This has a new package. I have very sensitive skin, so at first I could feel my skin getting warmer. But this feeling lasts only for a couple of minutes and no other irritation appears. I also like the glass bottle with dosimeter where the cream is filled in. Very convenient to use. I purchased this online by iherb dot com, $15.92 (they ship worldwide and I live in Hungary). I have a coupon code if you want order the first time: VIK284 and you have 5$ off.

This product does not look good under makeup (makes the under-eye area look dry and cakey). It does also cause a bit of milia and does not improve fine lines. Not a keeper for me.

This product made my eyes puffy and red. It made the skin feel chapped. If you have sensitive skin, I would forego this product.

I bought this product as a preventative so I wasn't expecting to see much of a difference, but this started to give me milia so I stopped using it and it cleared up in a week. I think it might have been too thick for me, which is weird since I have dry skin.

This is a nice little eyecream I've been using for about half a year now. It is good for moisturizing the eye area, and it sinks in quite nicely. However, it is mediocre in terms of diminishing the appearance of fine lines. It is probably best using it for preventative reasons with its antioxidants.

I was looking for a vitamin C eye product and tried this based on positive MUA reviews. I guess I would characterize this cream as benevolent; it's nice, inoffensive, but nothing dramatic. At least, I noticed no real effect on my fine lines. No strong odors, nice light creamy consistency that sinks in quickly, has some moisturizing properties. The pump bottle is nice, allowing controlled pumps, although it is somewhat heavy glass, the little dried plug can be annoying, and as someone else mentioned, the straw stem is not long enough so I had to use a Q-tip to get the dregs out. Be warned though, if the skin around your eyes has any irritation, this will sting due to the vitamin C. In general, it's a rather innocuous eye cream, the price is not too crazy for a vitamin C product, and it would probably be a fine moisturizer for someone without any lines, but it did nothing much for me, so I won't repurchase.

I have been using this product for a couple of months now and with a once a day application, the bottle has lasted me quite a while. So I think it's good value for money.
If you are just looking for a basic eye cream for younger skin types then in my opinion this would be a good choice. It's absorbs fairly well and does leave the area bright and moisturized. Depending on your eye-skin, I believe for my dark circles - this was very temporary.
I feel good that I'm using an eye cream as opposed to nothing however I don't feel this is working very well in diminishing my dark circles or my fine lines.
I'm certainly disappointed as I really thought this might help my dark circles. Maybe it has slightly brightened up the area just through moistuzing - but certainly no drastic changes.
I would recommend this for younger skin types as a gentle maintanence cream however if you have wrinkles or dark circles - I think us girls need something a tad more effective.

After reading MUA comments I purchased this about six weeks ago, and I'm very pleased with the results. I'm seeing fewer fine lines and a generally brighter appearance of the skin around my eyes, and I've experienced no eye irritation at all. The pump on my bottle isn't the best-engineered thing; I often have a hardened little plug of lotion that comes out first. But a small amount of this lotion morning and night seems to be doing the trick for me, so I'm willing to put up with the minor inconveniece -- will definitely purchase again.

UPDATE:I just finished the entire bottle and thought about if I wanted to rebuy a whole new bottle and I've been looking around at other options. I've been looking at the effects of this on my eye area lately and I've noticed that not only is the condition of the skin better, more moisturized, etc but also that the skin around the eye seems to be more firm/tight if that makes sense. And for that reason, I will buy a new bottle. In my past experience, most eye creams will just moisturize, but the firming effects of this cream definitely makes it stand out against others in my book. I believe that this is due to the Vitamin C in the cream. I also think that it is the reason why some people are experience adverse reactions such as the area around the eye being more irritated. Some people might not be able to tolerate Vitamin C as well and in general if you overdo vitamin c, it actually has negative effects on the skin. Granted, this cream probably has a very low and safe percentage of vitamin c, but for those that are more sensitive to it, I can see why it can cause irritation.

Much to my dismay, this did not take away my dark circles. But! I did much improved the condition of my skin around my eyes. Its much more moisturized and just looks like its in better condition. The texture of this is thick but not greasy. Its actually the ideal texture for an eye cream because it stays put, doesn't glide around and drip into your eye, soaks in, is not greasy, and since its thick you pack and on and know that you're getting a concentrated dose. I'm loving the ingredient list and what it does for my eye area but I'm 22 and have no wrinkles so only time will tell if this does anything for me as far wrinkles go.

I've been using this for over a month now and I do think that it is the best eye cream I've used so far, which includes the ever so popular Clinique All About Eyes and the Skyn Icelandic Cream. Neither of which did anything for me so I got frustrated and just used my regular face moisturizer as an eye cream. This one actually does something for me so I will keep using it. continued >>

While I'm not jumping for joy because my dark circles have *packed up thier bags* and gone (hahah), this is still decent. Hasn't irritated or made my eyes look worse and feels nice. I don't have a problem with milia really so can't evaluate it on that, but it hasn't caused any wierd under eye pimples or anything. A tad expensive for something that doesn't do a whole lot other than moisturize, but thats about all i can really ask for these days, especially during spring when my skin has a conniption fit for some reason and everything seems to cause a reaction resulting in flaking, stinging, cracking, you name it..every epidermic mishap possible. So for that I am greatful!
****UPDATE**** Umm, actually I take back everything i said!..this is NOT gentle like i thought. My eyes have been burning and sensitive lately after putting this on. I don't know what happened....could it be possible i developed an allergy? I don't know but like someone else said in thier review this has the ability to make your eyes look worse...In the words of Cathy.."ACK!!!" Since I stopped using this my eyes have been looking less puffy and red. I think I'm done with Avalon's products for a while...

