This is a love child of Lolita Lempicka and Annick Goutal Songes. It opens with a blast of Parfums De Nicolai's signature hyacinth, slightly spicy, soon turns into a mellow, creamy blend of honey, coconut milk, jasmine and rose, very gourmand-like yet with a floral heart. The heart note is jasmine, lush but non-indolic jasmine.
I love the name as well, Juste Un Reve, Just a Dream, so lovely. It's indeed like a dream for me.

Smooth, thick, gently-fruited lush florals. Creamy floral with that touch of fruit juice, but not sparkly like todays' frutiyfloral girly scents. Very elegant and grown up. Black tie certainly. Dry down has an almost aldehydic feel, but very understated, and the sandalwood is a mere note that supports and enlarges the whole. Very very pretty

An uplifting, cheerful perfume - subtle yet distinct. I love the creaminess and richness of this perfume - Jasmine, Monoi, rose and peachy coconut. Perfect for summer and spring and lying on the beach relaxing. Reasonably good lasting power on my skin.

Thanks to Juste un Reve, I've discovered Parfums de Nicolai! Can't wait to try other PdN scents. I see that others classify Juste un Reve as a tropical floral, but it doesn't seem like that to me at all - at least not in the same category as many of the gardenia/tuberose/coconut/frangipane, etc., scents out there, such as Ensoleille Moi, Intense Tiare, Chantecaille Frangipane, Frangipane Absolut, Kai, and Monyette Paris. JuR is much more complex, subtle, and powdery than any of those scents. With top notes of apricot and coconut, it doesn't scream HELLO when you put it on. It's soft and fragrant. The middle notes of tuberose and jasmine are also tame, and the base notes of sandalwood and vanilla area so comforting. It's a beautiful, beautiful scent. I tried a sample of it along with samples of the others I listed above. Of them all, Juste un Reve and Monyette Paris are my favorites. Ensoleille Moi is my least favorite, and the others didn't work well for me. Just purchased a 30ml bottle of JuR on beautyhabit.com, and am considering Monyette Paris as well. If you haven't tried a PdN fragrance yet, do it now!!!

I bought the full bottle after I felt in love with my sample. This is simply gorgeous. It is light, classy, sophisticated and smells clean. I see this more of a spring, summer scent. I will buy this again for sure.

I don't get wood, it's not heavy at all. Sweet, fairly light and powdery. It does smell delicious but too sweet for me. I've been looking for a fragrance with tropical floral notes and my favourite so far is Nicolai's Cococabana.

Oh my how I love this fragrance. It is unforgettable to me. It evokes something dreamlike in me every time I put it on. It's hard to explain...it makes me feel different. It takes me back to some familiar yet not quite remembered place from my past. Though I am not quite sure exactly what the feeling or memory is, it is definitely a happy one. Sounds strange, but if I could say any fragrance suited me perfectly, this one is it. And I love that the name means Just a Dream. It is heavenly, and is an HG for me for Spring especially, and I look forward to wearing it anytime I can. It isn't quite an every day fragrance for me....it is a special one. To describe it in a different way.....it is like one of those perfect days, when you are just elated for no reason at all, and you notice the beautiful flowers, sunshine, the lovely smell of the grass, and you can't quite say why, but you are just HAPPY. Sensual, but not overt, soooooo beautifully blended and familiar!!

Like almost all other tropical flower fragrances, Juste Un Reve turned into a powdery, dusty, sour, slightly sweet mess on my skin almost immediately upon application. I like the PdN line even though I don't own one bottle from their collection, I think the perfumes are well done, well blended and on par with the best classic perfume houses. But this one just does not work on me. The only tropical flower fragrance I've found that I can wear is Ormonde Jayne's Frangipani Absolute. EDIT: I've given this a try several more times since the initial testing, and although I don't think this is a fragrance I would wear much, when it works on my skin, it works beautifully. JuR is a soft yet rich white floral with amber and tonka overtones, making it a beautiful summertime fragrance. It's truly gorgeous.

I, like several other reviewers here, ordered this fragrance unsniffed and based purely upon the rave reviews here. And to be honest, I was a little disappointed at first – I was expecting lush, tropical flowers, not a lush cloud of floral powder. Once it starts to dry down however, I begin to see what everyone else has described – a rich, creamy, soft floral that manages to be light and elegant at the same time. I think this will be a wonderful fragrance to wear all year round.

Just un Reve is a very very sweet floral with a tiny bit of powder in it. I wanted to love this, but it just didn't do much for me. My favorites are Balkis and Sacrebleu at the moment. wanting to get my hands of Vanille Tonka wich is also good.

My first impression of Just un Reve was that I was dreaming I was wearing Montale's Intense Tiare as they seemed to be remarkably similar. However, after going to get my Montale and applying it next to the Just un Reve I could see the differences. They are still very much in the same mood, but Juste un Reve is slightly more ethereal...a dream of being on a tropical beach, whereas with the Montale there is no question - you are *on* that Tahitian beach. Just un Reve has greater complexity and is lighter and more elegant with the notes or iris and rose than Intense Tiare. Stunningly beautiful. However, it's lasting power is not as great as the Montale. Frankly, I think both are essential as part of a tropical fragrance wardrobe.

Juste Un Reve is stunning and dreamy. It sends me into a reverie and I close my eyes spellbound. I detect how the velvety rose and barely there jasmine flirt with a running note of creamy monoi, which in turn, lends the composition the warmth of perfect tropical sunsets. Like a dream itself, Juste Un Reve, lacks the parameters of edges, a beginning and an end. It rhythmically moves to its own logic, but always finds its way to the nose like a tantalizing, sensational vapor.
Patricia de Nicolai has once again proven herself a master of seamless blending. One thing Vanille Tonka, Number One, and Juste Un Reve have in common is that they all suggest to me the fine mist of a vapor. While notes remain distinct and swell with imagery, they are so carefully fine-tuned and operational that they seem to disappear into the whole. What you end up with is something symphonic, organic, and often finer than its discrete parts. continued >>

When I sampled this, I thought it seemed familiar. Juste Un Reve is a ringer for the fragrance in Suave Professionals color care shampoo. It's a mildly heady, tropical--woodsy scent.

Unforgettable. This one would make a great "signature scent." A warm, floraly, fruity concoction, but not tropical at all to my nose. There's none of the dreaded coconutty, Hawaiian Tropic Suntan Oil smell I associate with a "tropical " fragrance.
JuR works in all weather, but it's powerful for an EdC-- a little lasts all day.
This is literally a lovely fragrance to wear at bedtime.

After having been curious about Just un Reve for 2 years, I was lucky enough to receive a sample as an extra in a swap! Very powdery on top, then a layer of sweetness, and woods underneath.
I have no problem with sweetness, and normally like powdery though alas PdR bothered my nose and made my teeth ache. I have a problem with most woods today, and there were enough woods in PdR to bid me pause. The final drydown was very similar to Allure on me. Very glad I finally had a chance to try this one. I could see how it would be lovely on others.

This is simply beautiful. It can work in warm or cold weather. It's interesting, unique, oh so warm. This is by far my favorite fragrance from this perfumer.

I ordered a sample just in case I didn't adore it as everyone else does here. THANK GOODNESS! It's a really strong fragrance. It heavy like Shalimar but a different scent... not my cup of tea.

My first try of PdN. Very, very disappointing and not at all what I had hoped for.
