So, I bought a whole buch of ZuZu Luxe stuff all at once when I got this. I had decided to overhaul my makeup and make greener/healthier. This was the only product I got that I didn't like. I will not use this ever again. It took me a little while to figure out this was what was breaking me out. I also don't like the consistency of it either. It feels heavy for being oil free to me. It might work for some people but definately not for me. It was also expensive (I think I payed $20 or more for it) for only getting 1oz of product.

Ok, I was using the Gabriel Color line in Pale Ivory - perfect color and awesome coverage -but it made me breakout!!! WAH! I was so bummed because this covered all my redness, dark circles and didn't fall in my lines. So I figured it was one of oils in the product that was making me breakout so since the oil-free Zuzu Luxe is made my the same company I figured lets try the oil free and see. I go the L-3 which is closest to Pale Ivory. The other reviewers are right - this foundation provides NO coverage at all. WTH??? And it is more expensive. It actually has less ingredients in it - why would it be more expensive than the Gabriel Color line by the same company that has more ingredients (and honestly is better quality)? On the website, it says "medium to full coverage" My butt! This has less coverage than the Physicans Formula Organics Tinted Moisturizer I have. It covered NO red on me. And it is not like I am a lobster or anything. My cheeks are just have a little redness. The color match seemed Ok - cool/neutral undertone but I honestly couldn't even tell because well, I used twice the amount that I used for the Gabriel Color and it still didn't cover ANYTHING. What was worse is how much I paid - $31! Back this goes to Whole Foods. Another thing is that when I took the tube out of the Whole Foods bin, it was laying on it side and I could clearly tell that the tube was NOT full. I honestly thought it was a used tube but all the other tubes looked like that too so I figured it was just the way it was but it still irked me that I was paying that much the tube was obviously that even full. Right now it is standing upright and I bet in the morning I will be able to tell it is not full. Doesn't matter anyhow -because it doesn't do what I need - back it goes! I just ordered some Ecco Bella online and we will see how that works for me. So, if you don't break out from foundation, get the Gabriel Color line of this foundation - not the Zuzu Luxe one and you will get the coverage you need. I have lots of acne scars and uneven skin tone - and it covered pretty well for me. Don't get the Zuzu Luxe - unless you want no coverage for 31 bucks. I am pretty disappointed.

This is my new favorite foundation! I use in conjunction with the matching Zuzu Luxe powder foundation, and the two together provide light to medium coverage, yet allow my skin to breathe. Neither causes my combination/sensitive skin to break out. The liquid alone leaves my face an oil slick, and the powder alone does not provide sufficient coverage, but the two together work perfectly. During the day, I touch up my oily areas as needed with blot sheets and Jane Iredale beyond matte translucent powder. At most, I only need to reapply the Zuzu powder once during the day. It holds up very well.

Prevous foundations used were: Jane Iredale pressed powder (not enough coverage; needed to reapply constantly); MAC studio sculpt (rubbed off on my clothes; caused me to break out consistently after 1 month of use); Paula's Choice Best Face Forward (good coverage, breathable skin, but led to breakouts); and Lancome Teint Idole Ultra (skin breaks out after about 1 week of use; consistent 18-hour wear results in clogged pores). The Zuzu liquid/powder combo provides more coverage than the JI foundation or a tinted moisturizer, but less than my MAC or Lancome foundations. However, since Zuzu doesn't break me out, I can get away with the lesser coverage.

Color matching is a little tricky with Zuzu. You might need liquid and powder in different shades to get a perfect match. My skin is neutral (but more cool than warm), and light-to-medium in tone. I wear C1 or NW20 in MAC; light beige or warm silk in JI; and Buff 4 (C) with Light 10 (W) in Lancome. In Zuzu I started with L-3 in the liquid (light/ivory/netural), but ultimately decided it was too light for me, and also too pink. I then switched to L-11 (light/medium/neutral) which is a much closer match. I typically set it with either the Zuzu D-7 powder (pale/ivory/beige) or D-14 powder (light/medium/neutral). At the moment, I'm not totally happy with either shade: D-7 is too light/orangey, but D-14 is just a tad bit too dark. I get a better color match with Mineral Fusion setting powder, and sometimes use that instead. However, the Zuzu powder controls oil better, so I go back and forth between the two brands.

