I have chronically dry, peeling lips and this paw paw ointment was just average as a lip balm. I used it at night and during the day for about two weeks, and while my lips didn't peel, the skin was still quite dry and rough. Exfoliating my lips in the morning helped, but by midday they would be dry again. Although it doesn't work as a lip balm, it works very well as a cuticle moisturizer. When I apply it on my cuticles, it eliminates dry cuticle skin and makes nail polish application neater. However, I wouldn't buy it again because there are plenty of cheaper cuticle oils that work just as well. Paw paw ointment seems to work better for other people, so my experience shouldn't totally discourage you from trying it.
This is the BEST paw paw I have ever tried!! I was shocked to find out other brands contained petroleum jelly! Not only is this 100% natural but it has a much better flavour. I havn't had dry lips since using this product. I LOVE IT!! I also use it to remove eye makeup!
Instant favorite.
This balm is light but so moisturizing and absorbs quickly. I love that this has organic honey (which my skin likes a lot), and the very subtle taste is an added bonus. The packaging is adorable, and I will definitely be purchasing more of these to stash about, but I do have one gripe. The tube I ordered from Spirit Beauty Lounge was only about 2/3 full. Not sure if it's just a fluke, so I will hope for the best next time.
This is my favourite balm to use when I have wind burn or chapped lips I also use it on my face sometimes when I have rashes or burns. it is very similar to lucas pawpaw ointment but I can't use that as the lucas contains petroleum which breaks me out. however suvana doesnt have any in it so doesnt break me out and leaves my lips and skin soft.

This is nice stuff. It smells like chocolate and honey. I mostly use it as a lip balm, and not on my cuticles as well like I do with the Lucas version.
No particular reason why not though...
It is more expensive than the Lucas but it smells much nicer as a lip balm too :)
Really nice balm, but does have some issues.
Pros: lovely smell, very moisturising and soothing, easy to use (good squeeze tube), organic and natural
Cons: gets lumps in it in cooler weather and sometimes hard to squeeze out of the tube, way too expensive for what you get (AU$9.95 from Target!! Twice what I'd expect)
Overall, I would buy again as I haven't found anything better in the "natural" range of cosmetics available in Australia.

I adore this balm. All the best stuff seems to come from Australia and Japan. Darn. This is one of my all time favorite balms (It actually does moisturize and is Organic!). I use it on my hands, randome dry spots, and lips..of course. I love how it comes in a big tube and consists of natural ingredients. No nasties like petrolatum. The consistency is thick and soft but if it's in a hot enviroment it will get runny. It smells nice (a mild cocoa scent) and is the color of honey. It hurts to order this due to the shipping cost but for me, it's worth it. I order from BareNakedBeauty.com.au

I really love this lipbalm because it makes my lips feel really smooth. The ingredients used are all organic and it doesnt contain any petroleum which makes my lips feel dry and cracked. I usually put this on at nighttime and when I wake up in the morning I find that my lips feel much nicer and softer. I'm also not as dependent on this lipbalm so it lasts me a really long time. I bought it from the chemist for about $10 but I recently saw it in target $6.75 so at that price it's a bargain!

This product caused my lips to be very dry and chapped for the first few days of use. I believe that this may have been due to my lips adjusting to being without a petroleum barrier for the first time in many years. After the first few transitional days, my lips suddenly made a turn around; they were soft and healthy and, unlike before, I didn't feel the need to constantly apply lip product to make them feel comfortable.
This is a reasonably effective, petroleum-free lip product. It did, however, have several downsides that will prevent me from repurchasing. Most importantly, it had an irritating effect on my throat when I breathed in through my mouth while this was on my lips. I am not sure why this happens, but it's very unpleasant. In cold weather, the balm solidifies to an extent and several of the ingredients seperate from each other, causing hard lumps. The balm can be hard to squeeze out and eventually, the tube cracked down the side before I had used up all of the product.
