My mineral veils weren't holding up to the Texas summer heat, and my face would get oily quickly, so I went looking for something specifically to address that. I bought this product because of the ingredients, which include the well-known anti-shine ingredients kaolin and walnut shell powder. (Plus, how could I go wrong for $3?) Obviously the packaging isn't the best; it's cheap, the lid is hard to remove, and the "puff" is just a thin pad. However, the product you get more than makes up for these flaws. It doesn't look that great in the jar--it seems a little too dark and not finely milled. On my face, however, it works great! I got translucent light, and I apply it with a brush. This powder gives my super-pale skin the merest hint of color, and adds a more perfected and refined finish that other, more expensive powders have not achieved for me. It also really helps control my oily skin, so I can go longer without blotting or repowdering. This product is a true gem, and I would recommend it to anyone struggling with facial oil or just in need of a good loose powder.
