This is a great alternative to Clarins UV Plus, which seems to be a favourite among many here, including myself. My big issue with Clarins UV Plus is the exorbitant price tag, and it just wasn't economical to keep using it, so I had been looking around for an alternative. Like the Clarins, this is a white fluid, only the consistency is a lot more watery, and it's absorbed quickly. My skin stays matte for longer than if I were to use the Clarins, even though I use moisturizer before I pat the Kose on. This also doesn't leave a white cast, unlike some other brands of sunscreen, so you can use it on its own without foundation or powder. I get mine from strawberry.net, so minus taxes it's about US$28, which isn't so hard on the purse, even though it''s a rather small bottle at 30ml. The only complaint I have about this is the weird metallic smell that lingers long after the sunscreen has sunk into your skin. It's really quite annoying, but with so many other plus points to balance that out, I guess I could live with it.
