This is the flat iron they use when I get my Japanese Hair Straightening(TR) done, once a year. It is pretty amazing, with just one pass my hair shines like glass.. I don't own one, but called my salon to ask which Iron they use, was thinking about buying one. In the end I decided to replace my Sedu flat iron with another Sedu. Which I continue love.

LOVE
This flat iron dominates! Usually, for my hair to look its best I have to blow dry it out (thats one hour) then straighten it (another hour) then! Its still kinda poofy so i wrap it up with some serum and sleep in it, then in the morning, maybe it will look like naturally straight hair. if I am planning on going out somewhere, there is no way Im straightening it the same day....Ill usually go out with a couple days old hair so it will be shinier, smoother, act
Exceppppt with this flat iron!!! I can straighten my hair 15 minutes before Im going to go out and its perfectly straight! Its crazy. I mean I still have to spend the hour blow drying of course. But straightening is so much quicker and I don't have to wait a day for my hair to look nice. it looks good right after ironing. Only thing is, it does get pretty hot so I'm afraid it will damage my hair more than my reg ceramic iron. I told myself id only use it on special occasions but I finish my hair so quickly with it. Anyways, best flat iron Ive ever used.

I really love this flat iron. For reference, I have very thick, medium-coarse ringlets. My hair is so tightly curled naturally that when curly it's at my shoulders and when straight at my bra strap. I previously owned a MaxiGlide, and while it did the job well, I felt that the little spines (combs your hair as you straighten) were breaking/pulling out hairs.

I did lots of research and found this gem. It's used professionally usually, so I had to dig around online and find the best price (I think it was overstock.com). I purchased the wet-to-dry version so that I'd be fine if my hair was slightly damp, but mostly use this on dry hair.

PROS:
1. I love that it's digital so I know with certainty what temperature I'm using.
2. Heats up quickly.
3. Hair stays straight and straightens relatively quickly (for me, quickly is about 2.5 hours for my whole head).
4. I use the edge to gently flip the ends when I get to the tips so my hair doesn't look so stick straight.
CONS:
1. None!

This is truly underrated! I would repurchase if it lasts. I've had it for about a year now (I'm not expecting it to die soon).

BEST FLAT IRON OUT THERE! I have had not one, but TWO CHIs (One turbo, one original), and they both just short-circuited one day--I had not dropped them or ruined them in any way, so that really sucked...I then bought a a HAI to replace the CHI, but it didn't get that hot and didn't leave my hair silky and shiny....And then after a salon straightened my hair beautifully, I found out that this was the iron they used...bought it for $150 1.5 years ago, and I have not been disappointed at all! Love the digital temperature reading too...makes my hair sooo beautiful! Amazing iron! Highly recommended! Especially since Farouk was bought out by a cheap company a few yrs ago that purposely creates crappy flat irons that will wire out at some point, so that you (the customer) will continue to repurchase from them..Don't fall for that trick!
Edit: Not that great after all...I found ceramic irons work better with my hair and make it shinier and less damaged than this titanium iron...Switching back to ceramic has helped my hair so much more and I'm sad I can't get back 150 bucks for the disuse of this iron nowadays...
Repeat Update: This flat iron sucks and I have bought, not one, not two, but THREE other expensive flat irons in an atempt to find something that works quickly and efficiently for my curly thick hair! Nonetheless, all three of these other irons are not only cheaper but better than the Croc.

I am going to add to the hype of the Croc Turbolon Flat Iron. This is the flat iron that salons use with the Brazilian Blowout and let me tell you it works! It is the hottest flat iron that I have ever used, it reaches 450 degrees. I just got mine and couldn't wait to use it. My husband asked me if I got the brazilian blowout because it looked so straight and smooth. Something that I have never been able to achieve on my own before..without going to the salon of course! My hair is very thick and has wave to it. I have had a HAI and a CHI before, but this one is by far the best! I love my CROC flat iron!

LOVE THIS IRON!! I tried using a CHI and it broke after 4 months! :( This iron heats up so fast and leaves me hair super silky. I love that i only have to go through a section once. With other irons i'd have to go 3 or 4 times. CROC is so underrated....Must TRY! :)

I got this a couple of years ago and really, really love it. I love the design and how it has a ridge, because with my older irons (Chi, and Sedu - both of which broke after a few months. Chi shorted out and the Sedu just stopped working) my hand would sometimes travel up and get burned on the iron. With the shape of this iron, that doesn't happen, and the grips make me feel like I have more control. Also, with the Chi and Sedu I had, I didn't feel like I was getting what I was paying for; they just felt cheap. In fact, if you're looking for a good, cheap iron, I got the Revlon $20 one that looks like a Chi and it worked just as well as the Chi and Sedu.
The Croc gets hotter than other irons, which I like because I can turn up the heat when I have a particularly stubborn crimp or cow-lick. The plates are nice and glide easily over my hair. I like how expensive it looks; the digital display and blinking LED light are cool. I also like that the cord is really long, because I live in an old apartment and the outlets are so far away from the mirror! The cord swivels, too, which is also a bonus.
I do feel that because it doesn't have as much name recognition that it is hard to sell people on this product when it costs just as much as big-name brands like Chi, but I think people just buy for brand name and not quality. In the end, all people see is what your hair looks like, not what brand of iron you have sitting on your vanity back home. I was skeptical to try it but honestly I won't be going back to Chi or Sedu.

I have FRIZZY semi-curly hair, that is "thick as God," according to my hair stylist. In other words, it's a pain to straighten, and smooth. But this product is so far my HG! I have used a Chi iron, and other mall-bought irons like Pro-Select (whatever that is), to no avail. They would straighten my hair, but would look fake after I did it, almost like I actually ironed my hair with a clothes iron. The Croc makes my hair actually very silky smooth, and my hair looks almost as good as after a day at the salon. I don't know if my stylist was afraid this would happen or what, but I did cancel my most recent appointment with her, as I can now handle my own hair. What a godsend! Plus, it straightens when your hair is still slightly damp, which is a major time saver, and allows your style to last for days! Can't say enough good things about this product.
