Carmex is AMAZING. It's great for when your lips are chapped and when your lips are super dry! It stings a bit, but you know it's working. Yes it does have a strong smell, but does it matter? No. I know guys who even use this! If you think Chapstick is better than this, then your wrong. Makes my lips soft and smooth and doesn't over-dry. Def a repurchase everytime!

I absolutely love this lip balm! It smells amazing (cherries) but it is a strong smell so if you don't like the smell of cherries I would not recommend.
I always put this on my lips at night and when I wake up my lips are never dried out and feel very moisturized .

ICK!!! I have lip balm by th edozen & have moved toward more natural products, but I got one of these as a stocking stuffer & figured I'd keep it bedside. I put it on and needed to RUN to the bathroom to scrub it off my mouth: just wiping it with tissues wouldn't get rid of the nasty, chemical disgustin flavor. Oh god, this is the worst thing I've ever tried besides EOS lip balms. I didn't buy this myself. My dad gave it to me when he bought 2 for 3 dollars. It doesn't moisturizer at all. It's too thin. It makes my lips even drier when it wears off. It has a HORRIBLE after taste. Cough syrup? Shoot, cherry cough syrup tastes better than this horrible crap. I'll go with the Carmex Vanilla in a stick over this.

Carmex is just amazing.
Over in England it is only £2.69 per pot, that IS dirt cheap! I bring my Carmex Cherry Lip Pot wherever I go, at all times. It's so useful; it smooths onto lips and occasionally it has that satisfying gritty texture, by at least 1 hour your lips are left feeling silky smooth!
I will definitely buy Carmex again...

I have been buying carmex for years, and I absolutely love it. It leaves my lips feeling lovely and soft.
One thing I remember when I first bought this was the scent being very strong, however over time I grew to love it.
It makes the lips feel slightly tingly, especially if they're very dry, but it's not an unpleasant sensation.
I repurchase this often, and it's definitely my go-to lip balm :)

I really wanted to like this. I have used Carmex in the past without a problem. I bought a pack a 3 of these for like $3 or $4...and ended up using 1/2 of one tube and throwing the rest away. I have never used a lip balm that has made my lips so dry and flaky. The taste is horrible as well...comparable to cough syrup. Right now I'm using a Nivea lip balm with spf that is moisturizing and lightly scented that works great. Really disappointed in this Carmex product.

I decided to give carmex a chance. Since i hate the original i thought cherry would be okay. I had to reapply 3 times within 4 hours and it was really runny so i threw it away. It also dried out my lips and then started to peel. I will not repurchase...

I love this product, specialy when it's cold outside. If I skip using anything in my lips, they get chapped pretty fast, but this little miracle in a tube heals my lips in just 1 day!! Plus it smells just great!
I preffer this than the one that comes with the jar. The product is supposed to be the same, but this one is not so solid and my lips absorb it faster.
Will buy again for sure!!

I love my carmex mint stick with SPF15, love the minty flavor, love the tingling! In HK, it's like 60 dollars for 3 of these, plus they have SPF in it!!
I have one on my vanity, one in my purse, one on my office desk and quite a few in my backup drawers! A definitely must for me!

PROS: Better packaging (easier to use) than the little pot, and it's more sanitary. Smell is great.

CONS: The texture is like Vaseline. Hate to get it in my mouth at all.

ALTERNATES: I like Lypsyl with SPF or Chapstick 100% Naturals if don't need SPF. When I need heavy-duty help, I love Neosporin Overnight Lip product.

Of all the lipbalms that I've tried, I like this thebest. I love how it moisturizes my lips, keeping them nice and soft and hydrated without developing a gross film like how other lipbalms have done. I only have good things to say about this. Definitely will keep re-buying!!

I love this product it's amazing. It really does keep your lips at their best and everything. I don't have much to say about it because it's so AMAZING!

Cheap, comes in a cute pot, smells amazing, SPF, and gives lips a nice sheen. What's not to love?

I have used it for years! It's great tasting. It sometimes works great as a gloss on top of a lipstick or lipliner when you're in a rush. It tastes like cherry plus it's got that mentholated feel to it. It does provide hydration although at times not enough for my lips. And yes, it can be addictive.

I agree with several reviews below. My lips are dry after I use this and it doesn't even have staying power. Total crap and I wouldn't buy again. The original Carmex in a tin is where it's at!!

This is terrible, it feels as though it makes my lips drier. The good things are the packaging (the tin is cute), nice cherry smell, spf and cooling feeling when you put it on. However I found soft lips gives the same cooling (menthol I think) effect whilst actually moisturising my lips. Overall the good points of this product do not make up for the fact that it does nothing to make my lips softer or more moisturised and that is what I bought it for.

i like the original formula of the Carmex much more than this, Cherry one i feel like does not do what the original one does. It's much more watery to me and doesn't make my lips as soft
