As a long time user of "Kyoto Pearl" I was anxious to try the limited edition "Pearl's Night Out" from the Spring/Summer of 2008. It is sheerer than Kyoto and would make a good topper. However, with 2 coats alone it was just "meh" on my PPP cool-toned hands. I will continue to stick with Kyoto Pearl which is slightly more opaque and a bit warmer. (Barely noticeable.)

You do not need to buy both - and if it were me, I'd only buy Kyoto.
