I like this foundation, but I'm not sure if I would repurchase it.
Pros:
It lasts allll day.
The coverage is very good. It hides my imperfections very well.
I feel like it's very easy to apply.
Cons:
I look a few shades lighter when I take pictures. I was told it was because of the SPF.
Overall, it's great. But I really do hate the fact that I look so light in pictures. I want to be able to purchase one foundation that will look fine in person, and in pictures!

Orange. Thick. Unbreathable.
I don't even care if the last one's a word or not. I always heard great things about MAC and was suggested this foundation to cover up my heavy acne/scarring. First they matched me to NC37, but I went home and decided it was REALLY dark and orange. Same story for NC35 and NC30 ... to this day I can spot a MAC user from twenty feet away for the orange mask on their face. Okay, so the color range sucks. But will the formula make up for it?
In a word, NO. I read so many positive reviews about how little you need to cover your entire face. Was it just me? I did not need simply a pea-sized amount - this stuff is too thick and goopy and has NO spreadability! Ugh like putting a coating of orange plastic on my face. It didn't even leave a nice enough finish to bring back ANY points!
So not worth the 40CAD or so I paid for it. Oh yes, and the MAs were ruuuudee as anything every time I was there - particularly the first time, when I walked around for ages waiting for someone to help me/even ask if I needed help/assist me in some manner of courtesy whatsoever [they were not busy]. Really? Way to put me off buying any MAC cosmetics EVER, and recommending others do the same.
Folks ...the oompa loompa look is not hot. Also, I don't have particularly sensitive skin to products, but of course this also made me break out. So ... PIMPLY oompa loompas are even less attractive.

-GREAT coverage
-dewy, healthy finish
-GREAT staying power when set with powder
-doesn't oxidize (turn orange)
-covers acne scars, dark circles and active breakouts
-smells nice
-continually moisturizes
I have dry, sensitive, combination skin that flakes terribly in the winter and this foundation moisturized my skin so completely throughout the day that it actually HELPED my skin! I'm used to foundations that at best don't screw up my skin, not ones that actually help. That said, everyone's skin in different so if you're going to give this a try than visit MAC to get a sample so you can test it out for a while before buying.

The mac attendent suggested this for me to cover some scarring I had on my cheeks, however this product led to a bout of cystic acne that did not go away for ages. This reeally rarely happens to me. Its simply too oily and thick for most people, I'd assume, who are acne prone to wear. My skin can't breath in this. The coverage was great, colour a little yellow. I'd wear this for events and photoshoots only but never daily.

Strangely enough i'm prone to breaking out from most foundations and this one didn't cauase any. Even stranger is the fact that it went onto my extra dry skin with ease and stayed there all day without a hint of tightness. It would be great it the color I use, NC50, had more yellow tones to it but I am suitably impressed by this foundation so far. I use Imans concealer in Clay, which is a inty bit lighter, under my eyes and along where my laugh lines would be (if I had any). The two mix together perfectly. Neither blocks my pores. Considering this foundation has spf15 it doesn;t give a great tint at all. It's pretty much equal in good strong brown color to Iman cosmetics.

this is the only mac foundation I have tried, and I'm not sure I would another after this! it is recommended for drier skins, and as I am combination the formula works fine for me, although I do find it clings to dry patches. also not a fan of the smell, quite playdoughy and I hate to say it but I think it MAY break me out a little, which puts me off wearing it for long periods of time. also the colour; I got nw20 which is usually a standard match for me but it looks a little orangey around my hair line and again drier parts. the coverage is meadochre, doesn't cover my acne scarring particularly well on it's own. however I do like the squeezy packaging, easy to chuck in your bag etc and definitely one of the cheaper mac foundations! I will persevere with it but not holy grail material!

I have really awful acne and deep dark scarring on my lower face, mostly on my chin. And the past 8 months of my pregnancy its been even worse! I had tried every drugstore foundation before finally deciding to treat myself to a quality foundation (i was using colorstay for the coverage) I use Studio Sculpt with hard candys glamofluage concealer underneath and over top for extra ugly spots. I really love this stuff! My face looks bright and healthy when i wear it and a little goes a long way! My whole face is covered by a pea sized amount, i apply with a foundation brush and dust a little translucent powder over the top to increase the staying power. I might try some other foundations because thats what i do lol but i really love this stuff and for now its my HG

