Too light for me as an NC35, workable on an NC30, and probably perfect on an NC25. I really like the spreadable but tacky texture and the slight sheen. Can be used as a base or even a wash by itself. The packaging feels solid and is really cute. I'm sticking with Too Faced Shadow Insurance for now but I'm definitely keeping my eye out for a slightly darker gold beige cream eye shadow from Benefit!

This is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a cream shadow that was neutral and evened out the lids, like a primer but also one that could be worn on its own. I had MAC painterly and while I liked it, it made my lids dry and peely. I tried Bobbi Brown long wear cream shadows in various shades (bone, malted etc) none were quite right, they were dry , stiff and hard to work with, and my biggest pet peeve, the pot lid opening was too small you use fingers to apply. Enter Benefit. Lovely creamy shades, non drying, pot lid big enough to apply with finger if you want to. This color is wonderful (I am an nc15). I dont know why it is getting such low reviews. Its a really nice eye opening wide awake look, to swipe this on, tightline with BB gel el in espresso, mascara and go. Nice everyday look. You look wide awake but not like you are wearing makeup.

I really wanted to love this product since it was expensive. But sadly I didn't .... the only thing I love about this product is the packaging. Its so adorable. But the product is just TERRIBLE. It is very dry and not creamy at ALL. And it tends 2 crease on me on the inner corners of my eyelids. Which is so weird. But yah , I wouldn't buy this product again. I just absolutely hate it.

Came cheap as part of a special offer. Works nicely as a wash to brighten a nude eye. Blends right into skintone. Buildable. Does crease on me if I wear more than a few hours.

Over a year ago I received a sample of the color RSVP and fell in love with it, I use it under all my eyeshadows and it never creases or cakes. Today I just bought a new color Birthday Suit and it looks great under my makeup as well. I love how creamy it is and that small pot I had got as a sample didnt change consitency in 1 year. I really like how its buildable in color if you wait the 30 seconds but I have had no problems with my shadow budging once I use this. I tell everyone I know to use this product

Received this in a little gift bag after buying another one of BeneFits products but did not work for me. I used it with eyelid primer as well and without and the shadow was very pretty but it creased A LOT on me :(
I really wanted this to work. But still, I do like many of their other products :)
This may work wonderfully for someone who does not have such oily lids

I bought this product because i wanted to buy something like a cream shadow and we were at the airport so it was tax free. I swatched it on my hand and it looked like a really nice pink/nude but when i got round to using it on my lid ( after the flight!) It came out exactly my skin tone not only that but it didn't compliment my lid colour and infact made it look "muddy"! I decided to just keep trying with other eye shadows and different combinations but nothing made it look pretty! To top it off after about 5 uses the actual product started clumping up in the jar (after rubbing my finger over it it would gather up and the next time i used it the clump would have dried out!). Another thing to mention is the amount you get I paid £11.00 and got 1mm-2mm in the jar! I simply dont understand why theres only 5g difference between it and a paint pot by mac?!?
I think the packaging is so beautiful but for quality and quantity i would hands down go with a mac paint pot.

I bought this product a half year ago and I must say that I am really dissapointed... It creases during the day (when I don't put a primer underneath it!) and to me, the price is really too high. I have the color 'busy signal' and I like the color as a eyeshadow but not as a eyeliner. I wouldn't buy this product again.

Oh my, I have been wearing this every single day since I bought it! It's a pale gold, almost skin-color cream shadow with a pearly finish. It lasts the whole day on my lids, over 12 hours, without a primer! I have oily lids so it does fade in my crease, but I found that applying some loose powder underneath took care of that. I also got the color Strut and I'm crazy about that too. I just wish there was a larger variety of shades. I feel Benefit shades tend to be mostly on the warmer side, which unfortunately tend to wash me out.

i absolutely love this as a wear alone e/s that lasts me all day long (8hrs + w/ NO creasing!). it is a perfect natural neutral color for that "why yes i just wake up looking this fresh with no make up" look. it's not as opaque as the mac paint pots, but i like that i have the control to layer it on as i see fit.
it is pretty awful as a base, but i use my UDPP as a base anyway so i don't know why ppl insist on trying to use this e/s as a base, altho i can see how the color will match most ppl's skin too much and may be pointless on many skin tones so i strongly suggest trying it out at your local sephora to see how it turns out on you before you buy it.

I wanted to try this as it looked so easy to put on of a morning. I found that my eyeshadow creased throughout the day and that it dries out quite quickly. Maybe I got a dud pot seeings as it rates so highly! I like the colour range but don't think that this is quite for me.

