I bought the peach/blue color. They are pretty in the little plastic jar as well as on skin. Of course you don't expect the eyeshadow from Body Shop just as pigmented as MAC. I got them in 3 for $10 promo, so definitely worth the money. They seem to have more shimmer than color, girly- the whole 'daisy' line makeup from the Body Shop is all about girly)- and lightweight. Good for me since I don't like bold color on my eyelids, but the shimmer itself can be impressive.

I got this as part of the 3 for 10 promo. Even at that price,it's going back. I got the green duo & they are hard as a rock & next to impossible to blend. continued >>

The body shop was having a GWP so I bought this product in Peach Blossom & Blue Iris and Golden Dandelion & Green Nettle. Stupid me, because when I went into the store and saw the tester I only swatched the peach blossom colour. Maybe it was the lighting because it seemed like a really nice shimmering peach exactly like the model. However, because the shop was closing I grabbed the two shadows without actually seeing how they looked like. So anyways, I got home and tried the shadows and omg, they're not pigmented at all. The blue showed up super faint, even after I kept packing it on. It looked nothing like the one the model had on. I'm so disappointed, I haven't tried the green and golden shadows yet because I'm assuming they'd have the same problem. This costs $18.50 CAN each...so I'd have expected a little more....probably going to return it. Too bad. continued >>

The Shimmer Buds are the new eyeshadows from the Spring 2008 collection. There are 3 limited edition duos that retail for $16.50 each. Kinda pricey for Body Shop but the colors looked stunning so i picked all three up. There are also two blush/highlighters and two glosses in this collection. The shadows and blushes all have daisy imprints on them.
The colors are:
Green Water Lily & Silver Maple: shimmery light sage green and shimmery medium grey. The green is very pale and has to be layered to actually see green. The grey is a nice medium tone that can be built up to become a nice crease color. Has a slight blueish hint to it.
Golden Dandelion & Green Nettle: This is a shimmery soft white gold highlighter and a stunning emerald shimmer green. The green is stunning and the gold has to be layered to get enough color.
Peach Blossom & Blue Iris: shimmery medium coppery peach and shimmery pale icey blue. This is the duo used in the promo pics and this is what made me want these shadow. Love the look of the peach and blue for spring.
On your hand these shadows seemed very smooth and pigmented at the shop. However, once i got my new ones home, the texture is actually very hard. Its kind of odd. Hard like old shadow but you get surprisingly nice color from these shadows. You definately have to layer to get enough color. I really dont like the texture of these at all. The little flower imprint comes off but its still kinda a weird feeling. Although they go on nicely, i think you can find better quality. And for $16.50 each, i think you can do better. Come in a clear plastic round flip compact. I do get lots of compliments when i wear these though. They do tend to fade after about 6 hours as well even with a good base. continued >>
