I brought the 3-step kit at Ulta out of desperation. I told the girl who helped me out, I liked my cleanser (Aveno clarifying face wash). So she said use it then just stick with the toner and moisturizer. So I did. At first when I used it my skin got red and my acne was inflamed which is normal cause the product is doing its job. After a week I noticed a huge difference and now my skin is looking better and better. I skipped the moisturizer, my face felt icky after time passed but I am going to need it when it is summer to protect my skin and in the winter from the cold and dry heat.

I have been using this toner for years, and every time i try to change it i go right back to it! i have to say that this is the only toner that keeps my skin clear from blemises. I have combination skin and keeps my oils in check.
I use it sometimes to get my makeup residue off after cleansing and amazingly it takes every bit off.
Love it.

I am a huge make up alley user, love to go by it for reviews and think in my time I have definitely tried a few different skin care regime's.

I picked this one up on a desperate whim when I couldnt wait for my iherb sample to come in the mail. Unfortunately I took it on holiday with me for a week. The damage it has done to my skin seems almost unfixable at the moment. Within a few days I got 4-5 pimples. The most I have had in many years ( I've had a fantastic complexion thanks to Nubian Heritage palm ash soap bsaically) and I usually am a bit more careful with product selection. There is so much alcohol in this you feel it burn/sting for a moment upon applying and it dried my skin to the point I started to break out, and I still am.

Not entirely sure how I will fix other than sticking strictly to my routine from before.


Terrible Product.

This is a good toner for clearing up acnes, blackheads and white heads. It makes my T zone smooth and clear. At first i was really happy and thought i have found the perfect toner for my skin. Unfortunately, after a few months, my skin became dry, itchy and irritated especially my cheeks. I then realise the alcohol contained of this toner is too high and strong which cause the dryness. I think this toner is suitable only for those who has problem skin. If your skin has recover, i suggest you switch to other toner which are alcohol free.

I just started using this product a week ago but so far I really like it. I am using it with the 3 step system to get rid of blackheads. It sounds gross but my blackheads seem closer to the surface of my skin now which leads me to believe it is working. I have had a few pimples which is to be expected as it is drawing all the yuck out of my skin. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed and not too dry. So far I like it alot will update if things change since I am new to Clinique skin care.
Edit: This is not living up to my expectations and I plan to return it.

I used to work for Clinique, and have been using this product ever since. This is the only Clinique product I use really. I've always liked the toners, but nothing else. No matter what type of cleanser I use, I follow with this and it always makes my skin brighter, more even, and just feeling really clean. I had terrible skin up until about my early 30s, and now at 36, thankfully it has calmed down. Its kind of drying, but I always use my Steam Cream moisturizer after and it balances it out. I recently found a bottle that has the pump nozzle and love it so much. Now I can just buy the regular bottles and pour it in.

It made my oily skin dry miserably and full of blemish.

I have combination skin (an oily T-zone and dryness mostly around the eye and chin area). My skin is also super sensitive and acne-prone. This product does not over dry my skin and keeps my acne under control which I love. It also tightens my pores. I advise using this once a day, preferably at night before you sleep. A little goes a long way with this product so just pour a little onto a cotton ball or two and gently pad it across your face and try not to use it around the eye area.

I switched to the whole set of Clinique 3 step skin care regime due to good very good promotion from SA.... this is the first time I use toner with alcohol & its quite strong... it manages to keep the pimples at bay (my skin is oily/combination)...

after 2 weeks of usage, I've noticed that the pores especially around the cheek area & forehead has enlarged & it is still obvious from few metres away!!!!! I gave it away the whole set to my friend and changed to another product with non-alcohol contained toner & it takes a few months to recover... continued >>

This is a product from Clinique that I actually really like. I use this after using makeup remover wipes to get the last bits of anything gross off my face. It's amazing what can still be left on your face even when you feel it's clean! The bottle recommends using it twice a day but I only use it once. I've found it can cause a slight burning sensation at times but it's manageable, and I've never found this formula to be drying or to agitate my skin otherwise. My skin's condition has actually improved since I've been using this.
