coverage. My skin looked great, and it didn't clog pores or leave me feeling like a greasepit. It was still a bit too heavy for my forehead so I had to blot midday. Color match of Sunswept beige was good for me (C4) so if I find myself in drier climate in the future I would consider a repurchase.

This is the only product EVER to give me such a horrible experience. I had my first allegic reaction that resulted with red spots all over my face, and peeling skins started to appear the second day I used it. I stopped on the second day and went to see a dermatologist immediately. For those who don't mind to try and get an allegic reaction (which I thought so before), the shade is really nice - comparable to Giogio Armani liquid foundation. The coverage is great, only a few tiny drops would be necessary to create a very natural growing looking skin. I love La Mer products, especially the cream de la mer, the hand treatment eye balm and also the tonic (all these I am using now) but I will stay away from the foundation...may be it is just me...

I didn't buy it the first time! I got this as a sample in a cute miniature bottle when I purchased my first La Mer sample set on Ebay. I didn't care for the way this looked on my skin and felt the coverage was too sheer for my taste. I looked washed out and had to pile on the bronzer, maybe the color was too light (think I got it in Shell). Would definitely not repurchase, why would you need a La Mer makeup when their skincare line is so good? I think I'll stick with the legendary creme.

I tried some samples of this foundation at Saks Fifth Avenue. I wanted to try it before I invested the $60 for 1 oz. This is the best foundation I have ever used. I have tried everything out their and this is the best. My skin has a rosy glow, no breakouts and a clear radiance. Never have I had more compliments on my skin, since I started using this foundation. The Best!
