LOVE this cleanser. I don't think I've ever loved a cleanser! :) It has a nice floral smell, but nothing to over powering and suds up nicely but not too much. My skin didn't feel stripped at all and in fact feels nice and smooth afterwards. I like it because it seems to calm my skin or even it out a little. I have some discoloration and left over acne marks and after using this and the the matching toner, I feel like my skin looks not as uneven as it can look. I've been using it going on two months, so if anything changes, I'll update, but for now, I really love this and the toner as well and kind of look forward to using it. I just use it at night and in the morning after warm water, I just use the toner. The only downside is the packaging... it seems to leak a bit and gets kind of sticky around the opening if you have it standing up on the lid like it's designed to.

This is a very basic cleanser for oily skin. I wasn't expecting miracles from a cleanser, but I have used several other cleansers for my skin type that have left my pores visibly smaller, with a healthy glow. This cleanser didn't do that for me. Although it left my skin feeling clean, it also looked dehydrated. Yes, oily skin can get dehydrated too! When using products with harsh detergents, my skin will get tight with dry patches/flakes. To compensate, my skin will produce even more oil seeping out from underneath the dry top layer of skin. That's exactly what this cleanser did for me. I generally like American Beauty products, but not this one. I would not recommend this cleanser to anyone.

I have had my eye on this product for quite some time now and decided to take the plunge! I use this in the morning and like the consistency of the gel which is on the thin side. It leaves my face feeling clean. I have used too much at times and my face has gotten very dry from that so its best to use a small or moderate amount. My main reason for not repurchasing is that I am now looking for a cleanser that contains more organic ingredients with a non-synthetic fragrance or fragrance-free.

I love this cleanser! I have combination skin that tends to be acne/clog prone along my forehead/chin area. I was using the regular Cetaphil cleanser, but it felt filmy, even after rinsing. This stuff, however, is amazing! It removed *all* of my face makeup (I use a separate eye makeup remover, so I can't attest to that) -- including the medium/full coverage foundation I was wearing -- and left my face feeling clean (not tight) and refreshed. It comes out as a clear, liquidy gel that turns into a very light foam, so you don't need any more than a nickle/quarter size amount. It's so gentle but incredibly effective. And I love the fresh, clean smell of the gel. Makes me look forward to taking my makeup off. :)
