This is a lightweight lotion more so than a cream that contains mineral oil, lactic acid, silicones and glycerin to soften and hydrate feet. Also contains wheat and soy protein and aloe vera extract. Has a floral scent that lingers. I have moderately dry skin on my heels and found this to be an effective skin softener. Overall, it is a good product for gently exfoliating the feet. But if you are looking for a protectant to cushion the bottoms of your feet I would reccomend a product containing Dimethicone ( a skin protectant) such as in Neutrogena's Norweigian formula body lotion or other one that lists 2% dimethicone as the active ingredient. I purchased a 2.5 oz tube on sale for $3. I