This is truly a fabulous foundation for dry skin that needs a fuller coverage. It's creamy feel makes it not too suitable for oily skin, as I can see how it would slide off. It doesn't cake and gives the skin a nice glow. Since I was on skin medication, this was perfect for the dryness I experienced, as well as trying to cover any blemishes. I still use it when my skins dry-normal, but alternate with Studio Fix Fluid when it's normal-oily :)

Love it, love it, LOVE IT! I have hyperpigmentation and eczema in the most inconvenient places on my face. Sales consultants usually point me to waxy, heavy, concealers and tell me to use it all over my face. I did that for years until I decided to try MAC.
The consultant matched skin perfectly and showed me how to use a stippling brush to achieve the coverage I need without it looking heavy. It blends like a dream and it's buildable. I've recently added Studio Sculpt concealer to my regimine to preserve my liquid foundation. I will review that later as the jury is still out on that.
This makeup does not dry me out, crack during the day, or sink into my pores. I love the gel consistency and it is buildable. I would recommend this to a friend.

I haven't bought this (yet) I have been using a sample I got from my local MAC store. I have the colour NW25.
Previously I have bought (and loved) MAC Face and Body, but am after a fuller coverage. I love that I can achieve a full coverage with F&B, but I generally don't have time to layer my foundation in the morning when I have places to go.
So I got this sample. And I love it. My skin is combination, and can get very very oily on my nose. Everywhere else is pretty normal. I applied this over Revlon Photoready primer and set it with Chanel looser powder and it stayed on my face very nicely. It blended well - although you do have to be quick - and the colour was a good match. It didn't wear anywhere other than my nose, and that was only because my face is oily there.
The packaging is great, allowing you to squeeze out only as much as you need, and because it's a squeezy tube there will never be any wastage. It is fairly expensive, but I have seen (and sampled) more expensive ones.
Overall, I am seriously considering purchasing this foundation - maybe not right away as I have Illamasqua Rich Liquid and of course my F&B to use up first, but almost certainly in the future. continued >>

Ahhh studio sculpt...
Negatives
1) This stayed on full on my face for maybe 2 hours max, texture was definitely not ideal for my skin. Literally could see it starting to separate on my face T.T Absolutely no staying power even if i set it with a translucent powder
2) I think this might've started breaking me out...not completely sure though
Positives
1) Nice coverage, not super full
2) NC25 was my perfect color match!
3) I love the packaging! So efficient and mess free
On to the next!

I usually love all things MAC, but this foundation just didn't work for me. First of all, the MAC artist couldn't match my skin and wound up selling me one that was too light, but that's not the product's fault. The main problem I had with this foundation is that it made my skin break out really bad, and my skin doesn't usually break out since it tends to be more dry than oily. I also noticed that it looked a bit chalky on my face - you could see that I had makeup on. When I use my normal foundation (Dior Eclat Satin) you can't tell. The product seemed to last well, but what good is that if it doesn't look good? This product might work for someone else but it wasn't the right fit for me.

I just got this foundation recently and used it for the first time going out yesterday. I really can't think of anything bad to say about it! It offers pretty good medium-full coverage for all my dark face scarring and it's also still buildable if I need more coverage. The packaging is excellent, there's minimal product waste and it's easy to get out--Unlike those glass bottles that you have to try to pour out the product. The product itself is relatively thick! It's sort of creamy but I think I would still call it a liquid. It's supposed to be gel based and feels very natural on my skin, Never feels cakey or dries to a yucky powdery finish that can just rub off if you touch your face, which is good for putting on my cream blush. The shade NC37 matched my skin pretty well and it wears pretty well combined with Smashbox primer. It stayed on for a few hours yesterday, i'm unsure how it will look at the end of a full schoolday (I put makeup on around 6 and get home around 2) but I'll find out tomorrow. I love that it contains spf and this doesn't make me oily or do anything weird to my skin. I'm still unsure if it will cause breakouts but after about a week or two I'll see if I have a reaction, i'm very acne prone and always have a few pimples but this didn't seem to agitate them at all so far. All in all with how it's going now I'm sure i'd repurchase
EDIT: I changed my mind about this foundation after a good month of using it maybe a little more...Does cause some pimples, does not set (stays tackyish all day, If I touch my face it will transfer or when I get dressed), and it's so yellow...This is probably a personal color match problem, It matches my face great once it oxidizes a little but initially applying it it makes me look almost sick. I won't repurchase this but i'll finish the tube, it seems like it'll last me a long time.

