HG! I have a few other of the matte2's and found most of them to be chalky, but this one is very nicely pigmented and soft! This is how I wear this dark beauty
First , prime my eyes with any primer ( i usually use the too faced shadow insurance or udpp)
Fix + a mac 239 and put macs naked pigment on the first 2 thirds of my lid.
Take prussian on the 239 and apply it lightly to my outer third, then build it up a bit more in my outer V.
Take my mac 226 tapered crease brush, and lightly apply this to my crease, smoking it up slightly.
Smudge blacktrack fluidline downwards on my top lashline, for the illusion of thicker lashes.
any black liner to tightline, then apply mascara, highlight browbone and inner corner with naked pigment.
AND ta -da my go to look :) love this

Very pretty color. It's a dark navy with a butter texture. I really like using this along with MAC Scene e/s and MAC Graphology e/s for a pretty smoky eye.

Prussian is a navy blue matte2. I applies smooth and blends easily. The same beautiful color in the pan is what you get on the lid. Because it's matte it makes a great crease color.

Lovely dark blue color, however it's not massively pigmented and it needs a lot of packing on, plus it's a bit of a pain to try and blend. I think a nice basic dark blue (not quite navy) such as this one should be part of any collection - very classy and elegant, and a great alternative to the typical matte black smoky eye, but the consistency is a tad hard to work with. As much as I love the color, I'm not sure wether l'd repurchase.

I bought this to add to my 18-color palette.... gee I love going to the MAC store when I've got to refill! Anyway, I loooove doing a navy smoky eye with this stuff. It is so pigmented, blends well, and does a PERFECT navy smoky eye.

Prussian is a deep, rich matte navy blue and is great for your outer corners. So blendable and smooth, and extremely pigmented. An excellent staple for a blue palette, and very versatile.

I love doing a smokey blue eye sometimes and i needed a navy blue to smoke out my outer V, well when i went to MAC, i orginally intended to buy Deep truth but when i swatched it, the colour pay off was awful..next to it was Prusian, i swatched it and couldnt beleive the intensity of the colour, i instantly brought it and use it regulary. Love the formula, would buy it again any day.

I love the color pay off with this rich navy blue. I saw it out of the corner of my eye and thought it would make a great pair with Honey Lust ( my opinion) so I bought it last second and couldn't be happier. Def. will be buying again!

I'm really addicted to the matte2 line. In the pan, Prussian looks like a grayed dark blue color. When I out in on with UDPP, it shows up as a deep navy color.

Just picked this up at the MAC store and I love it. It's a matte navy blue. On my skin tone, it shows as a true blue color...it can't be mistaken for a gray as some blues tend to look on me. The SA also used Haux and Embark to give me a smokey look. The addition of Embark really made Prussian stand out. I may have to buy another one soon since I was told that Prussian would be discontinued soon.

I love this color!! I'm blond and fair skinned so I don't use much as it is bright when applied, but it brings out the color of my eyes like nobody's business!! My eyes are green but look blue and bright when I use this shade.

I can't say enough about this shadow - it's really great for a smokey eye to add a punch of blue. First, the formula - I am a huge MAC Matte2 fan - they are so soft and pigmented and blend very well (I have Handwritten, Blanc Type, Typographic, Copperplate, Fig 1). Secondly, the shade - - it's a navy blue with hints of green (which I love, as opposed to hints of purple). It's not so dark that you could only use it on the lashline (like Laura Mercier's Dark Night), but you can also use it as a crease shade or even a lid shade. A few ideas that I like : wear Prussian on the lashline and outer corners using a taupe on the lid; wear Prussian in the crease with a silver on the lid and a dark grey/black on the lashline. Great addition to my collection!

I love this color, but I don't find that I use it much! I find that it blends great though, and is a really good crease color. Definitely very pigmented, I just don't use it much. But it's definitely a beautiful deep navy blue.

First of all... I Love matte2 eyeshadows! The pigmentation and color payoff is excellent. They are finely milled and very easy to blend. I currently have Graphology, Nehru and Prussian with back ups for each. I wear Graphology and Nehru the most because they're dark and Neutral but if you want a beautiful Rich Navy Blue, Prussian is a must-have in your makeup collection.
One of my favorite Dramatic Blue Smokey Eye looks is to use Dazzlelight as an all-over eyelid wash and up to your arch as a brow highlight. Then take any frosty blue (I use Urban Decay Mary Jane or Strip) dust all over the lid and crease. Take Prussian and pat onto your lid. Then apply Nehru along your lash line and blend upwards into Prussian, making the look as dark and dramatic as you like. Apply your favorite black eyeliner, which I always set by patting a bit of Carbon on top of the liner. Carbon also helps to fill in the lash line nicely. Take a MAC 219 brush or similar with a little Nehru or Carbon and darken up that outer V. Grab your fluffy blending brush and blend out any harsh lines, apply mascara or falsies and your Smoldering Deep Blackened Navy look is complete! Fast and easy!

This is a really pretty dark navy ish blue but not so dark like nehru, you can definately tell its blue when you put it on the lid. great for making brown eyes pop. high colour payoff. I wouldnt buy again just because its not really an everyday colour and its a strong blue which is hard to pull off if you have to go to work/uni every day and its a bit too subtle for a night time look. Nevertheless, very pretty eyeshadow and great quality

Like Genica mentioned, this colour is great for porcelain complexions and works fabsulously as a liner and a crease colour. I'm surprised it hasn't had more reviews! To be honest, I overlooked it on the MAC Australia site, it looks like a powder blue. I was actually after a colour similar to Revlon's Riviera Blue from the Matte collection, which is what I told the SA on counter. She swatched a few on my hand, and although this wasn't exactly the colour I was after, I liked it more than the others. It is definitely a true Prussian blue. If you're looking to do a blue smokey eye, or make your blue eye's stand out, this is a great shadow.

This is a beautiful matte dark navy blue. Pigmented, long-lasting, blends easily. What more could one ask for? Makes a great crease color/liner for my ppp complection. More interesting than, say, brown or black, but subdued enough for conservative environments. Surprisingly versatile!

I love the formula, but the color is a bit off to me for some reason. A MUA talked me into getting this color like 6 months ago. In all that time, I've used it maybe twice. I had no idea how to use it. I found out that it looks nice paired with Steamy, Silver Ring, a light wash of Humid, Gorgeous Gold... and many more. Play around with it. I wouldn't buy it again because I can't see myself hitting pan on this for a LONG time.

Can't believe nobody reviewed this before!!
I love MAC Prussian, I love matte2, they are great. They blend like a dream!! I use this in my crease with the 224 and I could blend it without using a mirror. The e/s has such a nice texture for applying in your crease, it's unbelievable! I'm not going to describe the color, there is Google and Youtube for but the color is a nice kind of blue that would look flattering on most people.
