Nutmeg: a satin/matte finish (more satin--to me). a bronze, pinkish, champagne color. sheer opacity. best used as a eyelid color/wash. you will need to layer this a few times for the color to show up. Like True Taupe, you will need to use a large shade brush with dense bristles so the shade can deposit color on your lid.
TRUE LOVE <3 I love NYX eyeshadows. I've had a few misses with them, but generally I really like their products. Nutmeg really looks a bit unexciting in the pan. On my lid, it shows up pinky, browny, slightly lavendar-y. I'm fair with blue eyes, so I usually wear darker shadows for a bit of contrast and so I don't look all washed out and ghostly :) Nutmeg, however, provides a perfect amount of neutral contrast for my coloring and makes my eyes pop! I use this all over my eye. Sometimes if I'm in a rush, I don't even use a highlight on my browbone. I get tons of compliments. I love this for daytime. continued >>

Love Nutmeg ~ it is a light rosy brown with the right amount of shimmer. It's hard to explain the color ~ all I can say is that it is gorgeous. During the day, I wear this as an all-over color wash with dark brown or dark bronze eyeliner. For extra definition in the evening, I add Gypsy to the crease of my eye ~ it's a beautiful combo. I like this product, and will buy this again...
Great shimmery light brown that works with everything. Lasts with an eyeshadow primer, good quality for a low price!

I bought this 'cause it looked like it could be a cheap dupe for MAC Satin Taupe (one of my favourite shadows ever) but it goes on a lot lighter than it looks in the pot, a little warmer too. It's a bit dull, ashy even, kinda lacking that something. Almost matte when first applied but hours later I can see some shimmer on my lids. I like that it is long lasting though, last all day with UDPP.

This is my favourite brown lid colour. Its light/medium brown with pinky lavander sparkles that gives this brown an interesting reflex to it in the light. Its not matte or too shimmery, its kind of hard to describe, its sheer yet beautiful and dimensional at the same time. The picture does not do this shadow justice!

I love this color! It's a beautiful, taupe with subtle pinky-lavender highlights. Wears like a lighter Satin Taupe on my skin. Great as an everyday shade and it lasts ALL day on my oily eyelids without creasing. I would love to find a darker taupe/brown with pink (not red) highlights for nighttime wear.

NYX needs to come up with more colour names! They have three different products called "Nutmeg"! Anyway, this is a pretty, soft shimmery reddish brown; I even catch a hint of mauve/purple. It's like a lighter version of NYX Eutopia.
