It appears that I may be the only person to have ever purchased this 2008 palette that wasn't thrilled with it. Perhaps the 2009 palette with the same name was more impressive. The shadows are all lovely shades, but with the exception of espresso, the pigmentation was practically non-existent for me (NC20/NC25). Each of these is dense, hard and did not blend nicely even after trying a couple of different primers. Could I possibly have gotten a dud? Not to sound discouraging, but if you happen to come across this palette at a CCO, swatch the shadows, if possible before purchasing. The double-ended brush that came with this is quite nice, though.

OMG they do not make palettes like they used to. I bought this from a hot-mama-sale (where a hot mama has a sale, not that there were hot mamas for sale), and wow. I like this better than UD's Naked palette on me, at least for the winter. Really easy to pack on and blend out. I love the last four shades on the palette. Was unsure but glad I bought. Highly rec it on curious NC 40-ish ladies.

I use this palette EVERYDAY! Perfect colors for all skin types to achieve a look anywhere from 'natural', to 'nighttime'. I keep this in my purse to turn my daytime look into a going-out look after work. I prefer to use my MAC 275 (primarily) and my MAC 316 (for definition) instead of the brush it came with.

I use this palette almost every day. It includes perfectly shimmery shades of nude and a rich dark espresso colour. Packaging includes a double sided brush (fluffy side and liner side) and mirror. Looks great!

If there's one luxury item I'd take to a desert island, it would be this palette. The colours are so beautiful, they make my eyes look really wide-awake and soft at the same time. I use Nude Beach as a highlighter, with Mica in the crease and Espresso as an eyeliner, whilst the others take turns being on my lids (Nude Spice and Nude Mist are my favourite lid colours). I like the softer, fluffier end of the double ended brush best; the other end seems less flexible and almost 'plastic' to me. The long and narrow compact means it doesn't take up much space in my make up bag - another bonus :) This palette is so versatile, and suits all complexions, occasions, etc. I would definitely buy this again.

This palette is just lovely. Its the kind of palette I may not use for awhile(but who can understand why!) and then when I return to it I am constantly surprised at how lovely it looks. Great selection of nude colours and the variety means you are able to use it in so many different ways. I do find the 1st and 4th colours are very, very similar though the 4th shade is one of my favourites and the first one I have hit pan on. The shades are easily blendable and the brush is really great. The shadow side picks up colour and transfers easily onto the eye and I love using the liner side with the darkest shade along the lashline. Simply lovely. Read on for a picture of the colours.

This is my favorite palette. I love the shades and often pick this palette up for multiple shadows more than anything else.

I just received this in the mail and I am in love! What a beautiful set of versatile colors. This is a great palette that I see myself using everyday for work. There's a variance of shimmering colors, including two highlighter shades, mid-tone shades and even two matte shades. I noticed Bobbi Brown has improved the brushes that come in their palettes and this one is actually usable. I used this for a dramatic smoky eye tonight and can't wait to try it for a more natural day look tomorrow. Worth getting for sure!

This is an outstanding palette! I use it every day (and I mean EVERY day) and I still have plenty of shadow left after a year and a half.
It's not cheap, around 60 euro's and it killed me to pay for it at the time but I'm so glad I bought it now. You can buy cheap stuff but it doesn't have half the pigment or staying power of this palette. Wise buy!

Im happy that I was recently able to swap for this. Its become my go to palette for neutral crease and highlight colors. This is perfect for someone who is really into neutrals with a little shimmer. Great for a daytime look and can be packed on or additional bright/dark colors added for nighttime look. A few of the colors look similar to each other but are actually subtly different- nothing daring because this is after all a "nude" palette. I find this palette very useful but wish it had a different or additional lid/lining color- maybe a dark steely/gunmetal gray instead of the espresso which is not at all "shimmering". Overall I am pretty happy with it and would repurchase IF it werent l.e. and if I actually used it all up:)

I've been on a neutrals kick lately, and all I've been using is this palette. As well as being the only palette I've seen thus far that included a brush that worked, the colors and finishes are really lovely. The shimmer isn't overdone, but subtle and classy; exactly what you'd expect from a Bobbi Brown product. A nice smokey brown eye look with this palette paired with sheer pink lips and cheeks-I can't think of anything prettier for winter.

This is the BB eye palette I keep at home, I only carry the basic eye palette in my mu bag. I tried most of the shades, they all work very nicely on my monolid Asian eyes. The lighter shades work very good to brighten my eyes, and the darker ones help to contour the eyes. It is a little pricy, but for those gals live in the Los Angeles area, there is an Estee Lauder (you know EL owns BB right?!) company discount store inside the Off Fifth at the Ontario Mills. I got this palette almost 1/2 the retail price. Oh BTW, they sell MAC, Clinique, Estee Lauder, and Origin products there, they're all owned by EL. If you're close enough, you should check it out at the Mills. Oh, a Lancome outlet is just a few stores down too... ;)

BB eye shadow is always my HG. The texture, the pigment, the color... perfect for everyday use while not being too much. I've been using this palette for almost a year, and it goes perfectly with MAC pearlglide eyeliner...

