love it.
no other words, love it. i went through what i'd like to call my dallas hair faze, where i was constantly walking around with huge, bouncy j. simpson style curls & it was allll thanks to this bad boy [: like the last reviewer said, the size of the barrel can look intimidating, but i was at a point in life where "go big or go home" had become a daily mantra for my hair. that was almost two years ago - and to this day, i'm still using this. what i like about it is even though it is such a huge barrel, there's a ton of different looks you can get with this one tool. my favorite, i do almost on a daily basis, i like to jus' lightly curl the hair that frames my face away from my face (because straightening it is just a lost damn cause) so i get flowy, hippie-hair curling away from my face. really pretty <3 i definitely recommend. continued >>

I'm a die-hard Hot Tools curling iron fan and have almost all the sizes except the 2" -- so I was at Sally's today and they had a sale on the Helen of Troy curling iron. I bought the 2" Gold Plated curling iron at $29.99 after discount (recently read in a magazine about the 2" iron creating beach waves curls). Came home and tried it, setting it at 380F, and OMG it's perfect !! I was kind of afraid looking at the 2" iron cuz it just plains looks HUGE and because I have a coarse asian hair that won't hold curls well, I was always a bit afraid to try new curling iron (even though I do know Hot Tools and Helen of Troy is the same company, but then they make the Revlon curling iron too, and that one plain sucks!) Back to the topic, I absolutely am blown away by this 2" curling iron, it doesn't "poof" me up, since my hair is thick and usually if I curl too close to the roots, I end up with a "Lion head" look. I would recommend the 2" curling iron to anyone who has long hair and just want a loose wavy look :) I gave it 4 lippie instead of 5 simply because I don't think it's a HG status kind of curling iron, and I don't think ppl will necessary NEED a 2" curling iron.
