What it Claims:
"The unique texture of MAKE UP FOR EVER Eyeshadow is due to its high pigment density, which makes them last and last. You can obtain maximum coverage with the Matte texture; the Semi-Matte has a silky satiny feel; and the iridescent shades give a transparent sheen."
Claims - True or False?
1) High pigment density: Mostly true.
2) Long-lasting: True.
3) Silky, satiny feel: False.
Comes in a sleek and slim black compact, with a slender window running down the lid allowing you to see the shade. The lid flips open and stays closed with a magnet. I find that the plastic, perhaps because of the sheen, gives off a bit of a cheap appearance, but otherwise I do like the packaging. I've never had issues with durability or it breaking in any way. One thing that I'd like to see changed though is how far back the lid opens. It only opens to a 90 degree angle, and I'd prefer it to open completely, as the lid can easily close when you don't want it to.
Not an amazing formula, especially compared to other MUFE shadows, but it is acceptable for my standards. This shade is almost a canary mustard yellow, very bright and completely matte. In certain lighting I find that it's not very visible, but in others it's very obvious. It looks best when layered in order to maximize coverage, and a primer is a must. Wet application will also help intensify the colour. The feel of the shadow is a bit powdery, definitely more likely to cause some fallout when applying. It can also look a bit chalky, but if it's well blended and well layered, it's not very obvious, especially once the skin's oils have mingled with the powder a little bit. Because it has a sheerer initial application, it works very well as both an all-over shadow and as an overlay shadow to help brighten up or mattify certain looks. It blends out pretty well as well, no real harsh lines.
Like all other MUFE shadows, I have no issues with wear. It lasts until I remove it, the colour remains vibrant, it doesn't cause fallout during the day, overall works well.
Bang for your Buck:
This shadow and others in this line come in at $19.00USD for 2.5g. While it may seem expensive at first, these shadows can last quite some time with regular use. However, I find that when compared to their star powders, these shadows are used up faster and more product is used, yet this one provides less product for the same price.
Not an easy shade to pull off for everyone, but if you think you can handle this type of shade, definitely check this colour out. It's not a perfect formula, but it offers good coverage if you take a bit more time to work with it, lasts all day, and is definitely going to stand out! I've not seen many similar shades in easy-to-access brands, so take a look and see how you like it.

Would you buy this product again: Yes.
I was looking for a bright yellow and went to sephora to look for 1 the only yellow eyeshadow they had was the makeup forever so i bought it and truly regret it. it didnt show on my skin at all and im not dark skinned. im pretty light. i threw out the receipt so now i cant return it :( worst yellow ever. il stick with mac next time.
very disappointed in this product. It didn't show up very well on dark skin, and wasn't very pigmented. Not worth the 20 dollars at all
I have this and have not worn it yet, but swatched it and it is a gorgeouse color. Very pigmented as MUFE eye shadows always are. I'll update later...
WOW. I have been lemming a straight up matte yellow shadow for a while now, and finally decided on the MUFE #002, described on Sephora as matte brilliant yellow.
When I received it in the mail, I was surprised at how large it was. I hadn't paid much attention to the size when I ordered it, just figuring it would be around MAC size. Wrong! Its exactly twice as large as MAC shadows, but is only $4 more expensive. Now add to that the fact that it has wonderful texture, is a dream to blend, and has great pigmentation and lasting power? UBER.
Also, this yellow is extremely versatile. It pairs with and blends into so many colors for a multitude of looks, because it is a true yellow. Not yellow with green undertones, not yellow with orange undertones, just yellow. So it blends into and looks great with a number of different colors (pink, green, blue, red, etc etc). Also, you can layer this on top of other colors to change their hue. For example, I layered this on top of MAC's Coppering, and turned it into a gorgeous shade, something like a darker Firespot.
