This brush picks up and deposit the right amount of colour on my lid. It's soft, yet the brush is firm. The colour applies so easily and the intensity is good.

Update: am taking one lippie off because the bristles seemed to have flattened after a wash and didn't perform as well when I first bought it.

This is a 100% Pure Sable Natural brush. It has flat bristles with a tapered, oval tip, and it measures approximately 6 1/2 "/16.51cm. It costs about $27.

This brush, as the name implies, is a nice, basic eye color brush, good for applying a base color, but also small enough that you can use it for somewhat more detailed work, such as in the crease, or just on the lid (but not the crease), or just the brow-bone. This is one of the most frequently reached-for brushes in my collection, since it's very versatile, well-made, soft, and easy to use.
All the Laura Mercier brushes are excellent, in my opinion. They have wood handles and metal ferrules, and they all say the name of the brush and "Laura Mercier" on the handle.
I'm surprised to be the first one to review this brush, but I suspect it's because it's such a brush "basic".
