I really like Sugarwitch, and I dont even like sweet fragrances. As is the case with all CW, there is an earthy element that makes this work for me. And on top of Black Amber, yum! Would I buy it again? No, but I would certainly not turn it down as a gift!

When I first got my sample of Sugarwitch, it had a delicous, realistic lemon butter cookie scent to it. The only problem was that it seriously only lasted about five minutes on my skin before I couldn't smell it at all anymore. After having my sample vial for about six months, the scent has changed a lot. It's stronger now (lasts about one hour on me, but still doesn't have much throw), and unfortunately the scent has changed into something I don't care for. The list of notes mentions a "woodsy bottom," which smells a lot like tobacco on me. It's like a bitter, gritty, slightly metallic smelling tobacco note mixed with sugar cookies, which is actually kinda gross smelling on me. It's like a sugar cookie smushed into an ash tray...

I've been pretty disappointed with Carnival Wax in any case. I ordered a ton of samples and 2 full size bottles from them and the samples were all around half full and the bottles don't look so good in person. They're regular glass roller bottles with taped up labels on them, and the tape is peeling off of mine. They definitely don't look as good as they do on the site. They're very expensive and the quality is the same as you would get from other perfume oil etailers like Arcana or Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab. Customer service also never responded to my questions about the sample fill levels, though they had emailed me just fine before I had a complaint.

I placed a large order with them, but I wouldn't do so again.

I got this as a sample from the perfumed court, and I wasn't sure what to expect, but the from the review I expected very sweet, but eccentric (due to the name!). I loved it in the sample, but when I bought the full sized, for some reason it was overwhelmingly vanilla and sweet and I don't like it as much..maybe the sample was diluted and the regular size wasn't, but you need to be aware to go really lightly with this stuff, or you will overwhelm people around you.

I really, really like this. It IS very very sweet so definitely you must like sweet fragrances if you are going to enjoy this one. This is a very simple fragrance. It starts with a hint of (subtle) citrus over a sugary sweet base, like white sugar with a hint of musk. Somehow this reminds me of froot loops but without the fruit. If that makes any sense.