After applying this product on my eye lids, i did not notice a different at all! I only gave it a 3 star rating because it would probably work nice as a base or primer before adding an eye shadow. Does not seem to crease which is amazing considering it's a creamy product! I would love to try out the other creaseless shadows by benefit to see if i like any of those better. I am just not a big Primer girl so this product is kinda useless to me :(

I obtained this product from Sephora when it was on sale 2 for $10....WOW!!! Super impressed. I decided to put it on solely for work to add a little color to my lid, expected it to crease within minutes because of my extremely oily lids...NOPE!!! It worked amazingly. I applied two layers, and could have gotta three on if I wasn't rushing for work, and I'm sure it would have worked even more wonders. Looking forward to obtaining other creaseless shadows. I also have Honey Bunny and it's the same color as my skintone....SUPER looking forward to using it as a base for my shadows!!!!

I love using cream bases to transform/add character to my eyeshadows. Recently, I've been loving MAC Paint Pots, and since the permanent line's color selection is a bit lacking, I wanted to find some comparable creams from other brands. I heard that BeneFit's creaseless cream shadows worked sort of in the same way as the MAC ones, so I headed to Sephora and found that they had a promotion, two colors for only $10! The regular price for one is $19, so of course I grabbed the set to try. So far I've only worn Recess, the lighter one, and I like it a lot. I've been looking for a light base that will make my pearlier/lighter shadows pop more, and this product does that fairly well. I love the finish/texture. It is very similar to the Satin finish of MAC paint pots like Groundwork. That is to say that it is matte but not chalky, with a sheen that mimicks the finish of bare skin, and it has no particles of shimmer or glitter. The only problem is that it is a little sheer for my liking, but I will try layering it and see if that does the trick. It pairs great with MAC Shroom to give you a soft pale all-over eyelid color.

I'm really loving our Sephora. I bought this in a set with Honey Bunny for only $10 in a cute little black bag (each shadow would have cost me $19 otherwise). Both shades are neutral, with Honey Bunny being a bit darker and pinker, and Recess a bit more golden. I've only used another cream shadow, Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow, and found those to be quite lacking. The good brands are expensive, so I'm reluctant. With this special sale, I am able to play with a nicer cream shadow, and I'm not disappointed. These make a good base that doesn't crease. I would need to try more colors to see if they work well on their own. I layered the Honey Bunny onto the lid area, and put the Recess as a highlight on the browbone, then carefully brushed Urban Decay Stray Dog shadow lightly over the top of the lid color for a "no makeup look". Both the brow and lid color stayed put all day. The only thing that is preventing me from buying this is the price. I don't mind spending $30-$40 for a palette, but not nearly
$20 for one shadow. I like variety in my products and colors. I would not buy this again at the regular price, but if a special came up again, I would definitely snatch it up.

I got this eyeshadow today at Sephora they were having a promotion and I am so glad I did, this works so good as a base, its a preety nuetral color so it works for allmost all eyeashadows especially the lighter ones.I suggest you run to Sephora for their Anniversary sale and pick this up it was a steal for 10.00$ for two of the Creaseless Eyeshadows bases, they came in a cute black seethrough mess bag all wrap up nicely.

I've been wearing all the Benefit creaseless cream shadows for a few weeks now but I just recently discovered this shade. It was only available on benefitcosmetics.com although I've never been to a BeneFit store or counter so it might be sold there as well. Just so you know, this shade is not available at Sephora.

BeneFit describes Recess as a "creamy beige pearl," which is fairly accurate for a change. On my olive-toned NC 25 skin, Recess is the perfect base color. It doesn't add any color to my lids at all but is opaque enough to cover any ruddiness or discoloration. I love how the subtle pearl finish keeps Recess from looking flat and too matte yet isn't sparkly or shimmery. The shade itself reminds me quite a lot of my old favorite, MAC Bare Canvas. The only differences are that on me Bare Canvas is lighter, has an very subtle shimmery opalescence instead of a pearl finish, and offers more coverage.

BeneFit creaseless cream shadows are not as creamy as MAC Paint Pots and not as thick as MAC Paints. I find that this lighter texture makes the BeneFit shadows easier to blend and work with. The coverage is also on the sheer side. The Benefit cream shadows crease on me at the end of a long day in very hot dishrag humid weather when worn without a primer but just the lightest layer of UDPP underneath takes care of the creasing.

Another reason why I love these shadows is how they don't look like spackle when worn over a primer. Try Recess if Honey Bunny is too pink/dark for you. I also love how all the BeneFit creaseless cream shadows "grab" powder shadow, which is why I prefer to layer them under a powder shadow.
