Bastille My Heart is one of my all time favorite shades from one of my all time favorite collections, OPI's French Collection. I'm partial to this collection because I'm of french descent so I migrate towards this rich & elegant collection, but I think most girls would. The shades in this collection are so rich, elegant, sophisticated & yet so chic, hip with such a sense of style and refinement. Bastille My Heart is one of the stand outs in this fabulous collection! I'm a creme polish girl, but I do like a high quality looking shimmer and this one is it! I love the cranberry, plum & deep berry/raisin shades for fall & I love this shade spectrum so much that I try & sneak these shades in my wardrobe all year long. I would best describe this shade as a deep, complex plumish cranberry shimmer creme & if you have these two shades combined in one polish & I must purchase!!! I find cranberry polishes are hard to find & plum shades tend to take center stage these past seasons, but when I find a cranberry shade, I must purchase, but this one is in a catogory all its own. This cranberry/plumish shimmer has so much depth & complexity to it. It looks as beautiful in the bottle as it does on my fingers & that doesn't happen all the time. Bastille My Heart reminds me of OPI's Swiss Collection's, Diva Of Geneva, but Diva has gold undertones in it & is a half shade lighter going toward the plum side more while Bastille My Heart migrates toward the cranberry side. I find Bastille to be a richer, creamier, shimmery formula next to Diva. I love Diva as well, but Bastille makes me feel so feminine & sexy, but in a simple, clean understated way. The shade is dark, but not overwhelming. I receive so many compliments when I wear this shade & I subconsciously must really love it because I always tend to reach for it in colder months & it stays on longer than any shade I've ever purchased from OPI. This shade was the first dark shade that I ever purchased from OPI & I make sure I always have it my collection. It's a must! It never chips & that to me is worth every penny because that's one thing that I'm a stickler about when it comes to my nails! I'll obsess on the chip all day until I can get home & fix it, but never with this shade & seldom if ever with most OPI polishes. This shade is really so elegant & luxurious girls! You'll really feel like something special in this shade as it's so feminine, womanly & sophisticated. This is definitely a sexy, sultry shade & not a girly shade! This shade oozes confidence, inner & outer strength & beauty! All that in one little bottle! I'll take it! That's what different shades do for me! It brings out different feelings & emotions! Don't let this one pass you by or any from OPI's French Collection! :) continued >>

Bastille My Heart is a reddish cranberry with a slight shimmer. It's a beautiful color and it wears well. It's easy to apply, and two coats is all you need for a beautiful pedicure. Typically, I would save this shade for fall & winter. However, it's a color that I can wear all year round in So CA. This shade works with my skin tone, and it's one of my new favorites...

Simply put, I love this color! Three thin coats is all I need to achieve the perfect finish and the pro wide brush makes it really easy. It dries really glossy so a top coat isn't absolutely necessary, which is perfect. The color is sophisticated and bold without being over the top.

I love this colour, for reference I am NW 15-20 in MAC, very pale with strong pinkish/red undertones (my hands are always a light pink, lol). This is a red that I can wear in Fall/Winter and it always looks great. I'm on my 3rd bottle!

Bastille My Heart is a beautiful deep red colour that can also look berry-ish with subtle shimmer. At first I was unsure how it would look on my nails because I have extremely pale skin. However, even with pale skin I still love to wear darker colours in the fall/winter. Application was decent - I did notice it go on a little thinner in some parts of the nail - 2 coats is normally all that I like to do but I did have to go over a couple nails with a 3rd coat. Even though application took a little more effort it was so worth it! Love the colour for fall/winter, but let me say the wear on this is fantastic! I don't know what it is about the polishes from the France collection but they wear the very best out of all of my OPI polishes (I have You Don't Know Jacques and Tickle My Francy also). I had no chips until 4 days in, and even that was the smallest chip that was barely even noticable. Removal was easy and I must say I was worried it would be difficult to remove and possibly stain my nail but it was a breeze! I highly recommend this if you're looking for a nice dark red for fall/winter. What sets this apart from other polishes for me is how long it lasts.

This is a deep red/ burgundy with slight magenta shimmer that gives depth to the colour. I'm usually afraid of reds because some shades look garish on my NC 25 skin which has golden undertones. But Bastille my heart, like most of the OPI France collection polishes, is sexy, classy, and looks equally good on fingers and toes. Love it!

