I didn't like this product because it was so expensive and they give you almost nothing. Also, it is SO hard to get the product out, like I had to practically turn the bottle upside down and then it spilled.
It stings your face too. It didn't help me, in fact I broke out even worse.
Maybe I didn't give it enough time but I did NOT like this product PERIOD

Every reviewer of this product KNOWS that the packaging is horrible. The amount for what it's worth is more than horrible. But I know that this stuff works for me. (And for those that reviewed this as 'bad', everyone's skin is different so things may work for others and not for you =))
I have post-puberty, combination skin and I do get about 2-3 pimples per month, mostly around the time before my period starts. They can pop up as regular whiteheads, or the under-the-skin ones/cysts that doesn't heal until 2-3 weeks later. The reason why I bought this (and I usually never, ever buy "spot treatments" because I believed that they never, ever worked for me) was because I had a forming white-head on my cupid's bow, which hurt whenever I talked or laughed/smiled. I didn't want to try any BP products because I was scared it wouldn't work (as fast as I needed to be) so I opted for Burt's Bees only because it was "natural."
I feel that this product doesn't work as fast on a white head, though it will dry it out somewhat when used morning & night on a daily basis--your pimple will probably "die out" give or take, after a week and a couple days later. It DID work for one of those yet-to-form-a-white-head pimples and PROBABLY will on a cyst at its "earliest" stages. I had a forming pimple in the corner of my nose and it was gone by the 3rd day of consecutive use.
I did apply this with a q-tip, and it WILL sting--but I feel it is a "good" sting to notify the user that it's working. The smell does not bother me whatsoever, I felt it more therapeutic for me lol. The packaging is ridiculous as you do have to tip it just right in order to get a good amount, and if you pour too much it was drip all over the place and you end up wasting good product ): For those of you who use a multi-step skincare regimen (like me lol), I apply this right after I tone and before I use my serum (night) or essence (morning). continued >>

A couple months ago, I was comparing this to Clean and Clear acne sppot treatment and the Burt's Bees worked better.
I have combination/dry skin and I would use this day and night, It dries up your pimple and eventually it goes away. I would say this is a good starter acne treatment since it has 0.75% salicylic acid concentration.
When I first got it I wasn't sure how to get it out, and i ended up using a cotton swab and apply it on blemishes. Which worked I wouldn't say its the best packaging. It can be a little strong if you're not used to organic products, it kind of smells like licorice but it goes away after a while.
It worked fine with me, sometimes when I use it, it gets worse before it gets better. I have seen my pores getting smaller but it could be due to the fact that I'm using the Olay ProX brush with Burt's Bees Soap Bark & Chamomile cream cleanser. I'll be giving an update
*UPDATE* So far I've been using this for two months and I'm not really convinced that it actually works for me, I found that it can be very irritating to my blemishes and make them worse, so I dont think I would recommend this anymore, probably it might be due to the fact that its winter and my skin is drier. continued >>

This works really fast and well! I used it whenever I felt a pimple rearing its ugly head (no pun intended) and it would either make it disappear entirely or make it go away faster than it otherwise would. I did not like the smell at all, but the sacrifice was worth the pay-off. I actually liked the packaging, particularly because the dropper would ensure that no product was wasted, and you only used a small amount for target areas. I have gone through 2 of these, but I will not purchase, because I don't think the results justify the price.

I LOVE this product and will continue to repurchase it over and over again.
I've started to switch my skincare over to as much all-natural and organic products as possible, I haven't struggled with acne in a few since - since high school/college, actually, and suddenly, I noticed I was having regular breakouts again. I had been using tea tree oil on my cuticles and on other skin cuts and such, and it worked wonders, and I read it also works on acne. I tried it, and it did work to reduce my breakouts faster than other spot treatments you find in drugstores, but I noticed new ones popping up every day, and it started to get worse. The cycle was: pimple, tea tree oil, pimple gone, new people right next door. I realized the oil must have been clogging my pores and making me break out even more. I still love tea tree oil for non-face skin ailments, but definitely NOT for facial acne.
Then I saw the Burt's Bees spot treatment at my local CVS and decided to give it a try. I was actually surprised that it was only $10, as other ones I've used in the past, like Clean and Clear and Neutrogena were in the $7-$7 range, and I decided to give it a try because at this point, I had the worst acne I've had since college because of the tea tree oil and was desperate. I noticed a HUGE difference after one application, and after about 10 days, all my acne cleared right up. Other drugstore spot treatments in the past have never worked this well for me even for just the occasional pimple.
I don't think the packaging is as bad as people say it is. Since it's a spot treatment, I only need to apply this to targeted areas on my face, and I usually use a Q-tip to do that. The little spout on the top is perfect for putting onto a Q-tip.
Huge fan of this product, and it just goes to show you that nature's ingredients are just as good, if not better, than chemicals created in labs. Highly, highly recommend this stuff!

I had the worst breakout I've had in years, due to a silly notion that I needed to start supplementing with iodine. Big mistake. Anyway, it was/is horrific! At least 10 pimples on my face. I'm 41 years old. I started wiping apple cider vinegar all over my face and drinking it, which helped. But then I went out to buy some cream and I stumbled on Burt's. I prefer all-natural so I bought the anti-blemish spot treatment. Applied several times over the course of an evening and before bed. It has made a dramatic difference. I am able to cover up with make-up and not feel like a total freak. Dried everything right up. I was amazed. I am going to buy the whole line. I am prone to breakouts around my period, so I need to be ready. I would highly recommend this product to everyone.

