I have had these rollers for quite some time. My sister got them because she knows that I like to curl my hair occasionally, but don't do it often because it's a pain. I have long, thick hair that won't stay in place for too long and traditional rollers are way too uncomfortable. If I wanted to curl my hair I would usually put rollers into my hair and sleep with them overnight in order to get curls in the morning. That became extremely uncomfortable so I got these rollers to try and speed up the process.
It's a set of 20 rollers in three different sizes. The rollers sit on metal rods which get hot very quickly - usually in less than a minute. The set also includes metal holder clips and a lid, or course.
I've used it many times with very good results. According to the instructions, the user should heat the rollers for 60 seconds, put them in according to desired style, wait till the rollers cool, and than remove.
While that may work for people with thin, easily manipulated hair, it does not work for me. The best results I get with this set of rollers is to put them in after washing and thoroughly blowdrying my hair. I only do this on days when I have a lot of time because washing, drying, and curling my hair is at least a 2 hour process. I put them in and leave them for about 2 hours. After taking them out my hair is perfectly curled (so long as I put them in neatly and carefully) and the curls actually stay in all day with a little bit of hair spray.
The rollers work very well but only if you leave them in for a significant amount of time. I have tried to put them in and take them out 30 minutes later, which doesn't work at all because the curls either won't form almost at all, or they fall flat within the hour.
Overall I like these rollers, they work very well and they're very affordable so I would repurchase if I ever needed a new set.
