I could have sworn I left a review for this years ago. But I don't see it. Anyway, this stuff is my favorite. I've used it since high school when I took a trip to Puerto Rico and needed something to give my hair some moisture and protection from the saltwater and sun. I had butt length blonde colored wavy hair at the time and this was recommended by my friends sister there. It's AMAZING!!!! I have loved it ever since and it's been nearly 15 years now. I put this on my towel dried hair after the shower and it adds so much shine and keeps the moisture in my hair, leaving it frizz free and my waves defined. If I happen to need a lil touch up on dry hair, just a teensy drop works. I can't rave enough about how much I love this serum. Over the years it's the only one I've gone back to always

I've had a bottle of this forever because you only need a small amount. If you apply to much it can look greasy so a dime or nickle size is really all you need if your hair looks dry/dull.

I have elbow length, very thick, naturally curly hair, and tried this product on a whim, and I am thrilled that I did. It was under $6 at Walgreens which is a steal for a HG hair product. I used this product incorrectly the first few times, and then followed the directions to a T. The result was a beautiful straight blow-out that lasted 2 days.

Holy crap! I think I found my HG shine serum. It is dirt cheap--$4.49 for a 7 oz bottle from Target. It works better than DS and salon brands I've tried--Pateen, Garnier Fructis, John Freida, Biolage, Rusk (close), Biosilk, Fekkai. I can use 2 dime sized drops without my hair looking oily. The smell is very light and reminds me of candy.

Ingredients: cyclopentasiloxane, cyclotetrasiloxane, dimethicone, dimethiconol, aloe barbadensis leaf extract, hydrolyzed wheat protein, pantenol, silk amino acids, pheyl trimethicone, aqua, parfum, limonene, benzyl benzoate

My bottle has a little spritzer at the top and I spray just the ends of my hair and brush the product through. I love this stuff. It makes my hair really shiny, but not oily. It does not have silicone in it either so it wont build up on your hair and make it dull. Also, it was only like $1.50 so it is definitely worth the money.

When my hair was relaxed this product was awesome; however, on natural hair it only helps to detangle my hair. I get no added shine.

I love Smooth 'N Shine Polishing Hair Serum

I have very fine hair and this products works great. Just a dab works for me and it smells wonderful. The smell factor is a great bonus for me because after using Carol's Daughter, I thought my hair would never smell good again after putting a product in it.

I highly recommend it. As the reviewer above stated, it lasts a long time. It leave my hair feeling soft, looking healthy and smelling great.
I love it!

This product is very concentrated so it lasts forever since you only need a small amount. Seriously, I think I had it for almost three years. It makes my hair soft, shiny and smooth. It controls frizz and flyaways and helps prevent breakage. I mainly use it on dry hair, but sometimes I use it right before blow drying and flat ironing. The only drawback is that the opening became clogged with half a bottle left so I had to unscrew the cap and pour it into my palm.

Pros: + smells great; + easily available; +alcohol free; + makes my curls nicely defined

Cons: - can be abit too greasy.

Verdict: Overall, I think this is a great product. I find that it is very hard to find really good alcohol-free hair serums, since I could find Zero Frizz in Canada anymore. I was using Life Brand's Honey Nut serum (from Shoppers Drug Mart) and that came pretty close. However, I missed the way Zero Frizz serum defined my curls, so I purchased Smooth n' shine, since it is made from the same company as Zero Frizz. When I tried the smooth n' shine serum, my curls were so nicely defined and not frizzy. But I found that it did not impart as much shine as I wanted it to; perhaps that is b/c my hair is fine textured and this serum is thick, but it did not make my hair hard (like Hask Frizz remedy; Smooth n' shine, surprisingly was lighter in consistency). I use just abit of smooth n' shine and couple it with Life Brand Honey Nut serum, since the latter spreads more evenly and is more lightweight, yet conditioning--the results are great, and since these serums are both alcohol-free, my hair is not parched. I tried looking for Smooth n' Shine's ultra light serum polish but could not find it locally. Maybe that would work better, since it is also claims to be conditioning, but the consistency is lighter. I give Smooth n' shine 5 lippies because it works almost just as well as Zero Frizz, is affordable, alcohol-free, smells great, is conditioning. My only gripe is that i cannot use as much like with Life Brand Honey nut serum because my hair will look matted. Otherwise, great product.I do, however, prefer to use Life Brand Honey Nut serum b/c it is lighter, imparts more shine and adds more softness w/out weighing down my hair. Not sure if I will purchase Smooth n'shine...UPDATE: I will not repurchase this serum, as I found Fantasia's Frizz Buster much better.
