Beautiful coral orange color. I read reviews that it's for daily use, not too bright.. But on me it looked little too bright, too orange and very drying, and creases in my lips. I like the color, it's beautiful, however feels too dry, my lips started to feel almost itchy just after about 10 min. I have to use lip balm underneath. And still - I wish this lipstick was more creamy.
$15 is a lot for one lipstick that does not feel perfect.
This is one of those colors I keep stocked. I carry one in my bag at all times and have one in the house. It's moisturizing and soft and great to grab anytime and it can be dressed up and worn down. It's not long lasting and I do reapply 3 times a day but I find it worth it.
Not HG, but flattering and universal enough for everyday wear. Just a tad darker than I'd like it to be for my NC25 skin.
Ravishing is my most favorite lipstick for all year. A lipstick that I've been loving for over a year, and never bothered to write about! I am a NC20-25 asian girl, with strong yellow undertones and usually, PINK lipsticks or glosses make me look very made up in a non flattering way, and learned from the MAC counter that peachy-pink or peachy makeups are the way to go to complement my yellow undertones.
I am in LOVE with ravishing and I think it's great for day or night time wear. It looks obvious enough, but it doesn't scream "Look at me I'm wearing makeup!" It just brightens up the face without you looking shiny or anything like that. If lipsticks could do miracles this would be it.
Ravishing is right for you if you have yellow undertones, and if you want to look innocent in a sexy way, and if you like lipstick that has a sheen (This is a creamy formula) ! Good for with out without makeup days.
This is one of my favorite lipsticks. I think the finish of this lipstick is great for this particular color. It is a neutral peachy, shiny color. I have a medium skin tone and I like the look of it on my lips. This would be a great pick if you are starting out with MAC lipsticks :)
Hated it... Actually bought it without trying it on and returned it the next day. I felt like I had lightly tinted Chapstick on. Wouldn't buy this ever again. I've learned that I'm not a cream sheen fan. SATIN all the way!
I really wanted retro matte in "runway hit" but three of my MAC's were out of stock on it and I was craving for a soft peachy pink lippie so I grabbed this one. Very moisturizing and though its not super opaque like satins and amplified formulas it shows up quite nicely on my pigmented lips. The wear time isn't as long....if you don't eat or drink...4 hours at best. This is my first creamsheen ever and I look forward to collecting more shades.
I've recently picked up a liking for lipsticks, and I've heard great things about Mac lipsticks. I wanted a coral shade that wouldn't be too obnoxious to wear on a daily, and after swatching I fell in love!
It's a gorgeous coral and pinky shade that has a subtle pop of color but doesn't look clowny or obnoxious. Unlike other lipsticks I have tried, this lipstick has a pleasant, subtle smell (which I love.) The formula is very smooth, hydrating and doesn't stray.
I'm planning on picking up a few more shades of these lippies, they are gorgeous ♥
I wish there was a "maybe" for the repurchase indicator.
Reasons why I LIKE this product:
Beautiful true coral color and comfortable on lips; non-drying, very creamy.
Reasons why I am "EH" about this product:
I was made to believe by the MAC counter person that cremesheen isn't as sheen as one would imagine, yet I find this to be extremely sheen. Wears more like a lipgloss than a lipstick. I am not sure how people can say this lipstick is opaque, it definitely is not. I need to use a few coats for it to even show up on my lips. I am use to wearing Satin, Matte, and Amplified finishes but decided to find something "toned-down" for my upcoming internship in the fall. I will definitely be wearing this as I find it to be extremely office appropriate.
Over all reaction:
Beautiful color, creamy, day-time appropriate, office appropriate, slightly sheen. If you are looking for a day-time lipstick I HIGHLY recommend this! However, I feel like a lot of the reviews makes it sound like this is also a night-time lipstick, not the case. I will grab my Vegas Volt or Morange when I am heading off to the bar or a concert.
One of my first forays into MAC lipstick territory, I bought this on recommendation from the sales assistant and, unusually, I'm so glad I did! I have dark red hair and NW15-20 skin with some redness, so I find it very difficult to get hold of lipsticks that suit my hair and skin combination.
I would never have chosen it myself as it looks like such a bright, orangey coral in the tube, but surprisingly it's a wonderful everyday lipstick for summer - it doesn't apply quite as neon and scary as it initially looks. The formula is very creamy and moisturising so there's no need to wear lip balm underneath. The colour is very builable - you can apply a small amount for a more subtle colour, or apply more for an in-your-face bright opaque finish. The wear time isn't anything to shout about, but I can get up to a couple hours wear from it (not counting eating/drinking) before I want to reapply, plus it leaves a bit of a stain behind so if it does wear off you still have a nice amount of colour remaining. I seem to be carrying this around with me every day as it's such an uplifting & flattering colour to wear, even for redheads like me.
I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a new summer lipstick and anyone with similar colouring looking for something a bit more exciting than a 'natural' lip.
