As I promised I would write the reviews for the Annayake skin care line, I'll start with this one- I think I have about 10-15 different annayke face product to review...
This is a very light moisturizer for normal skin. I have dry skin but I use it, I actually alternate with the same precise care for dry skin.The reason behind this is because I travel a lot, and skin conditon changes quickly because of that, one day I'm in NYC with freezing temperatures, and at the end of the same week, I'm in Singapore with soaring temps and 90% humididy, hence the need for diverse skin routines.
This particualr moisturizer is not a cream but a lotion, very light, and with a scent that is particular to annayake products, very nice, faint scent that I have found is most of their product.
I use this lotion after using the Annayake equalizing lotion-which is actually a toner, or a fluide preaprateur- then my dermalogica gentle shooting booster and the skin is moisturized ,VERY,very soft, and hydrated.
You don't need to use a toner beforehand if you don't have one,nor a serum, as it works perfectly on its own on cleaned skin.
I use it that way when I feel lazy, and the skin is still very soft.
One thing I really like about the Annayake products is that for me, they do what they say they will, and this lotion does exactly that,it hydrates,leave my skin soft and luminous.
It has ginseng in it , so maybe that's the secret ingredient.
Now about the price, well, it's Annayake, so girls, brace yourselves when you reach the counter, but for me it is worth the price. In this case, you get what you pay for, the results justify the price.
And if it's any consolation this one is actually on the cheaper side at about 49.00 € - yes, I know, it's still high, but compared to the Annayake Anti temps cream which I also use and that is the same 50 ml, but 99.00 € - you get the idea...
But if you can afford it, I dare say Annayake is one of the best cosmetic brands on the market, if you use their products with consistency, literally within weeks of use , you'll wonder how you ever lived without them, and your skin -providing the products are right for you- will look positively glorious.
