Talulah is a small company that makes 100% organic skin care products. I stumbled across them while searching for a new eye cream, because the stuff I had been using was ineffective and was giving me tiny dots of milia, making my under eye area look really rough and dull. Plus, I have bags that refuse to go away until 7pm...
While searching, I was thinking about what my ideal eye treatment would do for me, and I felt like I was asking for the impossible once I came up with my list: moisturize without clogging the pores, treat the existing milia, brighten and depuff, and maybe take care of/prevent some fine lines. Yeah, the only way that'll happen is if I somehow can go back in time and become 5 years old again...
I decided to give Talulah a try, since I'm on a natural/organic skin care kick. Plus the brand names I'd tried in the past with all the hype and the laundry list of preservatives, fragrances, etc has really proven to do nothing at all for me.
I was a bit wary of shelling to $36 on an eye treatment, but its claims of treating "Dark undereye circles, fine lines, fragile tissue, milia, slack undereye and brow bone tone, feathering tissue" won me over in the end. And it being "Ideal for oily and acne skin conditions" was just icing in the cake, because I've been a total pizza face since last month due to stress.
I got it in the mail last week, and couldn't wait to try it. Honest to god, INSTANT RESULTS! It absorbs right into the skin, no need for patting or rubbing. A quick, light sweep, and the skin drinks it up. The puffiness that's the bane of my existence didn't 100% disappear, but there was a noticeable tightening in the area.
It's been a little more than a week, and I'm astounded at how effective this product is. My milia is already starting to disappear. I wake up in the morning with less noticeable puffiness, and the entire eye area is brighter.
I don't know if this is a placebo effect, but I've tried a lot of eye products hoping for results that they rarely deliver. And when I think of all the crap that goes into those products, and their ineffectiveness, I'm kind of dumbfounded. This gel uses completely natural ingredients and has been able to deliver what it promised and exceeded my expectations. I suddenly feel like all the other companies, drugstore and department store brands, successfully pulled the wool over our eyes and have been feeding us BS. Jeebus.
UPDATE (a year later): It's a good refreshing little eye gel that does brighten and kind of detoxify (my milia lessened, yay!), but as for any wrinkle treatment, not so much. I still enjoyed for as long as it lasted, but after some reflection, I really am looking for something more anti-aging than this.
