My hair is naturally curly, coarse, dry & tend to be frizzy and flyaway, which just doesn't look good when letting them down. However, after using this conditioner, it actually did wonders to my hair. They are so much softer, shinier, gives definitions to my curls, and I can finally put my hair down without looking like a mess. The fragrance is kind of oriental, sandalwood, which I liked. The only downside that stopped me from buying it again is, this conditioner irritates my scalp, which felt itchy even just after washing. continued >>

I use this in combination with the Sap Moss Shampoo as suggested by a friend with similar hair type. This conditioner leaves my hair very soft and manageable. The smell is ok--on the verge of medicine-y, but nothing too overpowering. I will probably re purchase this again--may even try it in combination with the shampoo.

When this product first came out, I was an die hard Aveda fan. Their product was amazing but I have to say since they were purchased and I found out from the Corporate office that they products contain more preservatives and chemicals to stabilize and help the product have longer shelf life, I've been nothing but disappointed. This used to be THE conditioner for me, this used to be so amazing, now my hair feels like dry straws; hay has more moisture. I live in a very humid climate and before this, this conditioner made my hair look like a dream every time I used it. I always got compliments, now I don't even want my hair touching the back of neck. My scalp is always dry; I mean this has no conditioning properties, I have to used another oil just to moisturize my scalp. It's just horrible.

This is one of my favorite conditioners. I have been using it for years. It doesnt make my hair feel instantly slick and buttery, like some products, but I think it's because of the lack of silicones. Over time though, my hair looks really healthy, and I'm very pleased with this conditioner.

Worked very well and it has a nice herbal/floral scent to it. I like to leave it in for a couple of minutes to let the oils soak in. It also rinses out clean, which is a plus for me. Unfortunately, its hard for me to make it to an Aveda store, so its not something I can continually buy.

This feels so heavy and greasy and the smell is so strong, it's awful. I would never buy this again.

I went into the store in search for the Currescense conditioner, but the s.a. told me that my hair looked healthy and did not need such a potent hair treatment. She then recommended the Brilliant conditioner.
The smell's interesting enough, tho it reminds me of elderly Chinese folk (it's all good, I'm Chinese). The conditionning effects are decent, but I don't think the $30CAD price is justified. Will not repurchase. continued >>

I love the way this smells, I love the way it conditions my naturally curly, dry hair. I'm just not thrilled with the price so it is special treat for me, one I don't purchase often.

If you like Aveda's signature aromatic scent- and like a medium body conditioner- and don't mind the price- go for it.

This is an average conditioner. The detangling ability isn't the greatest, but it isn't bad, either. It has a creamy texture and rinses clean. I can't stand the smell, but thankfully it fades quickly. Overall, I'd say this was just mediocre. WAY too expensive for what it is. Won't repurchase.

This is the worst line from aveda, its very heavy and drying. I have always loved Aveda's products, but this line is not very good. sorry!!!

This product comes in a stand-up clear tube with blue writing. It is creamy white in color and has the Aveda Brilliant line fragrance. I have fine hair but alot of it and it is extremely colored and damaged. I have never considered trying the Aveda Brilliant line because I was once told by a sales associate at an Aveda store that it was only for enthic hair. I was shocked when I went to an Aveda salon and they used it on me. They told me it was the most moisturizing and perfect for my hair. I couldn't resist buying a tube and seeing how it worked with the pro blow-out. Well after using it for weeks on its own... This is a wonderful conditioner. I always leave it in for five minute before I rinse. I would highly recommend this to fine but alot hair or thick or medium hair that is dry and color-treated.

I hated everything in the Brilliantine line. I love the idea of Aveda. I love the smell. But the Brilliantine line was overpriced and didn't do anything it was supposed to do. This conditioner really dried out my hair and didn't moisturize at all! My hair felt like I hadn't put in any conditioner afterwards, and I didn't see any shine.

This is a pretty good conditioner. It leaves my thick hair soft and detangled but I sometimes wish it was a bit more moisturising. Fantastic scent.

This isn't the perfect conditioner, but it'll do until I *find* the perfect conditioner. I love the smell and way it leaves my hair feeling soft. It also does a good job on my dry, itchy, sensitive scalp. I think if my hair was much longer than shoulder-length or if I used heat or chemicals in it, then I would need a heavier, more intense conditioner.

This is one of my favorite conditioners. (However, I don't like the Brilliance shampoo so I didn't repurchase when the tube was empty.) It leaves my hair shiny, tangle-free and doesn't weight it down. I love the fragrance also.

I just finished using this product and first of all I have partially relaxed/natural hair. I am growing out my relaxer. Also I have a very sensitive scalp. The smell of the conditioner made me sneeze and my scalp is burning as we speak. Thank goodness for Elidel! Secondly, it did not detangle my hair at all. I had to use globs of kiel's pathenol leave in conditioner to get the tangles out. This one goes back to the store for a refund. I'll try the sap moss conditioner in the travel size. I know that the brilliant line is made for black hair, but what kind of black hair did Aveda test this on? Certainly not natural, real black hair.

I have been using this for about two months on an off with other products I have. When I use this conditioner I also use the sap moss leave in stuff before I wash. I love how soft this makes my hair feel! The smell is great too!

this conditioner works well and smells great, but it's really thick and you have to use a lot.