I have the new packaging of the liquid foundation, which is a 1-oz. soft plastic squeeze tube, rather than a pump, and is eminently portable for travel. Also, I'm guessing Zuzu re-formulated the product sometime after 2009, because it has plenty of slip - it doesn't dry too quickly or go on too matte like a previous reviewer described. Both my Lancome and MAC foundations dried much more quickly than Zuzu. I apply Zuzu with my MAC foundation brush. Finally, I agree with a previous reviewer that the coverage is light, but once you combine it with the matching powder, the coverage improves substantially, so be sure to use the two together.

I like this foundation very much! First, it's vegan. Maybe that's all I need to know. ;-) But the L3 colour is great for me, and I really like the super-light texture.

I will say that I have a problem with the pump action of the bottle, blasting out product in an unexpected way. Also, I like the Revlon New Complexion liquid foundation so much, I'd have a hard time switching to ANY other foundation, at this time.

But I really do see this product as my #2 go-to foundation, for everyday wear. Thank you, Zuzu Luxe!!! Great alternative to the cruel kind of make-up!!!

This "foundation" provides less coverage than a tinted moisturizer would. I tried three different colors in the new formula, and although I was expecting light coverage, this did nothing for my skin. It soaked right into my skin and didn't even even-out my skin tone. This definitely isn't worth the money, especially since I'm hard pressed to find any value whatsoever in this so-called foundation. If you're looking for a natural foundation that actually provides coverage, try Gabriel Moisturizing Liquid Foundation.

I really like this product! So far, this is the best vegan liquid foundation I have found. I am very happy with it so far, so even though it's somewhat pricy, I will definitely repurchase!!

Needs much more formulatory work done on it - as a previous review has stated, it's so dry that even the quickest, most sure-handed application technique won't manage it satisfactorily. I haven't tried mixing it with moisturiser or TM to help with applicability, maybe I'll try that in the future if I can reanimate some interest in this product.
Coverage is also really bad - useless pretty much. It doesn't even have enough coverage to give a smoother-skinned look on larger pored areas, even if it did nothing else. Unsurprisingly, it's a big time pore-sinker. I timed the last time I wore it - it took about 20 mins to sink into the pores I have on either side of my nose. I wore it over primer and it balled. Beware any dry areas getting this foundation onto them, because it will flake up like crazy.
Its main pro is that it is a vegan foundation. It's a great pity they didn't spend a little more time and effort to make it a useable product. The other pro - it didn't seem to cause any clogging, certainly its ingredients are all very noncomedogenic. But really, if it can't function as a foundation then the lack of comedogenicity is sort of a pyrrhic victory for it. The idea of repurchasing this would be a joke. The price is certainly equal to a better product: $29.75 from several online places.

I absolutely love this foundation! I use one pump for a natural look, and two pumps of product when I want more coverage. It is a smooth, airy liquid that smooths on easily, and dries to nice matte natural looking finish. The lightest shade matches my skin perfectly. This is a great foundation for very sensitive skin and easily clogged pores, as it is very light , non-oily with gentle ingredients.

I so wanted to like this foundation. I was looking for a liquid foundation that was suitable for combination skin and that contained no animal-derived ingredients. I ordered this from a vegan-oriented Web site in shade L-3, and when it arrived I realized it was too light for me. I also wasn't so impressed by the texture -- no slip whatsoever. But I thought it would work for summertime as I live in Fla. where it's super humid.
I ordered another one in shade L-11, which was actually too dark, but when combined with L-3 it matched my skin OK. However, even on the most humid of days, this foundation isn't something I would reach for. It is so matte that it almost dries before I even get it on my face, and doesn't apply very smoothly or evenly. I know it's oil-free, but this is ridiculous. I appreciate the pump applicator, and perhaps for a person with really oily skin this might work. As for me, I'm still searching for that perfect cruelty-free liquid foundation.