I finally got this at CCO a few months ago (and they still have it, and now they also the nude lip and eye palette, which i want too) and I just love it. I'm just surprised BB has ALREADY come out with another nude eye palette. It's crazy. These are my favorite eyeshadows, next to my one single BB eyeshadow, called 'sand' something. I pretty much wear a combination of these shadows every day. The few matte shades are kind of blah, but the espresso is good for liner. I use the eyeshadows with UDPP all the time so I wouldn't know their normal lasting power. These shades are just so sophisticated and wearable and just make me polished. I would buy it again if I ever run out. Or you know, another BB nude palette.

this is the only BB product i own and i love it! All the colors are gorgeous, versatile, and day time safe. The only small complaint i have is that the powder gets everywhere in the palette, im not sure what the word for that is though. If you can get your hands on this LE palette, get it!

I got this palette in August when it first came out, and fell in love. I started using it everyday - for work and play. The shades are shimmery, but not overly so. I work in a very conservative environment, and I have no problem wearing this palette. The shimmer is subtle and refined, but if you want to play it up fior a night out you can definitely layer for a more dramatic effect.
The colors are not highly pigmented, but do show up on my lids. I prefer it that way; I am not a fan of bold color. If you like bold color, you are obviously not going to like this palette. If, however, you enjoy warm to neutral nudes but want something a little outside the box, then this palette is for you.
I actually dropped this palette on the floor by accident one day, and the shadows crumbled. I thought I could live without it, but I ended up buying another one on ebay a couple of months later because I missed it so much.

This palette was a bit of a splurge for me. I love BB, and I really wanted an excellent nude palette that I could use for lecturing every day. I ended up regretting the amount of shimmer in this palette--I really hadn't considered the shimmer factor when ordering this, because I have never exactly been a shimmer-phobe. I probably just should have thought this through more carefully. I still use this regularly; I would not call it unusable for professional dress. I have never been especially conservative, though, and sometimes I find myself feeling compelled to blot this stuff down quite a bit with loose powder and a blending brush. Most of the shades really have enough shimmer in them to make one feel silly--well, at least me. It also might be because of my PPP skin. I'm sure that anyone who likes a lot of shimmer with their nudes would LOVE this.

Very nude palette. Perhaps too nude for some. I'm NC30/C3 and the colors barely show up on me. However, that said, it's a great "professional" palette, as in an e/s for the "professional or corporate woman," one who needs to look polished at work but not noticeably made up.
My only complaint is that the variation between colors is super subtle, and can make all the colors appear to look the same.
This was LE and originally retailed for $55 US, and I believe it went on sale for $37.50 at one time. Great palette, in tune with Bobbi Brown's neutral approach to makeup.

LE Fall 2008 collection

Nude Beach (Metallic) - shimmery warm-toned beige with faint peachy undertone
Nude Mist (Shimmer Wash) - neutral shimmery taupe
Naked (matte) - satin peachy beige
Nude Glow (Metallic) - shimmery/metallic sandy beige, like Nude Beach but neutral-toned
Mica (Shimmer Wash) - shimmery, neutral taupe-y brown with a hint of muted gold shimmer, a shade deeper than Nude Mist
Nude Spice (Metallic) - shimmer/metallic warm putty brown shade, like Nude Mist with coppery undertones added
Espresso (matte) - matte, deep coffee brown

Product - Another boring-to-look-at-but-gorgeous-to-wear e/s palette from BB. Overall, the shades in this palette are neutral to warm toned, with shades ranging from beige to putty brown, plus Espresso for lining. Nude Beach is a great browbone highlighter for me (AAB/NC25). Naked is about as peachy an eyeshadow as I can manage to pull off; any peachier and I would look, well, too peachy. Espresso is an excellent liner – it’s not too dark or harsh; it works well applied wet for more definition or drama. It's disappointing to many MUAers that BB puts this in all her palettes, but I rather like the inclusion of it (at least in this palette anyway) as it pairs well with the eyeshadows and works well for my coloring in general. Pretty much any combination (with Espresso as liner) works well for me.

Comparisons - Slightly warmer toned overall than the BB Stonewashed Nudes palette. So much nicer than BB's "basic" eye palettes, which feature only matte shades (like chalky ol' Bone!); the mix of finishes in this palette make it far more versatile. Overall, strikingly similar to the NARS Best #9944 eyeshadow palette, except: (1) NARS Best only has 6 shades total, (2) NARS Bali is not as deep a shade as BB Espresso, and (3) NARS Best has a coppery shade (Kalahari II) which BB Shimmering Nudes does not. Do I need both NARS Best and BB Shimmering Nudes? Probably not. I may be in the minority, but I prefer this over NARS Best.

Packaging - The palette compact is BB's standard glossy black plastic with squared edges; inside are 7 rectangular pans of e/s, a brush well, and full size mirror under the lid. The included dual-ended brush has an small shadow/shader brush on one end and orange taklon liner brush on the other.

Overall - A winner for fair-to-medium warm-toned gals like me (AAB/NC25) who love subtle neutrals. Makes me look very polished. I found it at a CCO for only $35 (original retail was $50). continued >>

Got this as a swap and I absolutely love it! I'm a light/natural eye MU type of girl, and this allows you to create a whole variety of looks, from a subtle brown smokey eye to a "no makeup" slight-vanilla-shimmer look. The shadows have a lot of pigment to them, and are super easy to blend. I have a feeling this palette will last me forever, but I would buy it again if necessary. For natural MU girls, this might be the only palette you will ever need. =)
