as of december 2011, the formula for e.l.f. polishes has been redone, so it may be better to disregard reviews from earlier years (especially any that comment on a $1 price tag; the reformulation came with a price increase to $2). that said, i love this polish: it's very rich and deep, nearly black until you take it out into the sun where it becomes a lovely coffee color. like a lot of the newly formulated e.l.f. polishes i've gotten, this is a one-coater; it goes on very smoothly, no streaking, nothing to fix. it wears very well, especially with a good topcoat. i love using this as a base for a darker glitter and putting a matte topcoat over it, but it looks great all on its own.
I have been wearing this nail polish for four days now and it is showing very little signs of wear without a top coat. It is a beautiful, rich chocolate brown. The formula is extremely nice and I love that it is on the thick side and not runny and watery. It goes on really well, and covers the nail fully in one coat. The finish is smooth (not streaky in the least) and shiney. Overall, this has become one of my favorite nail polishes because of the rich color, smooth finish, cheap price, and lasting ability.
Simply stated, this nail polish was CRAP and and IMO were not worth the $1 I paid for it. The nail polish is thick, doesn't apply well and when dried has streakiness to the finished product which could not be compensated for (i.e. covered) by a top coat. I would not re-purchase this product and I warn anyone interested in doing so not to buy it.
