It looks like there are reviews for this product under this heading as well as the "Obagi C Clarifying Serum" heading. My review is for the Obagi C Clarifying RX (prescription only) which has 10% Vitamin C and 4% hydroquinone.
I've been plagued by dark under-eye circles as long as I can remember & now that I'm getting older, I have freckles & age spots too. I started using this product about 3 months ago - once daily (in the morning) on freshly-washed skin, followed by Dr. Brandt's Time Arrest Laser-Tight serum. I was worried at first - many reviewers mention redness, peeling skin, etc. Luckily I had none of that. This stuff works! The dark circles are much lighter and the freckles are nearly gone. After years of trying countless products I finally found one that helps me look less raccoon-like. It's also helped tighten my nose pores and reduce the fine lines around my eyes. Yes, it's expensive, but I'll bet most of us are willing to put $$ down for stuff that actually does what it claims to do. continued >>
I've been usnig this for about 2 years. It works perfect for me. Not too drying which I know would be the case with the other Obagi system. It always makes my skin very smooth and clear. I love the Vitamin C liquid, however I wish it would stay fresh longer. It can start to turn orange from oxidation. I've managed to prolong the freshness by keeping the lid on the bottle and only using the dropper when I use the product.
After reading so many positive reviews of Obagi, I decided to give it a try. It is sold at my spa & the skincare folks there rave about it. I was advised to use the C-RX system for starters, and perhaps, work into the other products later. After three weeks, my skin is an absolute wreak. It is drier than a prune with new, noticeable lines around my mouth area. Something in either the toner, serum, or daytime/night-time moisturizers are breaking me out like crazy. Little red bumps that turn into hard, pus filled cysts. I have called the spa twice & talked to the reps about it, but they just keep saying to "stick with it". I finally decided to throw in the towel two days ago. My skin is already 200% better. The comodones are drying up & going away. I just hope I don't have any scars or discolorations from them. Obagi may be a miracle for some, but it is definitely NOT for me.

I have been using the C Rx toner and clarifying serum for a couple of weeks now. I have not noticed a big difference in my skin yet other than my skin definitely glows more-not an oily glow, a fresh glow. I have ordered the cleansing gel and night treatment cream but haven't received them yet so will update at a later date. I have noticed that I am starting to get clear bumps and blackheads though that I have never had before and am wondering if that means my skin is purging? Has this happened to anyone else on this system and if so does it clear up soon?
Update: blackheads only lasted a couple of days (used a Biore strip) and my skin is glowing in a good way and is looking much better now that I am using the cleansing gel, toner serum (day) and night cream (night). The night cream smells though, and not in a good way. Happy with the results so far though, even feel like my fine lines around my eyes are looking better but have been sleeping with a humidifier and putting vaseline around my eyes as well :)
I used to have blackhead, whitehead and large pore on my T-zone. After taking YAZ, I got lots of tiny size of hormonal freckles all over my face. So I first gave it a try on Obagi Clenziderm, which targets on pores and pimples. After months of using it, 70% of blackhead and whitehead were gone, pores were shrunk.
Then, I started using CR-X system in order to get rid of the freckles. After 3 weeks of using it. I've noticed something changed on my skin. Freckles are lightened over my nose and chin, but some are still visible on my cheeks. Uneven skin tone are improved a lot. Skin looks fresher, lighter, smoother and luminous than before. However, blackheads that look more larger have been coming back. I have no idea what to do because I tried to use back Clenziderm pore therapy and serum just on my T-zone, but my T-zone was red and irritated than ever. I think I can't use both alternately.
Over the years I have tried everything for my skin - it's not bad but not good either, I have hormonal breakouts, sun and pigmentation damage (especially on my upper lip from pregnancy) and some very light acne scarring. I have tried everything - IPL, nlite, natural/organic skincare, supplements, clarisonic, regular facials...and all offering some improvement to a degree. I started this system 3 weeks ago to try and sort out the appearance of my skin (mainly pigmentation) before I get married in a few months. I started using it incredibly sparingly - missing a day if my skin was particularly dry, working up to using it all the time. I combine it with chantecaille vital essence for additional hydration (and because it's excellent for breakouts). The results I have had are phenomenal. I cannot believe the money I have wasted and wish I had found this a year ago. My skin is more even toned, smoother, fresher looking, clear and luminous. My pigmentation mark above my lip seemed to have drastically faded within days. It is worth every penny and at the moment it's the best £230 I have ever spent on my skin. I still use vital skin with it, plus an eye cream and Slendertone Face (which gives incredible results for tone/wrinkles!!!). I will update after continued use but at the moment I cannot believe the difference to my skin and my confidence. Just please sort out the naff/cheap looking packaging!!!!

