Love this man and his short, get right to the point videos!

It's kind of weird making a review on price and packaging quality about a makeup guru. Anyway, he is hands down the best Youtube makeup guru I have ever watched. He is straight to the point and really knows what he's talking about. The best thing with him is that he gives information that are useful for all types of people (whether through skin color, eye shape, age, etc). Amazing! It is also interesting to watch his videos because he has that funny side and charm. I do have to comment on his way of uploading videos. I know this has nothing to do with the contents or information he gives but it is sometimes annoying when you watch his videos and out of nowhere some link to his other videos start popping and tags in his videos are really irrelevant to the content. (he uses popular search items like michellephan, bubzbeauty, kim kardashian, etc). I won't complain because of the fact that he is an amazing pro MUA and gives tips for free. I just thought you should know that fact. Overall, great! I recommend watching his videos. You'll learn and change the way you view makeup.

I learned a lot from him, especially his earlier videos. He gives some pretty easy tips and some are very applicable to me.
But I hope he stops with the caps locked titles and with trying to write titles cleverly so you click them. It's not fooling anyone.
I just hope he sticks to making videos that he thinks will genuinely help his viewers and do away with SEO stuff and tricking people into clicking.

I love Wayne Goss! He is the makeup loving brother I never had! I was once a professional makeup artist and while working at a very expensive, high end makeup emporium I got in trouble for sending young girls across the street to the pharmacy to buy mascara for under $10.00 that was just as good if not better, that the $28.00 variety I was meant to push. I don't regret it, and Wayne Goss does the same thing in video form. I love that about him; he's practical, offering common sense advice, even when offering unconventional tips such as his "newest way to apply mascara" video, he has that down to earth quality about him. He loves clearly loves makeup, and helps the viewer find products truly worth trying, with application tutorials that a lay person can also follow. I like that he keeps on learning along with the rest of us. He's had videos on contouring then went back, revised with a newer, easier tutorial. I love that he revisits issues to be even more helpful.
I dont get those who take issue with him showing how to apply say eye shadow because he's male and most who will be wearing it are female. My all female gym has literally one male member, a man in his 80's who lives on the same street. Its convenient for him, and the price was right, some balk, but really? Is it that big a deal? Its convenient for Wayne to use himself as a model when said model is always on hand and the price is right too. There is actually a bonus at times to his being male, if he can find products that are wearable and natural looking, even just for wear in his vids, they may just past muster in the cold light of the 6 train, or your office etc.
I love that he doesnt have some obnoxious, never ending start up with obnoxious, never ending music. I like that while he gives us tiny glimpses into his life, they are always related to us taking care of ourselves in some way, and in that way, highly relatable. When I am watching a makeup guru on yt, I personally dont really have any interest, nor the time to hear about their kids, hubbie and the like. Some of them, even with actual talent do what I view as the female version of a "p-ssing contest." Who has the most high end makeup? the most clothing? The most shoes? the most jewelry, beauty products, most loving husband, cutest kids? who has the most most?! Meanwhile back at the ranch I feel like asking, "weren't you going to demonstrate your hooded eye contouring method?"
I like his attitude of try your best with the time and budget you have, don't stress too much, it all washes off, so dont take make up nor life, too seriously. I do like him, but I like his techniques, his helpful hints, his interest in how to improve ourselves with skin care, fitness and so on, realizing makeup is only part of the picture. When a poster brought to his attention that the thing that makes many of the products he loves so great, are attributes that the avg person, a non makeup artist, may not benefit as much from, he said he would take that into consideration and factor that in to future reviews. He has addressed the mindless loons who stalk the internet looking for people and things to hate, in a common sense manner. He's not shilling for "the man," either! He buys his own makeup. Another guru I really liked has changed so much since accepting makeup for review from various companies, she's not worth watching anymore because she's clearly so biased now.
So yeah love Wayne! Hope he sees my review on him and thinks, "that ChayaNY, what a brilliant girl!" He he:) I really wish I had teachers like him when I went to beauty school. He has a passion for his craft and it shows.

Amazing videos! Most yt videos of this kind never really tell me anything new, but Wayne's videos are SO informative! I learn so many things! His demonstrations are awesome and show you exactly what to do. He also has a really nice energy to him - I really enjoy his videos as well as finding them very informative and interesting :).

