I am very pale and have had a lot of trouble finding the perfect red. This color compliments my skin wonderfully. It is very opaque and the wear time is great. This color is a very classic retro red. It has become a staple in my collection and my HG of red nail polish. This is perfect for cool skin tones

This is a bright, true red. My search for the perfect red nail polish is over! It is very opaque and goes on so smoothly. I only use one coat! I love Zoya in general because they are free of all the harmful chemicals that you find in regular nail polishes. Highly recommend!

I'd describe this color as a glamorous tomato soup red, its just so bright and pretty! And its extremely opaque and pigmented, it could be a 1 coater...seriously. I only did 2 because I'm OCD about my nails but 1 coat would have been fine. Some say Zoyas take forever and a day to dry, this one toop a bit longer than my other salon brands but I those dry like instantly, this one took maybe 30-40 mins until I felt it was "undentable" and therefore dry. Which was fine. Anyway, gorgeous color, nice app and cute name. I'd recommend this to anyone who likes red or brights.

I love Zoya but their color descriptions are a bit wonky. They say this is cool yet this is a bright corally red with nothing remotely cool about it. I don't know what they are talking about. At any rate, I am glad I didn't listen to them. This is exactly what I was hoping it would be. A gorgeous summer red. Cream, no shimmer just the way I like it. Goes on like a dream. Very opaque. No streaking or bubbling. Just perfect.

I received this as part of the La Di Da sampler for the Summer of 09 collection.
According to the website, this polish is described as:
Perfect medium red cream.
Tone: Cool
Finish: Cream
Color Family: Pinks
Intensity: 5(1= Very Shear to 5= Very Opaque)
My opinion:
I would have to agree with the stament that this is the PERFECT midium red cream. I has a great, smooth finish and is a very classic looking red polish.
In terms of tone, I do not really consider this a cool tone. To me it looks like a true red, leaning more to the warm side if anything. I don’t see any blue in this red when I wear it. I have light olive skin, and anything too cool (unless it is saturated or dark) doesn’t flatter my skin tone. This I think suites me well. However, it clearly is NOT an orangey red either. I would say it’s pretty neutral.
As for intensity; HOLEY SMACKS! This stuff is so pigmented; it goes on complete opaque and streak free in just one coat! That is amazing! (Dita form this collection demonstrated this quality as well)
In terms of wear, as Zoya claims, they are VERY long lasting, especially when you use the color lock system. I was weary on this color lock system because I am a fan of quick dry topcoats, but I read on several blogs/posts that the color lock system is really ideal for these polishes due to the nature of their formula, and have been using it recently and have been impressed with the results. I go 3-4 days before any obvious signs of wear, which is amazing for me. I usually get wear/chips in 1-2 days because I use my hands a lot, especially when I am working. I then tried it with my regular quick dry topcoat, and it still lasted several days, so I am really loving these polishes!
In terms of application, as I discussed earlier, it goes on very smooth and streak free. The constancy of Zoya polishes are different then most others, so I do struggle a bit with creating “the gap” at the cuticle because the polishes seem to be a little bit thinner – but they are not runny either. They also tend to go on in thinner coats. It’s odd, and takes some getting used too. One nice surprise, it actually dries rather quickly, so I don’t miss my quick dried too much.
General consensus: I really like this as a classic red nail polish, a real staple in any decent collection if you ask me. Of course, for all of us nail polish addicts, this color is really nothing amazing and is most certainly easily dupable, but since I find it to be such great quality, I would recommend this if you are in the market for a classic true red.