I've been using this C system for 3 months or so. I had a series of light chemical peels a couple summers ago and am trying to maintain the results I got from that. I was using the Refinity products and could tell it wasn't enough. I use the C serum system and have changed/added a couple things: I use 15% obagi c-serum and B5 serum from skinceuticals along with the c-serum system in the morning. I use Obagi eye cream at night with the C-serum system. Pros: cystic acne has been gone my entire time of use, 'sun' spots (from tanning) have lightened considerably, skin is softer and firmer, I only need tinted moisturizer instead of a full foundation, make-up products go on smoother and stay fresh longer. Cons: price (of course), some dry skin around my mouth which I counter with another cream product, some minor acne returns if I forget to wash my face, need to wash face/use products every morning/night religiously. Overall, it is an excellent system and I will be purchasing it again.

I first used the Obagi Nu Derm System and showed amazing results. I wanted to steer away from all the hydroquinone in the Nu Derm System, but was not ready to let go of Obagi. I'm thrilled with the continued results on their Obagi-C RX System. I had a melasma mask around my eyes, on my upper lip and in the middle of my eyebrows. The melasma on my upper lip is gone, there is a small spot still on my forehead and faint color around my eyes... I can live with them knowing what it looked like when I first started. It was great to find a product that worked after using numerous products and dropping loads of cash. The best part is my husband is on board with the cost having witnessed the results. I would definitely recommend this product if you have melasma concerns.

I think I would go without food to keep this product in my bathroom! I have used everything on the market for skin discoloration and the Obagi Nu-Derm system is the absolute best. I use it, Retin-A, and a Vitamin C product from Cellex-C.
The Blender, Clear, and Exoderm Forte have just about cleared up all the spots on my face. I had fairly advanced melasma from sun damage and hormones and these products have just about cleared it all up. I have gone from wearing heavy foundation and concealer to a little mineral powder and concealer just under my eyes. Yes they are pricey, but if you add up all the money I've spent on products that didn't work then it's worth it. Plus you don't use very much, they are very concentrated. I got lucky, they had a sale at my plastic surgeon's office so I got the full sized kit for less than 500 (with the Retin-A) plus two free IPL/or Fraxel treatments.
Wow! Thats my first reaction to using this system! I swear I saw a difference the next day. I'm truly amazed! I did alot of research to find something which will make a difference to my face. I'm 37, somewhat fair-skinned and have always tanned. Now, in my 30's, I moved onto self-tanning but did enough damage in my 20's. I also have 2 kids so I also got the "mask" near my eyes from hormones. I tried so many different products with the 2% hydroquinone, licorice root, kojii acid, etc. Over the counter products just didn't work. They may have lightened the spots slightly, but I've spent alot of money trying things. I was afraid to do the Obaji Nuderm system so I tried the C-Rx system first. My skin is already glowing! The spots already seem lighter! My skin feels firmer! There has been a little bit of peeling or flaking on my chin and around my mouth, but I just put a little moisturizer on and its good. Its only been about 5 days and I can't wait to get more results! I will never stray from prescription based skincare products again. Am I worried about the hydroquinone? Well, maybe a little. But the study about cancer was performed on rats which were orally given a large amount. And I probably will only be using the system for no more than 4 months. The serum isn't the best smelling, but if its working then who cares? Apparently, the C clarifying serum has a much better absorption rate than other products AND it contains 4% hydroquinone to lighten up all those freckles and melasma spots as well. I'm getting compliments already! Its so great and sooo worth the money! BTW, there are some websites with discounted Obaji products with very good customer satisfaction if the price is a little too scarey for you. I highly recommend the entire system and have told my friends too!
