Even if the product wasn't any good at all, I'd still buy it again since it smells amazing. It is very fun to put this on, melting it in your hands first. Speaking of its actual purpose, i absolutely love it and prefer it over regular cocoa butter (which i used before on my stretchmarks) - it's easier to apply and it feels more nourishing and less wax-ey, than, say, Cococare Yellow Stick. I use it as a moisturiser on the driest areas of my body (did wanders to my hands after they were ruined by the sun during my beach vacation), for the stretchmarks, especially - I think they have faded a little (nothing magical, though) over 2 months. Also i apply it on my split ends (very important no to overdo it here) - they are definetely healthier and look and feel sleeker. Overall, i am completely satisfied with the product. For the best results it is important to use it right - alternating with a moisturizing cream or gel, since natural oils and butters can dry the skin out if used exclusively for long periods of time. I got it on iherb.com for less than $7, you can use my code IKI777 to get $5 or $10 off your first order.

This is my HG skin and hair product. Cocoa butter's skin softening qualities are well known, but I almost accidentally stumbled upon using it in my daily hair routine. My hair is very, very dry, processed, fine, and wavy/curly to boot so it can use all the moisturizing help it can get. I used to use Lush's henna bars to great effect until I realized that it was the cocoa butter in it that helped the most (henna is awesome too). I usually dig out a little bit of this, warm it up between my hands and use it to SOTC over my gel. The bottle itself is cumbersome and somewhat unhygienic since you're constantly dipping your fingers in it. The price is about $11-14 and you can find it at most health food stores in Toronto. Now brand cocoa butter (without jojoba oil) is also available easily.

I was excited to try this product, as I LOVE both cocoa butter and jojoba oil for moisturizing my skin. Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed with this product. It was very lumpy when I opened it (which is fine), but the lumps were completely SOLID, I could barely even dig my finger in to remove any of the product (and the product I did remove was crumbly and didn't "melt" on my skin at all). In between the lumps the product was more soft, so I was able to get a bit of the cream out, but nothing significant. To "solve" the problem, I scooped everything out, put it in a microwave-safe container, and heated it up. This helped to soften everything and level out the cream. However, after sitting overnight, it became extremely hard again. I was so disgusted I just threw it out. I understand that a product naturally hardens at room temperature and melts while on the skin, but something went terribly wrong with this product. Maybe I just got a "bad batch" or something. The only positive is it smelled amazing! I just tried NOW's shea butter, and am VERY pleased with it! It is also hard at room temperature, but is easy to scoop out and does soften/melt while on the skin. Works wonders on dry skin! :)

What an awesome product this is! It's 75% pure cocoa butter and 25% pure jojoba. It smells AMAZING... like warm melted chocolate and butter. It has the consistency of cold butter at room temperature and melts into an oil at body temperature. If it's too oily I mix it with a little cheap body lotion and it helps the oil soak in better. It makes skin super smooth. I got it for $9 at the local health food store. That's cheaper than supposed "cocoa butter" lotions with hardly any cocoa butter in them. There is enough of it to last a while, 6.5 fl oz. It's in a dark bluish purple plastic jar with a silver lid and a yellow label.
