Been using this, and UV perfect Loreal SPF 30+ and Ultraceutical Protective Daily Moisturiser SPF 30+.
I don't like the fact that ESP leave a white cast feels thick and oily especial on hot whether. But out of the three product I tried. ESP doesn't irritate my super oily skin. and seems to protect me very well.
Update: It really does protect very well ! My skin has calm down a lot since I switched back to it and seems to be lighter in colour after I washed off my face at night.
Australian sunscreen is really one of the best you could find interm of protection. A lot of other sunscreen from USA has to be downgrade to SPF 15 from SPF 30 in order to be able to sell here in Australia.

It should be called Visible Zinc because it is not invisible. It leaves a nasty white film on your face which looks strange even under makeup.
I'm a huge believer in using sunscreen everyday and I liked the idea of applying zinc to my face but this product was really disappointing. It is way too thick and tacky.
I would recommend Olay SPF 30 sunscreen and ASAP moisturiser containing sunscreen because these are great under makeup and let your skin breathe. Plus they dry quickly and act as a primer/makeup base.

Am using my 2nd bottle. Am residing in France and there is no way I will put any other sunscreen on my face because no one makes sunscreen better than Australia. Makes for a lovely primer under my foundation (CD Capture Totale, for the moment). No breakouts, no greasiness, just perfect for me because my skin is combo to dry. However, I've been told by beauty reps to wait 5 minutes for sunscreen to sink into the skin before applying your foundation, she said this was important to remember.
Also, I like the packaging since the pump dispenses all of the lotion and there isn't wastage. Will be buying a truckload when I head back to Australia. Oh, and by the way, there isn't an unpleasant scent which usually is present in most sunscreens. This particular product in the Invisible Zinc range is pretty much scentless...another big plus.

I liked how there is high zinc oxide content in this sunscreen, but unfortunately, it left a white cast on my olive complexion.
It worked well under my foundation, and didn't make my skin oiler during the day. I also liked the packaging.
I won't be repurchasing as I am moving more towards completely natural, organic skincare and this doesn't fit the bill. I think its also breaking me out as well along the jaw as you really need to have a good cleanser to remove this from your skin.

I have extremely fair skin wiith lots of moles and live in Australia. For years I tried hard to wear sunscreen but hated the stuff. I kinda got used to using Clinique City Block until Invisible Zinc came on the market a few years ago. This is truly the best sunscreen for me. it works!! I'm out in the sun some days with only this applied and I don't get burnt... and boy do I usually burn! I must say though the smell could be better and it is a little sticky when first applied but I don't feel it the rest of the day and my skin feels soft. I do use a light foundation on the top and both combined give a lovely fresh dewey look. I think though by using this over the years my freckles have cleared completely and I have a really fresh complexion at 40.

If you are looking for physical sunscreen this is doubtless one of the best available. It contains 20% micronized zinc oxide and can offer this way the best broadband protection not only from UVB and short UVA but also from long UVA waves. Best of all is that zinc, in micronized form, is not absorbed by the skin like most of the chemical sunscreens but builds an invisible shield against the UV-rays remaining long lasting and photo-stable on your skin, unless you wipe it off. The texture is light and creamy, almost like fluffy whipped cream“, I would say. It can be easily spread on the skin and doesn’t leave any white cast at all, but only a little shine. The good thing is that it works almost like a makeup base: the makeup adhesion is much better as it makes my usually not so good lasting foundation like EL Double Wear Powder Makeup lasts actually very long. The downside is that the high amount of zinc oxide makes it a little drying, what is good for my t-zone, but not for my eye contour so I have to apply generous amounts of moisturizer beneath. Also the zinc oxide can on the one side provoke some itching the first days of use, other side it is also antibacterial and for this reason very good for acne-prone skin. Also I always have the feeling of being „coated“ by something when using this and for this reason I skipped the liquid foundations and rediscovered the benefits of powder makeup with beautiful results.
The only thing I really don’t like is that Australian companies don’t list the ingredients on the product so you don’t really know what is in it.

