I love it.Very smooth and very pretty.
The only downside is that it smudges. At the end of the day, I always get a bit on my lower lid. However, in terms of MAC pencil liners, it probably smudges the least.

Love this liner. It's my favorite black liner...it's great for a thin line, it's great for a thick line, and it's great for smudging. Plus, it's got a little shimmer. What's not to love?

Beautiful eyeliner. I almost always stick to brown, indigo or dark violet liner because black is too harsh on me. Black Russian is a muted black with navy/silver sheen and soft enough to look good on me. It really highlights my green eyes, too. This is perfect for a smoky eye but goes on clean enough to look sharp too. They are still available on Ebay and I plan on buying a backup for sure.

Loving my new Black Russian Pearlglide. Its a black color with a silvery blue glittery sheen to it! Perfect color withouth being too harsh black! This will be my new favorite for awhile! Only 1 complaint I have is since this is Limited Edition and no longer available to buy through MAC I ordered a brand new one off ebay - and the formula does not seem as smooth and creamy as the most recent Pearlglide I bought from MAC...

I had extremely high expectations for this product based on reviews. I mainly purchased this to use on my waterline but it couldn't hold for me.
It smudged and the sparkles were all over my eye area.
The colour is more of a grey/dark blue with sparkles.
Now I'm back to searching for that HG waterline liner.

I absolutely LOVE this eyeliner. It's very easy to apply, glides right on! it has this subtle glitter which i find helps brighten up my eye a lot. Overall, LOVE IT. my favorite mac pencil!

Definitely one of my favorite impulse buys from MAC. The Black Russian is a nice little kohl with an enticing name that only further prompted me to purchase it due to my ethnic identity. It is a cool black with slate colored glitter that makes for some beautiful, quick and haphazard smoky eyes when you let it settle into your lashline. Many a times I have just used this liner and nothing else. It's that good.

HG eyeliner! Dramatic, yet not as harsh as a pure black eyeliner. Best described as "gunmetal." Slight shimmer, not glittery or flashy at all. Lasts even through humid/hot/18-hr days!

I overlooked this eyeliner when it first appeared thinking it was too dark for me, but after trying and liking every other Pearlglide in the original collection except for one I decided to pick one of these up to try it. It quickly became my favorite, the most used color in the bunch. It's blue sparkles keep it from being too inky for me and the slightly smudged liner look suits me perfectly. It's also nice to be able to position the color exactly as I want it before it sets on my eyelid.

Love it. It's the ONLY liner to stay on my waterline for 12 straight hours! The glitters aren't unbearable, and the color payoff is excellent. Great consistency, wonderful color.

This a good liner. It's deep black with subtle shimmer, applies smoothly without tugging, and lasts through the day. I love it as an alternative to boring black (but essential!) liner.

LOVE LOVE LOVE it! this eye liner is absolutely incredible. it's buttery smooth...and for anyone who loves black eyeliners, this is a must have! black is the only color i'll ever wear...and this one (with the little glitters) makes it quite unique. i can easily wear this alone with a bit of mascara in the mornings...or i can pair it with some eyeshadow to create an absolutely fantastic smokey eye. glad i stocked up on this when it was around =D

It applies easily (as pearl glides should) and is a nice black with glitter. The problem is the glitter. While the eyeliner does a good job staying put (this is oregon, it rains and it stayed put) and keeping its intensity, the removal was annoying because the glitter got EVERYWHERE. I've tried 4 different eye makeup removers so I'm pretty sure it's not that...it's just the price you pay to have glitter in your eyeliner!
I found mine at a CCO so the price wasn't bad but I felt like I could get something cheaper. The consistency reminds me of ULTA automatic eyeliners, Sephora Metallic Waterproof eyeliners (new formulation), or Urban Decay 24/7 liners.

Smooth application and good, dark, black color. The color has tiny micro glitter in silver that are not noticcable unless really close. The color doesn't smudge as easily as smoulder but lasts longer. I fouund that it didn't even budge when I splashed water on to begin washing it off. Light rubbing (when wet) still left some on. I was suprised - but wouldn't buy it again - because of the glitter. Overall, I like the formula and would try the pearlglide in a diff. Color

Greatest pencil eyeliner. I love this on the waterline the most because if gives a nice dark look, but also gives a bit of a sparkle to amp up a look a bit. It is also great as an smudged eyeliner for a smokey eye look. It's really creamy and those glitter doesn't budge, which is great and won't irritate any eye.

Love this e/l! Wish I had bought more! I bought it solely based on the hearsay on this forum, didn't use it for about 3 mo. then fell in love with it one day. I layer this, smudged over my lids and relined, then layer the L'Oreal HiP kohl in Navy over and it makes for such a pretty glowy navy/black smokey eye. I should have purchased 4 of these and not the Feline that's sitting in my drawer. Would most certainly repurchase.

I love this eyeliner - it's not the most long wearing, but i don't think it claim to be and still holds up pretty well compared to other apparently 'waterproof' eyeliners i have used in the past. Considering most eyeliners never want to stay on my greasy eyelids, this doesn't do too badly at all in terms of lasting power.

It's a very smudgey black (great for glam dark smokey eyes) with lots of bluey silver glitter. It's more a night time eyeliner probably as it's quite sparkly and dramatic. I think it's really unique and looks lovely on if you like that kind of look. I don't think it looks too teenagery either, you just need to get the rest of your look right so it doesn't look too much.

I wanted to try this liner because of all the positive reviews. It glides on very easily and is very sparkly. Probably good for going out at night. However, it is very difficult to get off and i noticed even after cleansing and eye makeup remover, i still had glitter on my face. Probably won't be again since I'm not an 11 year old girl, lol.

Black Russian gives a nice sparkly color and is really smooth to apply.
However as my eyelids are oily, the color fades within 2 hrs and u will have to constantly reapply it. Also it smudges easily, so unless u are using it for blending, it does not make a good solid eyeliner.

Love this! The color is just too pretty and I love that it looks "inky" when I apply it. Very smooth and minimal tugging. I just wish it lasted as long as the fluidlines do, but this hold up better than expected even without primer. Wish I found this sooner...I hope MAC brings back the other originally released colors too.
