This color is so beautiful. It is very heavy on the reddish tinge, but it still looks flattering on. When I don't want any shimmer in my crease, I always use this. It blends very effortlessly, which is why I'm giving it a five. The red undertones bring out the green in my eyes.

I found this colour too warm for me (NW20 with green eyes) and couldn't work with the red tones. The pigmentation and wear were good though.

This is my favorite crease color for my skin tone (NC50) and it goes well with most of my MAC brown shades. It goes well with Romp (now discontinued) and Tempting. It blends out nicely and when I wear it with Romp it literally looks like the color of a chocolate bar. It isn't too dark or too red. It is perfect and it is a shade that I would buy time and time again.

I'm very fair skinned so this colour looks great in the crease. I like to wear it with Naked Lunch and Expensive Pink on the lid. It goes with so many of MAC's other shades. It's probably my favourite matte MAC shade.

Initially bought this thinking it would be a wonderful subtle contour shade on the outer part of my crease to add more depth. Swiss chocolate is way LESS brown & lighter than that I expected, so it doesn't serve that purpose. My FAITHFUL natural crease colors have been combos of brown script/texture or brown script/saddle, (used interchangeably) now this e/s serves the same purpose. It SLIGHTLY defines & darkens my crease a little more than saddle but not to much where it looks muddy, akward or too dark. I use brown script to add extra warmth & dimesion to the crease when using saddle or texture, or just use it alone. Swiss chocolate DERIVES from brown script e/s, (a brown version of it) so this is all I need in the crease. A great shadow for a sexier crease & nice edition to my already beloved transition colors. continued >>

This is a great crease color. It's a softer crease color for me, but I love it. It's perfect for everyday use. I usually will put on groundwork paint point with this in the crease and that's it. I love to use this in the crease with Naked pigment on the lid and as a highlight. I'm an NW45 in MAC, for reference.

rarely get excited about eyeshadows, i am about this.
rich, matte chocolate brown with red undertones as has been said before.
but this is a truly beautiful brown, because the redness in this preserves this warm, chocolatey vibrant colour with a slight hint of burgundy. whereas some other browns can get very grey once applied. also because this is a matte; the colour performs even better because there is no shimmer to reflect any light onto it. this is also really buildable and blendable, so you can get pretty much any look you want with this. this also makes an interesting liner thanks to again, the matte formula.
i'm wearing this today in my crease with Grain on the lid.

Swiss chocolate is a brown with definite red undertones that show through on my NC 50-55 skintone. I use this as a crease color. This is a great staple shade.

HG brown! After dying my naturally red hair brunette, I noticed that the new color didn't flatter my green eyes as much. (The color didn't flatter any of my other features either - lesson learned). Having read here that this shadow really brings out the blues and greens in people's eyes, I picked up Swiss Chocolate at my Mac counter a few days ago without even swatching it. I am in love. It is beautiful - silky and creamy, and can be applied as either a light wash of color or darkened enough to use in the outside corner of a smoky look. The shadow name is spot on - it's a warm brown with red undertones that looks like melted swiss chocolate. This is a great color to use under the lash line, because unlike cooler (blue or grey-based browns), this won't make you look tired or even worse, bruised. I was rushed this morning and wore a light wash of it on my lids and darkened it in the crease, blending it into Shroom under my brows - fast, easy and it made my eye color look intense.

Works fabulously as a crease colour and is very blendable, with an angled brush it can also be used to fill in brows. It lives up to the quality of all MAC eyeshadows and is definately worth the price tag. Swiss Chocolate is a beautiful muted brown with red undertones and works well on everybody.

I tend to use this as a crease color since I am a darker WOC and I LOVE this shade. It's not too much yet just enough in the crease. It warms up the eye in my opinion, I'm happy I purchased this.

This is my all time favorite eyeshadow ever!!the color is a beautiful warm brown and it makes my green eyes just pop!On days that I wake up late,I just put this on my lid blend it up into shroom. On days that I have time,I use mythology on my lid with swiss chocolate blended in my crease with twinks in my outer v and I'm constantly getting compliments!! I would say I use this at least 4 times a week....all my other eyeshadows are jealous lol but they just don't rock my world like swiss chocolate!

I absolutely love this! I have a few Mac eyeshadows and this is my fave by far! I apply it lightly in my crease with shroom, yoghurt or ricepaper for a day look and heavier with goldmine and crystal avalanche for evening (I sometimes swap Swiss chocolate for carbon if I'm going for a black smokey look combined with shroom and crystal avalanche) but it is still my go to crease color for 90% of my looks!
Makes my blue eyes pop to! Would highly recommend this brown for anyone's collection, definately an HG for me :)

I don't think I need to say more more to describe this color since so many other reviewers have commented on that already, but i must say that I wish I wouldnt have waitied to buy this color for so long. I have many MAC browns and the MUA at the counter told me to not get it since i had so many other, so for a long time I ignored this shadow. On a whim, I recently bought it and boy am I glad since it's become my favorite daily crease color. it's a warm midtone brown that goes great with a wide range of lid colors (neutrals and even with bright blue and greens)...i used saddle alot before and also embark, and find that this colors depth is in between these two making it noticeable and not too dark for day wear. love it!

BEAUTIFUL. The name and colour make me want to eat it. I really needed this sort of brown in my collection. I love Brown Script (reminds me of the Australian desert) but it is too warm and red to go with some of my shadows.
Swiss Chocolate is superb, still warm but less red. A lovely, warm, edible brown colour which looks great with Amber Lights, Woodwinked, All That Glitters and you name it. I love this neutral brown, and it really makes my blue eyes twinkle. I am NW15 in Winter and NC25 in Summer for reference.

I have been on a mission for the last several months to try and find the perfect dark brown. I have this issue that a lot of brown eyeshadows turn gray or black on me. I've learned I have to be careful with cool undertones. I have a Carmindy one that looks lovely and bronzy but when I put it on, it turns this wierd gray color.
Anyway, I got embark, but I didn't like the texture-too hard to blend-and it was a little too dark for me. I tried Handwritten, but it ended up looking dusty and grayish on me. I tried Mulch, a cult favorite, and it turned muddy gray/black on me. I finally got Swiss Chocolate and it's perfect. It's less red than Corduroy (even though it looks more red in the pan). On me it's the perfect true chocolate brown, and the texture is perfect. It blends well and you can build it easily. I'm sure it's too red on a lot of people, but if you have the same weird "browns turning gray" issue that I have, try it!
I wore it today with Arena (another recent amazing discovery) on the lid, Swiss Chocolate in the crease, and Gesso on the lid (yes, I am so pale that Gesso looks natural on me).
Lately I've found the Swiss chocolate can have purplish cast to it depending on what you pair it with so it's a great brown for purple looks. I love it more every time I use it.

Can't believe it has taken me so long to buy this shade. I love red toned browns in a smoky eye so this is perfect. also looked great as a really subtle crease shade with stila kitten for a more natural but polished look

This is a really lovely warm chocolate mid-brown. Silky and blendable. Looks lovely against blue eyes, really pops them out. Not crazy pigmented but does the job nicely!

I am around NC50 and this is my go to crease color when I wear a bright color on my lids I brought it on the recommendation of Scandalous beauty from youtube. This is a very warm color seems to have some red in it but it works for my cool skintone great color for WOC's to have in their collections.