I love Wayne, I consider him one of the most helpful youtube gurus (along with Pixiwoo and Lisa Eldridge). I like that he doesn't focus so much on different looks but more on hot to properly use some products or how to apply products in different ways. He also does a lot of reviews and they seem very sincere, he also often recommends dupes for expensive products. He focuses mostly on high and mid end products but there are also a lot of (mostly positive) reviews for cheaper brands like NYX and Sleek.
He seems to know A LOT more than the average make-up guru (and I'm not even counting the 17-year-old girls).
Now for the bad:
The information seems to be scattered all over his youtube channel, there are videos on certain topics but he always adds more later..I would just like to have one long video where he explains everything he thinks we should know about xy, not quick three minute videos, in the end they add up to a lot more than one long one.
I also really hate that the name of all his videos is in caps lock, it makes them look cheap, like they want to draw attention that way because they can't compete otherwise. The titles of his videos are also often pretty sensationalistic (like the latest SHOCKING!!!! CELEBRITY PILLOW FACE!!!!!! which is about celebrity filler injections). It makes me think I'm watching a TMZ video, not a video made by a very educated and experienced make-up artist.
I seriously think everyone should be subscribed to him, I would say he uploads on average three videos a week which is just right if you ask me. They are short and to the point, no rambling and even if there was it wouldn't bother me honestly, Wayne is a pretty funny and charismatic guy. He also makes a lot of videos featuring his friend Mandy to teach us the correct application of products on more mature skin. He sometimes does eye make-up looks on himself which doesn't always end up looking as pretty as the looks Pixiwoo do, but you can see he definitely knows his technique. I would recommend anyone to subscribe to him and check out his ''how to'' playlist, I must have watched thousands of these beauty videos in the last years and most of the stuff he says is new to me.

I love wayne goss! he is truly one of the most talented makeup gurus on youtube today. most of the other popular gurus are just young women who have a passion and talent for makeup, but he takes it so much further than that. he IS a makeup artist. he knows everything there is to know about makeup. I love how his videos are short, easy to watch and are filled with great tips and tricks as well as product reviews and tutorials. He's had a great sense of humour and is charismatic. Pretty easy on the eyes too ;)

Wayne is great--his tutorials are really helpful, he's sincere, I trust his opinions, and he is just pleasant to watch and listen to. I really like him which is a big part of why I watch.

He is AMAZING
First let me tell you I am 35 years old but have not used make up much and-till a year ago - know almost nothing about basic makeup techniques , I started watching YT make-up gurus videos and learned a lot but I learnt the best 75% of what I know from Wayne ; especially his foundation , concealers , contouring and other "very basic" make up technique ...He gave us a priceless tip when he recommended not to use a stippling brush with skin on the dry side like me ..It was THE BEST tip I have had about make up in my life ...Besides he has a very polite and funny way of speaking that goes greatly with his lovely British -yet clear - accent ....*wink*

I stumbled across Wayne Goss when looking for reviews on Inglot eye shadows and I am hooked on his channel. His videos are short, to the point, and stay on topic. Also, he knows his stuff, is honest with his assessments, and doesn't want anyone to spend money they don't need to.
He brings the 'professional MUA' to the general public (I can't afford to have a pro do my makeup everyday) - but I can be a pro at doing my own face because of him.
He is the Way Bandy of YouTube MUAs- bringing the pro secrets to everyone.

Wayne Goss is pretty much a self-taught YouTube MUA. His specialty is the mature and older woman, but each look is classic enough to be adapted for women of every age. His channel offers Makeup tutorials, product reviews, favorites, giveaways and product regrets. Wayne's main inspiration seems to come from Rae Morris - a MUA from Australia - but he is open to other ideas. He's quite smart in that he's read and researched a ton of MUA's and takes a little bit from each to blend into his own philosophy. And unlike many MUA's, he's not a total MACwhore. He loves off brands, drug store brands, special effects brands and top-line cosmetics equally as long as they are pigmented, long-lasting and blendable. Some of the brands he has used are Coastal Scents, Tom Ford, Ben Nye, Kryolan, Sleek, OCC, Make Up For Ever - and he is willing to try just about any other brand to see what they do. He's not paid by any product line and will give you his straightforward honest review of each product. If you can get it better, cheaper - he'll let you know! If it stinks - you WILL hear it from him. If it's a needless product or bad formulation - you can rest assured that he will tell you straight away. Wayne has one more amazing reason to watch - he'll teach you tricks other MUA's take for granted! He's got a wicked dry sense of humor and will make you laugh as well as think. Wayne has a Twitter account also, and a blog on Blogspot, which seems to have been abandoned. I love what he's taught me and continues to teach, and I will be a follower for a long, long time!

As a girl that want's to become a make up artist I admire him so much. He has been so useful to me! please go and check his videos om you tube. I think that he writes reviews on make up alley too...anybody knows which nick name he has? i woul love to descover it just to know what he thinks about product...i trust his opinions

I just found his videos in the past few weeks. I am hooked. He has so many helpful hints that will have you seeing a difference right away.

He is amazing! He is honest, brutally even without being rude, and makes everything super easy to follow and recreate. His reviews are so thorough and entertaining as well. Easily my top 3 of YT gurus.
And if it could get any better - he's easy on the eyes AND has a beautiful British accent!

I love and enjoy these videos so much. He provides a wealth of information, is honest and to the point. Every thing I have learned from him in terms of application and products has been useful and spot on. I look forward to new videos and wish there were more gurus like him on youtube. Check him out, totally worth taking the time to watch his stuff. Refreshing and not too bad to look at, either. ;)