I cannot recommend this for the face unfortunately. I stuck with this for approximately two and a half weeks after which I cannot stand it anymore and had to buy my old trusty Shiseido Ultimate Sun Protection Lotion. ESP stings my face sometimes upon application, accentuates and clings onto flakes no matter how much I moisturize, leaves white residue on the sides of my face no matter how I blend it in, and worst of all: CONSISTENTLY makes me itchy, and gives me irritation and rashes when I put it on. My facial skin has become markedly more sensitive after I used this. I now use it on my neck and hands because this just won't do for the face. Will not repurchase.

On to my 2nd lot of this stuff and love it! It doesnt make my skin greasy or oily plus zinc is the most effective way to block out the sun, so im getting the highest protection. It is a bit thicker than other sunscreens/moisturizers but ive never ever broke out from it (which i normally do with sunscreen).
Sticking with this stuff for a looooooooong time!

So I just finished this yesterday (after pulling it apart this morning thinking it would have some left in the bottom - it didn't at all because of the strange layers in the packaging) after using it daily for a few months. It's great! Doesn't make me oily or give me breakouts. Doesn't sting or leave a white cast. Doesn't have a sticky film or smell funny. Sinks into my skin really well & a small pump (probably about half a pump) covers my face. The packaging is great; as I said before, I pulled it apart to get to the contents inside but the packaging is in a layer design which somehow along with the pump means you use all the contents. I think it's cheap (about AU$30) for the quality & quantity. One thing I would recommend the company do is to list the antioxidants & their percentages on the packaging & website as I could not seem to find this information anywhere (someone enlighten me if you do know). I am guessing it contains Vit E & C but I have not noticed a difference in my skin due to these (eg. lightening of acne marks) so I suggest not buying it for the sole purpose of it containing antioxidants. But other than that, great product & if you're um-ing & ah-ing about purchasing it, just do it! continued >>

I bought the Environmental Skin Protector as a less thick and heavy alternative to IZ's Tinted Daywear SPF30+ and the regular face and body sunscreen. It definitely is less thick and heavy and overall this is a far better, lighter alternative to the IZ Tinted Daywear. The pump dispenser is a good idea, but it's too bulky to carry around. I like that this is a mineral sunscreen with added anti-oxidants.
This works better for me in winter when it doesn't melt or feel so sticky on my face. In warmer weather, this just doesn't stand up to the heat or to moderate physical activity as it's melted on my face by the time I walk to work each morning - winter or summer but more so in summer (even though I powder over it). Also, this feels like sunscreen as it's sticky and tacky to touch once applied. It also applies strangely - it doesn't absorb into the skin properly. I find I have to rub it around my face and then just let it dry with the white lotion still visible on parts of my face; but once the lotion dries after a couple of minutes, then it's easier to rub the rest of the cream in. Due to the high zinc oxide content (originally 22% but now 20%), it also leaves a slight white cast to my face. It's otherwise a good quality, natural sunscreen; has great protection; is decent value for money; and because it's a physical sunscreen, it doesn't block my pores the way avobenzone/butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane does.
Update 15.08.11: I've been trying to make this sunscreen work, especially since I developed melasma and I need a sunscreen with a high zinc oxide content. However, I've decided to stop using as this is just too thick, white and sticky to feel comfortable. This sunscreen reminds me why I hate wearing sunscreen and I dread putting this on every morning. Even though it's far lighter than the other IZ creams and in fact many other high zinc oxide sunscreens, it still feels like a second layer on my skin, and I'm finding that whether the weather be warm or cold, it's not a pleasant feeling having this on my face. But particularly once the weather becomes warm, this becomes a hot, sticky mess on my face, making me feel dirty and just wanting to wash it all off.

Loving this. No irritation, no white cast, protection seems pretty good so far for day to day.
