I like this a lot. I've been frustrated lately with polishes I buy being so not what they look like online/blogs/photos. This actually is. I wanted a nice deep purple that was still bright enough to be noticed yet not shimmery. This is my first Orly, but so far so good. I bought 2 others and the formula seems great. A little long to dry but such a nice shine and thickness. The only real issue is that the brushes I checked out in the store and even mine are a tad bit crappy. They have stray bristles and this is from supposedly unused polish? Wish the brush was better. Still, application for me was fine.

Charged Up is a bright purple but it's not exactly neon. It was around $5 at Sally's where I picked it up. I feel it the color is very unique. I feel the only downsides which are minimal that the brush is somewhat thin to some wider ones like OPI. But that could be a preference thing. Also the polish goes on very sheer, especially the first. But I felt after three coats (which I didn't mind applying) it was decently opaque and if you really wanted it thick you could apply a fourth and be set. Another thing I love about this polish it dries quickly so that definitely helps with the amount of coats you need to apply. Otherwise I love this polish!
Oh how I LOVE this jelly, beautiful color.. but yes awful formula and very difficult to apply nicely in 2 coats =( Will probably repurchase.. maybe by the second bottle I can perfect getting it on smoothly...for now I am using crackles over it :)
Charged Up is a medium blue based purple cream, similar to ChG Grape Pop except a little bit lighter. This is one of those colors that seems to glow on the nail. The only complaint I have is that the formula is a bit sheer - it takes three coats to become opaque. But I really love this color as well as Orly polishes in general, I think they are great quality and are highly underated.
Color for me was a lot darker on the nail. Instead of being a good down the road purple, it was a deep plum color. It was a bit goopy and hard to put on evenly. I used two coats had to wait over an hour even with a fast dry top coat for it to dry completely.
This purple reminds me of OPI's Funky Dunkey and they both have awful formula's right out of the bottle this was thick, goopey and difficult to control. I only needed two coats but used three to even everything out. With three coats the polished looked messy and thick on the nail. I love the color however it's a medium blue undertoned purple cream. I wish the formula and brush were better because I've worn this once as well as funky dunky because it was a pain to put on.
This polish was darker than I expected and I am still on the hunt for a true barney purple....it goes on light and needs a few coats. Glad I got the mini size
This is one of the prettiest nail polishes I own, sadly it doesnt live up to its expectations. It starts chipping the second day and doesnt go on evenly.Such a shame since I love this color and paid almost ten bucks for it, but I will not be repurchasing
Orly Charged Up is about tied for all time favorite purple along w/ OPI Sapphire in the Snow.
What makes this perfection .. it's a cream that isn't too light, and isn't too deep after 2-3 coats. It retains it's "purple" status without leaning towards being too deep. It's a blue based purple that looks amazing on tips and toes, and one of the few polishes I've gotten loads of compliments on. Wears well, applies easily, total home run in my stash! continued >>
