I like this product - even better than Secret Clinical - keeps me dry and has a higher concentration of anti-perspirant.
I try to get the cucumber/green tea ("fresh") fragrance.
Good product.
As someone who has suffered from hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) since hitting puberty, I am constantly on the prowl for effective antiperspirants. It's a difficult thing to overcome because there really is no permanent solution for it. And when you have it to a severe degree, you're basically stuck constantly trying to hide the dinner-plate sized sweat stains under your arms or putting prescription strength products on your pits that burn the crap out of your skin and prevent you from being able to shave regularly. It seems as though it's a lose lose situation, really.
I've pretty well always used Drysol, which is ABSOLUTELY brutal on the skin. There have been times where I've put it on before bed and needed to wash it off within 30 minutes because of how bad it burns. It's 20% Aluminum chloride hexahydrate, and that stuff is all kinds of bad news for anyone. It's terribly harsh on the skin (as anyone who has used it would know) and studies have shown that ACH increases the chances of developing Alzheimer's later in life. NO GOOD! But what do you do if your excessive sweating really starts to affect most aspects of your life? Keep hunting.
A few months ago I tried Perspirex, a new product that only contains 10% ACH. This stuff didn't work for me at all, and it still had that awful chemical smell and burned upon application. Pretty well for the past decade of my life I have made a habit of carrying a sweater with me all the time, for when my sweat stains become really noticeable. It's embarrassing! Summer is a terrible time for me. And here in Alberta, we only get it for about three months, so I'd like to be able to make the most of it.
About a month or so ago I came across Dove's new Clinic Strength Antiperspirant. I didn't expect it to control my sweating all that much but I figured it was worth a shot. It was a little on the pricey side compared to regular dedodorants. I think I bought it *ON SALE* for around $10.00. It comes in a few different scents which is a nice change from the horrible chemical smell of any prescription strength antiperspirant. I opted for the cucumber and green tea one. It's not too overwhelming and I like the fact that the scent is based on two natural ingredients that are good for skin (not sure if these ingredients are actually in this product but it smells pretty good!)
I've been pleasantly surprised to find that this stuff actually works! I haven't been sweating excessively from my arm pits since I started using it. I like the consistency, it doesn't flake like most deodorants and it dries fairly quickly (no nasty wet feeling). I put it on after I shower every morning and it lasts the whole day. My only issues with this product are the fact that it comes out of the applicator very inconsistently. You'll notice that it will only come out of a few of the little holes rather than all of them. Also, if you put it on before getting dressed, let it dry first. I get a few white marks on my shirts but they rub off easily and I'm sure this coud be avoided if you let it dry thoroughly before putting a shirt on. I see that a few people think it's a bit pricey, but I think it's worth the $10.00, considering that it works, it smells pleasant (no horrible chemical stink), and it doesn't burn the hell out of your skin!
I'll definitely continue to buy this product. It seems to last awhile too if you're only applying it once a day, which is effective enough!

A few years ago, I suddenly became very sweaty in my under arms (particularly in my right, weird) and regular deoderant/antipersperent wasn't cutting it. I've tried a few different brands of clinical strength deoderants and Dove is my favorite. I love the varity of scents and have tried most of them. I love how these apply like a cream and blend into the skin without clumping or flaking. I still get sweaty in my "overactive" right arm pit, but not as bad and I'm *never* stinky because of it when using this. You only need a small amount of product so this lasts forever.
This product is absolutely amazing. I have been using it for about 3 years now, and although I sometimes switch to other clinical strength deodorants if there is a really good sale, Dove Clinical Protection is my absolute favorite. I used to have a pretty bad sweat problem- hot or cold I would sweat, and this made me very uncomfortable. Regular deodorant was just not doing it. But wow when I discovered this stuff I can really say that my life was changed to a huge extent. I no longer had to worry about sweating too much or smelling weird, this product protects from all of that. And you know the weird white clumps you get from regular deodorant? Ha ha ha I sure don't miss those, Dove Clinical Protection even protects you from that. It is fairly expensive and a bottle will last about 2 months, but 8 bucks for 2 months of pure awesomeness and protection is so worth it! It is definitely worth a try. It may not work for some people, but it did wonders for me. Thank you, Dove!
This is as close a clinical strength deodorant I've found in a drugstore. I get smelly very fast. Hot weather, cold weather, while sleeping, at the gym, etc if I don't have a high quality deodorant it is not pleasant. This deodorant keeps me smell-free from after shower to bedtime the next day! It's supposed to be applied at night so it can really set and block the sweat, which is safe. I shower in the am and let it dry before I get dressed. It is important you let it dry to save yourself from those embarrassing white clothing stains (it can get messy). I can go 2 days and not smell! It has the click applicator and dries as clear as any white cream deodorant does. It hasn't flaked off onto my clothes throughout the day. I alternate between this and another brand 'clinical strength' liquid deodorant. I can't use most of the cheaper popular brands because I smell right through them. I'm on my second package and still loving it!
I bought this product because I am pregnant. Apparently, you sweat WAY more during pregnancy so I had to purchase something to keep my sweaty stinkyness in control. It was either this or Secret Clinical for my first ever purchase for clinical strength deodorant. I chose Dove, I'll admit it was because of their marketing.
Where to begin... The product doesn't expel properly. When you click it, it comes out uneven which is weird. So I use 2-3 clicks per arm. It's VERY difficult to wash off. I even used Dove Winter Care soap to try to remove it and it is still difficult. I tried different soaps, even body wash on a loofah. It leaves a gross slick feeling during washing and after. It is most difficult to remove if you use it at night (although, it is difficult anyway) and then take a shower in the morning which is what I did. It does in fact get all over your clothes which was annoying. I would have a weird smell by the end of the day, my husband is usually grossed out but hey, that's what long thorough showers are for.
I'm almost done with this product. The only reason I'm going to use it until it is finished because it was close to $8. Would I purchase this product again? No. Would I recommend it? No way. I'm going to try other clinical strength deodorants as I have a hard time believing that a deodorant is that difficult to wash off.
This isn't my favourite, but I've never had any sweaty problems with it! The packaging is great - except I find the formula comes out a little thick. The smell is slightly...well...clinical haha. And it does get ALL OVER YOUR CLOTHES almost unavoidably, even when you put it on the night before as you're meant to. If you really need it, it's probably great, but if you don't reaaaally need a clinical strength...maybe leave it.
This product works great for me. This is the only deodorant Ill use. I absolutley cant stand when people say something doesnt work and they didnt follow directions. You do have to use it the night before as the directions state. I stay much drier than I did when using a regular deodorant. I love the fact of putting it on at night because when I get dressed in the morning I dont have to worry about stains and marks on my clothing. This is one of my fav products! Also, Ive tried the Secret version and it made me itchy and irritated, Dove did not.
