I got this as a sample from a friend who works for Lancome and usually I don't like pencils that you have to sharpen but this one works very good and although I do have cheaper eyeliners that work just as well, I feel that this one stays on longer and is darker which I like because I'm not big on going to the bathroom to reapply during a night out.
Definitely will think about repurchasing but because of the pricing being at $25 a pencil, I will rethink and maybe look for something better like the MAC kohl for about $14 instead
disappointed! it smudges and transfers onto my lower lid area...giving me racoon eyes even when i set it with an eye shadow to prevent smudging! worst eye liner i have tried and it is not very black. it does not glide on smoothly, tugs my lids. i would give 0 lippy if the system would let...!
Goes on creamy but it smudges right off. I put this on my upper lash line and within one hour it's smudged in my crease. Awful.
Great eyeliner! It's a bit pricey, but definetly worth your $!
It is very creamy and goes on so smoothly. it's not the most pigmented eyeliner out there, but it gives u a smoky kind of black color that looks amazing.
I'm so surprised by all the reviews of this.... For me this eyeliner is the best eyeliner BY FAR. It glides on effortlessly and I get great staying power... it will last all day... or all night depending. If I'm going out for a marathon night I'll apply NYX shadow base before my eyemakeup, but I don't need that kind of wear daily. Overall my HG eyeliner... I have it in Lapis, and Coffee as well. They last forever so while it's a pricey eyeliner... no doubt in my mind it's well worth it!!
I wear black eyeliner in a straight line on my upper lid.
While this liner goes on smoothly, it unfortunately smudges and smears very quickly...
I really wanted to like this liner, and I have tried many things to try to make it work, to no avail -- using foundation and powder on my lids before applying, putting dark eyeshadow over it to keep it in my lids... nothing works..
It always comes off in a line above my crease where my lid touches (if that makes sense), and the little 'cat-eye' line at the edge of my eye comes off in what seems like minutes..
I got this as a sample/gift with a larger purchase at Lancome in a dept. store.
This applies BEAUTIFULLY-very creamy and black, but the lasting power is horrible. Seriously, I think an hour after I apply it, I have to touch up! This would be HG worthy if it lasted.
Love this pencil, it came in a free gift an no it's my number 1 pencil liner. I have sensitive eyes that tear if I use anything with a strong scent. I use this on my waterline and it goes on smooth. I will also use covergirl as my drugstore back up. I tried Ailsa because Kim K recommends it but it made my eyes tear. Has intense color but I can't use it. - Update: Lancome is not a cruelty free brand so I've discontinued using this product.
-easy to apply
-lots of product
-rarely need to sharpen it because of the pigmentation
-lid is very sturdy and does not fall off
-not a true black
-not very creamy
-to make this prodcut more creamy, warm it up on the back of your hand by drawing it back and forth (this wastes product) or take a hot straightener/curler and hold it near, NOT aganst, it for 10 or so seconds, and wait until it is cool enough to use
This is the first eyeliner I've ever used. I have oily lids, and I only wear eyeliner on the upper lash line, but this eyeliner actually stays in place all day. This eyeliner is not a true black when applied, but instead more of a dark greyish black. It also Fades more throughout the day, and did not stay in place whatsoever for me when I applied it to my waterline. If I tried it on my water line, it would be gone after a few blinks. Overall, I would skip this eyeliner because it's not worth its price.
