Ivory is a fair shade with a pink/grey undertone. On my PPP skin it looks dirty and dull. I guess thats the "earthy" tone they refer to on the website description? I'd call it "Ashy' myself. It goes on light but within an hour or so melts into the skins oils and gets too dark.
The pressed formula is horrible. It is thick and cakey but still see-through and shiny so it provides no coverage and actually highlights more flaws than no makeup at all! Try it on the back of your hand - the hand without pressed foundation will look younger and prettier. It makes skin look dry and wrinkly, and the makeup collects into lines and leaves other parts of the face bare. It looks dry and wrinkly but at the same time its sheer reflective shiny color, not real coverage. It smells like crayons, breaks me out and itches my skin like crazy. The quality of EM pigments is cheap, cheap, cheap, with dull colors and they're coarsely finely milled so they sit in wrinkles.
The lid is hard to pull open and messy loose powder flies into the air when you manage to yank it off. The metal pan is not secured properly to the cardboard packaging so it rattles around and shakes the powder apart within days. If you remove the pan before it breaks it does fit into an old round Bobbi Brown cream foundation compact to protect it better.
