People have been saying that this is a dupe for MAC Angel, so I just had to get this. I've never owned or even used Angel before, but I've seen it and it looks like an amazing color. Usually I'm more of a dramatic lip color girl (I love MAC Morange, Cyber, and Heroine!), but this is one of the two neutrals that I really like--the other one being Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Demure (perfect light peachy pink).
Born With It is a soft neutral pinky nude with shimmer. I was hesitant to purchase this while at checkout because of the shimmer, but the shimmer isn't obvious on your lips at all. It's very subtle and makes your lips look shiny, but not shimmery.
The pigmentation is great. I don't know why people are saying this is sheer! The pigmentation isn't as good as MAC lipsticks, but it's still pretty good. Granted, I still need to cancel out my natural lip color by putting foundation over my lips (I do this everyday anyway--with or without lipstick/lipgloss--because my lips are very very pigmented and I'm not fond of the color), but that's not a big deal. It helps Born With It show up true to its color.
It looks great on my NC30-35 skintone, but I try not to put on too much foundation on my lips beforehand because since Born With It is a light color, it would make my lips disappear and look really weird against my skin.
And I absolutely LOVE the shape of the lipstick! It's curved inward so that it fits perfectly on my lower lip. On my upper lip, though, not so much. But it's like this thing was carved specifically for my lower lip shape! It feels amazing! Sometimes I reapply just so I can feel it against my lips lol!
The packaging, though, looks cheap and unappealing. At least it's hardy and easy to open. I wish all the other drugstore brands made their lipstick and lipgloss packaging like Revlon's (the Revlon Super Lustrous Lipgloss packaging is gorgeoussss).
The lasting power is pretty good (3-4 hours)--the same as MAC lipsticks--but I don't mind reapplying.
Would I repurchase? Yes.

I hate this color! I'm not sure if I got a dud or what, but it's not that moisturizing or smooth on my lips. It's not very pigmented; you don't get much of the actual pink color, only the very extreme silver shimmer. It's not flattering at all. It looks like an overly frosty shade that a young girl would play with. It also smells like Play-Doh.

This color for me is a "my lips but better". I was expecting a light pink but eh, I don't mind. It gives my lips a nice glow. Ill wear this when I'm not wearing a ton of eye makeup. Its with my naturals collection. I would repurchase this for sure. :)

The color is really sheer on my naturally pigmented lips and while I liked how it looked it does wear quickly. It bled really bad even with a lipliner and the ingredients gave me really bad breakouts around my mouth. Not a repurchace

I'm very disappointed with this lipstick. I practically have to rub it hard on my lips in order for the colour to actually show, and it doesn't even look nice on me.

This color is frickin gorgeous. It's a blue based, cool toned baby pink lipstick on me. I have a warm complexion so I usually stray away from cool toned pinks because they just look too weird with my coloring. But this color is absolutely gorgeous. It's creamy, has a slight sheen to it and it's a beautiful pinky nude color. It has shimmer in it but not too much where it looks too frosty on my lips. With the color sensational line, I feel some certain shades' formulas are a hit and miss but this shade is so creamy. Wouldn't repurchase because its not a color i would grab for all the time.

- color is gorgeous but I only use one layer of it. If I use couple swipes on my lips, it looks too frosty/cool toned which I like to call... Pornstar lips.

Born with it is a pretty sheer lipstick, but that makes it a very wearable pink. You have to layer it a bit to get it to show but and you get a pretty natural pink. As a redhead, it's a little hard to find pinks I can wear and make them look natural so I'm a fan. However, I do wish it was a little more pigmented though and it wears off pretty quickly. The tube casing is pink so that helps keep is sorted by color family but you can't see the actual color. So the packaging is average. For the price it's a good lipstick to have around, very easy, don't need a mirror to apply, throw it on, almost like a color lip balm because it is reasonably moisturizing for a lipstick.

LOVE THIS COLOR!!! it's a perfect nude for a blonde (which I am). It's got the right amount of pink in it and will really warm up your face. I did a neutral makeup one day and compared this lipstick with an orangy-red, the orange red made my face look blah and my lips pop. Born with it enhanced my neutral makeup look and also made my lips look amazing and natural. The color will completely enhance your face, you've got to try it!
Only complaint- the formula isn't super creamy so when I apply it this I have to press a little harder than with other lipsticks and I am afraid I might break it off.

