I own this in very cherry... I know Maybelline has since come out with a Very Cherry in their color sensational line (which I would love to get just for comparison between their two different lines, same color) I love the color. A very bold red. It has a bit of shimmer but once applied to the lip, its not really noticable, which I also enjoy. It does give a very wet look, nice and glossy. You don't need a gloss over top because its all included in the lipstick. I do recommend a liner as it feathers (of course, being so bold, this is a no brainer) I would repurchase, but honestly, I haven't seen them carried in stores recently... so, I guess off to more color sensational to see if the new Very Cherry works out as nicely!