Can't believe I've never tried a MAC foundation before - and about time! Looked at reviews for this and it sounded like it had what I was looking for so down I went to my nearest MAC store and bought me a tube.
And it's awesome! I have combination skin, dry on some parts and oily on others, and this worked perfectly on me.
I'm always on the hunt for dewy foundations that give a lovely glowy finish while still keeping medium to full coverage, and this one killed two birds for sure. If you're looking for sheer coverage then this definitely isn't for you, however this doesn't look cakey at all - it has lots of moisturizing properties in it. It covers everything on my face and leaves a beautiful dewy finish. I can't comment on the staying power just yet, so may come back to edit this when I found out! But so far, very impressed!! Don't know why I didn't try MAC earlier.

In my arsenal of bases i have had this one for a few years. I generally use it for special occassions as I find ghe finish quite matte Im benerally not a fan of and also find that it is a heavier coverage than i like for everyday.
But if i know i want something that os going to give me flawless coverage its this. I normally add an illuminator either revlon skinlights, becca SSP or GA fluid sheer on my skin beforehand and sometimes a small amount to the foundation as well.
I find i fall between nc 42 & 44 so have bought both and mix them depending on the seasons and how tanned/pale my skin is.
Overall i didnt think i would like the consistency as i like fluid foundations butbthis one seems to spread and blend ok. I also think compared to other foundations it is quite good value for money as you get 40mls instead of the normal 30mls continued >>

This Foundation, in my opinion, could definitely benefit oily complexion. The shades that it is formulated into however are not compatible to their other MAC range counterparts. I'm about NC15, so I bought this in NC15. It was WAY to yellow, and far too light. I applied with a 109 and set with the prep and prime transparent finishing powder. 2 hours into the day it was greasy, so I'd powder, it never seemed to set. However, it didn't break me out, and I definitely did enjoy the coverage, to an extent. But you often squeeze out a LOT more than you need. Its one of the more expensive MAC foundations, but I think that the satin finish and full coverage translate alot better on camera, regardless of the spf15.

I had a hard time with getting the right shade and finish with the other MAC foundations. Matchmaster, couldnt get a match, Studio Fix: Broke me out/oxidized too much.
I was hesitant to try Studio Sculpt because everyone says its "only" for dry skin. I have pretty oily skin and I was afraid it would make it worse. I finally got the right color (NW 43), and I LOVE it.
It blends great, looks amazing, and doesnt break me out. I set it with ELF Setting powder (which is also amazing) and honestly it doent make me any oilier than I was with any other foundation. I love it and will definitely repurchase.

I didn't love this at first, but I think you have to find the best technique for application. I tried several different brushes, and for me the best brush was the 187 sprayed with fix+. I tried the 180, the 109, and the 130 and although others liked these for this foundation, they didn't work for me. Now that I found the best way for me to apply, I absolutely love this foundation. It gives excellent coverage and lasts all day long. I apply some prep and prime powder or some mineralize powder on top and I am great for the entire day. I was using face and body foundation and loved it, but since I purchased this foundation, I haven't touched my face and body. I am using NW20 and although it looks like it will be too dark, once it is applied and worked it, it is not at all too dark. You barely need any of this foundation. I just put a small amount on the back of my hand and the grab it with my 187 and I can do my entire face with a pea sized amount. This tube should last me a very long time. I will definitely purchase this again.

Not happy with product. I think it's partly due to the SA who was too pushy and got me the wrong color. This foundation is way to thick and cakey for me. It makes me look like I have a lot of foundation on my face and even my fingers, after just touching my face, has foundation on it! I use liquid foundation in the past and never had this problem. Won't buy it again! I loaded some pics and more info here (I can't post pic in makeup alley!) :

This is the best foundation I have ever tried. I have south asian skin and It makes it really difficult for me to find foundation that blends in with my skin. This stuff does exactly that and I love it. It is thicker than other foundation however for me, it's completely worth it. I find the studio fix to be too waxy on me and I like the extra moisture that this provides even though I have combination skin. I usually don't even need a concealer when I use this. Using a sponge with this works the best for me as opposed to a brush. I find the latter makes my face look too cakey. I have tried many other brands and many other mac foundations but I always find myself coming back to this. It doesn't make me break out even though I have combination skin and a lot of products make me break out including macs prep and prime. I actually think my skin has improved after using this. I just ran out of it today and I'll be going to a mall tomorrow to buy another one.