This is a great dupe for MAC's Creme Cup. I uploaded a pic for comparison and Creme Cup is the *tiniest* bit warmer in color. BWI also has tiny glitter particles that are not obvious upon first application for me, (it just has a 'sheen' like Creme Cup) but when the color wears away, the glitter particles remain on your lips. BWI is very creamy and feels great on the lips. It has about the same lasting power as the MAC, but I hate the scent of the Maybelline lipsticks.

Nice colour, a little bit too cool for warm skin tones. Pigmeneted enough if you go over your lips a few times. I don't like the glitter chunks though, they're a bit too big. This formula also dries out my lips a bit and clings to dry flakes.

I probably own 30-50 lipsticks, and I almost never re-purchase any particular shade because none of them knock my socks off-except this. It is a lovely light pink shade, creamy with a slight pearl finish. It is not frosty like the pinks I remember from the 80's, and leaves my lips looking fuller with it's light reflecting pigments. That being said, I think this shade is best suited to fair skin tones and should be applied with a light touch, as several coats would definitely look candy-pink and trashy. I don't even have to use lip liner with this shade, which I cannot say for any other lip product. I have already re-purchased once, and hope they never discontinue as this is the ONLY pink shade I have ever loved.

I like this product in general, but the color is almost the same as my lips, so a chapstick gives me the same effect. I really didn't like the almost glitter it has in it, it gave it kind of a rougher texture (to me).

Since this is supposed to be a dupe for MAC's Creme Cup, I couldn't wait to try it. I don't have Creme Cup, but have a lot of other MAC lipsticks and am always looking for a great dupe. I am not impressed by the color, scent, formulation, or staying power of Born With It, and because of this, will not be purchasing Maybelline lipsticks again.

This is one of those rare products that would put me in tears if it were ever discontinued. I dread the thought of it! This one of my all-time favourite lipsticks because it's my lip colour but better. It's lasting power is slightly better than average (but there are longer lasting lipsticks out there) and it is nice and creamy. I wear this lipstick almost everyday. To all you cool-toned, fair skinned ladies, give this one a shot!

this colour is one of the most wearable frosty shades i have [the other one is beige glace from the old maybelline watershine line] so maybelline has been a winner in that stance as frosty shades usually look super ugly on me. that being said this shade is a bit sheer and just not that special. i'll keep using it as i like to vary my makeup but if i lost if i wouldn't feel the need to replace.
packaging is cute, i like how they have different colours caps so i can semi tell which lippie is which in my drawer since i have a few lippies from this line.

This is a just ok nude pink. Like all the other reviews I think its too glittery. There is not enough color payoff on me to make it worth putting on. Some say this is for cool tones some say for warm. I am a winter cool and this doesn't look good on me unless I have a lot of bronzer on.

I did a smokey gray/silver look for New Year's Eve and envisioned what color I wanted on my lips and remembered I had purchased this color on a whim...PERFECT!! Love the color, it's a beautiful, sweet, pink!! And unlike other reviews, I enjoy the scent.

if you want a lovely nude-pink lipstick that is affordable, then this is a great option. the smell is tolerable, the formula is very moisturizing and long lasting. the only reason i say i wouldn't buy it again is because i realized this color isn't very flattering on me.

It's a really nice baby pink color. It looked amazing swatched but on my lips the slight shimmer does not look too good. My lips are very pigmented and this lipstick is quite sheer so when I pack on the color all yOu really notice is a faint baby pink but a lot of shimmer which isn't flattering on me at all. Its okay but it's a bit on the pearly side for me :(

Would buy it again in a heartbeat. Love the baby pinky almost Barbie Doll but not quite cream light pink color. I swear this changes in certain lights; I guess you could say it was mercurial in that sometimes it appears to be pearly in some natural lights and then at other times, it looks completely matte and flat. Is very flattering on the lips and could be a good choice for light skin tones especially, not my fave in this collection but is sooo pretty and a very interesting color.