At first, I was confused when I opened up my package of recently ordered polishes and saw Bastille My Heart. In the bottle, it looked to be more of a purple than the dark red that I was expecting. It also had magenta shimmer that was very noticeable in the sunlight and in fluorescent lighting, which made it seem as if it would clash with my warm undertones, since magenta-purple colors do not flatter me at all. I was very disappointed, since I've only heard raves about how this color is a beautiful dark red.
Yet, on my hand, it looks absolutely gorgeous. It's a reddish wine color that would look great on all skin tones. The shimmer is not obvious at all, not even in the sunlight. Outdoors, it looks very red, just a shade darker than I'm Not Really A Waitress. Indoors, it's a very classy burgundy color.
Don't let the bottle fool you!

A great berry whine color, although it doesn't seem to be incredibly unique. It's still very pretty, just a slight shimmer (more like a 'satin' finish than visible shimmer). My only complaint is that it seemed to take more coats than it should (3-4), and I can still see just a few thin spots in bright lighting. Very pretty fall/winter shade, though.

This is my favorite red to date. It has a lot of depth, and looks different in different lights, so I'm always staring at my nails when I wear it. Indoors, it is a beautiful rich wine color. In the sun or bright lights, you see the magenta sparkles, which entirely changes the color.
I like this red because a) it works with my warm undertones, whereas many reds are too blue-toned, and b) I can wear it and not feel like I have red porn star nails. It's utterly gorgeous.
Reminds me a little of Bogota Blackberry, only I like Bastille so much better.

Beautiful, sexy, faboosh! Love this color. On me, this comes out a cranberry-reddish color and it is just so flattering for all skin tones. This is the only color I will ever paint on fingers, usually I am just a piggie only type gal (i.e. lazy). But it is that gorgeous! I love how it has a slight sheen to it so its not totally flat. I use 2 coats for this and the staying power is great. Have been through 2 bottles already and will continue to purchase, a great color you can wear all year round!

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this colour yet !! How should I put this? Bastille My Heart is simply my favourite nail polish. ever. ever. ever.
This is probably the sexiest colour I've ever worn. This mid-toned red has a more berry type undertone than an orange-y undertone for a red, which I ADORE. The shimmer is not excessive but just enough that it is noticeable in low light. Even though I'm not into the whole vampire thing going on, it's such a vampire polish !!!! Like others have said, it's not quite as dark as the bottle suggests, and it's got amazing pigment to it. My number 1 for anything and everything !!

this is one of my all time fave reds!
in the bottle, it looks like a deep burgundy red, but on my nails, it's the perfect red, not as dark as the bottle color and very high in pigment. applies perfect with 2 coats and dries super fast. love the pro wide brush!
i was very hesitant to put this on, but im glad i tried it out. it's not a creme but not highly shimmer. indoors, it looks deeper, outdoors it's pretty bright

What a wonderful color. Rich dark red, like red wine color, with just enough shimmer to make it interesting. It is brighter than Malaga Wine and Manicurist of Seville, and my favorite. Very classy, elegant and sexy. Application was a breeze, and it stays for more than 4 days on nails without chipping. Will definitively repurchase.

Whata glamourous, rich & versatile color. Great for manis, great for pedis. I am a PPP and love this. It is a cool-toned deep red (not burgundy, not cherry) that reminds me of some other shades.

LOVE IT. A bit of a flash (shimmer) to it. Lots of shine and depth. A keeper! continued >>

On my fair white skin and nails this comes up as a deep burgundy red as opposed to fire engine red (as the picture suggest). It is a lovely colour, not particularly individual, but lovely as is most of the OPI French collection. Will repurchase.

I'm not sure if I have a defective bottle of Bastille My Heart, or it's just my skin tone, but for me, Bastille My Heart does not show up extremely red, or "fire engine red" as the review below says. On my fair skin, this polish shows up a very very deep burgundy with a beautiful depth and shimmer. I like really dark colors for my nails so this this a gorgeous alternative to most of the navies, deep purples, and blacks I tend to wear.

I like this red out of the France collection. It is a nice, deep but vibrant red with a hint of shimmer in the shade. I prefer sheer, pale or very deep colors on my tips, but I do use this for pedicures. It stood the test of summer flip flop season and looks great in both casual and dressy situations.
It does apply a little streaky compared to many of my other OPI reds. Not sure if this has anything to do with the France collections formula or not. Because of the streaky application and OPI's always changing colors, I do not know if I would repurchase this shade, however I am really enjoying using it while the bottle lasts!
