    I agree with the others- there's only the faintest hint of gold in this, and it seems almost accidental. :) Certainly doesn't show up on the lids at all. On the other hand, this makes a great wet...

    This was a really disappointing shade. The name Black Gold is very misleading as the eyeshadow itself has very little gold in it at all. When applied it looks plan black like Carbon eyeshadow.

    Yes, I must agree with the other reviewers that you can't really see the gold specks when this is applied. However, it does a good job as a black shadow/liner and lasts forever without creasing!

    I like MAC eyeshadows, but I'm only giving this one a three because the gold sparkles do not show up at all on me! It just looks like plain matte black.