I am so sorry to write this! I LOVE burt's bees; especially their hand & nail range - it's FANTASTIC! I must say, regretfully, that this product is awful! I have extremely resilient skin - I have never had a breakout, or reaction to any product! This product, however, turned my tiny whiteheads into huge nodules. At first I couldn't imagine it was the SPOT treatment - it's meant to do the opposite! So I kept using it, and cut out a few other products in my regime (other than my regular cleanser and moisturizer that I've been using for a year, so I know it's not either of those) - TWO MORE NODULES APPEARED! Okay, so I stopped using the spot treatment, and continued with my regular regime, and no new pimples! I'm just left with these nodules, which are finally starting to shrink after two weeks. I REALLY wanted to like this product - in fact I loved it before I even tried it, but I've gotta say - not only does it not work, but it actually made my skin a LOT worse. :-( continued >>

Over the years I've tried numerous acne treatments, and all I can say is this one did nothing, absolutely nothing, for me. It smells medicinal, but in a good way. It stings on most acne spots and the scent is definitely like it has a lot of alcohol in it. It did not make my acne heal any faster or prevent new pimples from forming (at times I feel like it made things worse). It has 0.75% salicylic acid and it is a natural brand, so I do appreciate those things. However, I will not be repurchasing.

This to me is a different but cheaper alternative to the Mario Badescu drying lotion. Or at least, that's how I came to buy it and I use it in a similar fashion. The bottle is small and not the easiest to use. I would turn it over and soak a Q-Tip with product and then put it on my breakouts. I found that to be the easiest way to use this. I like that it stings, to me that's a sign that it's got a good amount of concentrated ingredients and therefore is doing its job. The product did not last me as long as the drying lotion does. However it's much more affordable as I said and it's also not as hard to find in stores as the drying lotion. In addition it does not work as effectively but does work fairly well with prolonged, consistent use. I used it at night after washing my face.

I used this on a blemish that was forming on my chin, and it cleared it up within a day and a half. I used in the morning before my lotion and SPF, and in the evening, after I cleanse my skin and before my lotion. I like that it is in a glass bottle, but the inverted spout doesn't always work that well, because too much liquid comes out. the product itself is very good and I would def use it again, but only at home.

Out of all BB's acne treatments this is the only one that did not cause me to break out more. All it did was dry out my cystic pimples, which brought the inflamation/pain down but left them seriously dry and flaky and they took forever to heal. I actually still have scars (2 weeks later).
I think I could have gotten the same result with tea tree oil.

This thing burned my face til no tomorrow. I tend to have many cluster of pimples all over my face so I would place the treatment within the clusters. It was working at first my major white heads would dry up rather quickly and I figured it was all part of the process. The hidden pimple did just that they hid some more. Eventually into week two or three the pimples didn't dry up, they just got bigger (and I mean huge!) I didn't know what to do but keep adding more of the spot treatment I ended up going through two and a half bottles within a month and a half. So obviously as you can see that I will not be purchasing this product any time soon. It is just too small for the price and the packaging makes it difficult to attack large scale pimple attacks even if it did work properly with a drop by drop method to help you use it frugally, I just found it aggravating.

I have mildly sensitive combination skin. I had been using the Yes To Tomatoes ace Lotion and Cetephil before I switched to Burts Bees, in hopes that the many zits/clogged pores on my forehead and blackheads on my nose and chin would be cleared up.
When I had a big zit or felt one coming on, I'd use this stuff to make it go away. It's hard to say if it really worked well, but I think it did alright.
Pros:
-Slowed a zit's formation
-Made them go away probably faster than they would on their own
Cons:
- Bottle is awful to use and gets the product everywhere
- Sometimes stings
- Doesnt smell great (very medicine-like)

I use a q-tip to apply this to my chin (zit) area. I literally see the gunk dry up and crumble when I apply this (sorry to be gross). Doesn't prevent pimples but does treat them. Doesn't stain towels or clothes.

This shrinks zits slightly, but isn't a miracle product. It also isn't very good at preventing zits. Luckily it doesn't dry out my skin. It has an herbal scent w/a hint of tea tree oil.

I had an inflamed zit 4 days ago, and I religiously dabbed this spot treatment onto it 2-3x a day. It didn't make it any smaller, but it did make the redness somewhat go away... I'm not sure if it's because it's salicylic acid in the ingredient or what... but when I used benzoyl peroxide spot treatment, they usually go away in about 2-3 days. Anyways, this product doesn't seem like it's really doing anything to my pimple, so I wouldn't buy again.

So far, it is working okay. It helped reduce some of my zits, others not so much. I like the packaging, because it comes in a little bottle in which you can pour the contents out of (onto a cotton ball or pad or whatever) vs. in a little roll-on tube which is not very hygienic at all.

I got this product as a substitute for Murad's insanely expensive .05% salicylic acid serum recommended to me. BB is a fave any way since there are more natural ingredients. The container is small and a little weird - I just shake out 4 or 5 drops into one palm and use my fingertips to apply the treatment to my nose and chin (I'm trying to control blackheads there). I don't use any cotton so that I don't lose any product. So far the product isn't drying me out like a 2% gel would and the blackheads are slowly purging. I would change the scent if I could but it's not a deal breaker.