Saw this eye cream on MUA and decided to try. Once again all you on MUA were right on the mark....I DO beleive this is the best eye cream and I have tried many. I love that it has vitamin C in it, plus the dispenser allows you to dispense the amount you want. Its thick and emollient but not greasy and sinks right in. Love it. WILL continue to use this as nothing else out there feels as good. I have really noticed a difference in the crepiness under my eyes. Definitely will repurchase. I also use the Avalon Vit C serum and love it too! This eye cream is a little pricey but will likely last a long time.

I really, really wanted to love this. I bought it based on MUA reviews, although I have to remind myself time and time again that some products work fantastically for some people, and just okay for others. Unfortunately you have to experiment until you find what you love. And I wanted to love this, as it had all of the hallmarks of the HG eye cream that I'd been looking for - organic, no parabens, etc. Unfortunately, after a month of use, I have admitted defeat and am giving up on it. I don't really have a problem with the packaging, or the smell, or any of that - my main problem is that this cream seems to have made my eye wrinkles WORSE, not better. I looked in the mirror last week and thought, "Whoa - where did those lines come from?!" Not only did it seem to make my lines worse, but if I put it on at night, and put my Touche Eclat over it in the morning when I wake up (running late as always), it does not cover well. In fact, it layers horribly under makeup for me - it starts clumping and makes my under-eye area look ten times worse. So although this DID dramatically reduce my under-eye circles, I simply can't handle the fact that it makes my lines worse. And it doesn't look good under makeup. So last night I went back to my Nude Skincare advanced eye repair, and already, within one night, my lines have softened again. So Avalon eye cream - I really wanted to love you. I'm seriously bummed that it didn't work out for us!

I WOULD NOT BUY THIS AGAIN!!! I've had a monster sized milia on my eyelid for months I think traces back to use of this. I had been thinking at first I had a stye (I get those alot) and had been applying MORE eye creme (not this, I switched to a Physicians Formula one) and it got a little bigger then one day, out of the blue, happened to wonder if it wasn't in fact a milia as I am prone to them. I've quit using eye creme at all on my eye lid area and wash it well with baby shampoo nightly and remove my makeup with olive oil and am finally (knock on wood) seeing the size of it go down. Let me restate - I have had it for MONTHS.

Also, this sometimes stung when I first applied it. And when you get towards the end of the bottle, the straw thing isn't long enough and you end up having to remove it every time and stick in your finger, taking away the fact that it's "so hygienic" to have a pump.

I really need to throw the rest of it away. I also do not recommend the toner from this line - burns like a mother and upsets the area on my neck where I have a tendency to get rashes.

The find of a lifetime...I believe this is the best eye cream I have ever come by. I have been using it for 2 weeks and have found a very dramatic change in the brightness of my eyes, firmness, and suppleness. It makes you realize how worn down your eyes looked before!
If it only did something for the puffiness! There is a bit of deflation but the shadow under the bottom puff is still prevalent. Will update if this has changes at all.
It is just an incredible bonus that there is a functioning pump, no noxious odors, it disappears into the skin, and does not disturb makeup.
I am an esthetician and have access to a myriad of products-Vit C always worked well for me and I needed something affordable and hopefully all natural. This cream works better for me then Perricone, Dermalogica, Skinceuticals, etc...for a fraction of the price.
EDIT: I believe this product gave me milia. You only need a tiny amount, I may have over applied a few times. Too bad, changed my ratings.

I'm soon to be 29 and lately, the skin around my eyes just looks tired & puffy no matter what I do. (I do suffer from allergies which has a lot to do with it) This is the first eye cream I have come across that really seems to help. After a week of using it the skin under my eyes looks brighter and overall my eyes look less puffy and more awake. I feel like I look younger than I had been looking before. I don't mind the pump, though I'm wondering how much I will be able to get out of it once it gets down to the bottom. You definitely get a lot of product for the price. 1 ounce is way more than you usually get in an eye cream. I am happy with this eye cream for now and will not be searching for anything else just yet. It has accomplished everything I wanted it to! I can't say yet what it does for wrinkles, which aren't too prevalent yet, I just wanted something to perk up the skin around my eyes. continued >>

The only eye cream I've repurchased. Nice little pump allows me to get just a dab out at a time. Consistency is a bit thick, but sinks in quickly, moisturizes well, sits nicely under or over foundation. Haven't noticed a great improvement in fine lines around my eyes, but it's a soothing little pick me up in the morning.

PROS: Has a nice feel to it. Not heavy. Known on here to have good antioxidant effects. Is helping my bags/puffiness. Smells good.

CONS: Not quite moisturizing enough when used alone (I use with an inexpensive eye cream.) I like to have a lot of moisture in my eye cream, especially for night. I don't like to use this with my retinol eye cream, so I put one on in the a.m. and one in the p.m. This keeps my eyes from getting irritated.

APPLICATION TIPS: Someone posted on the page for the Vitamin C Serum for the face by Avalon that, if you were dry, you could use this instead of the face serum. I'm going to try that out.

ALTERNATES: L'Oreal's Age Perfect eye cream is moisturizing. (I put it on top of this.) I also use Devita Revitalizing Eye Lift Creme with Polypeptides to put on top of this. (alternating between the two.)

I used this for a few months every night. I used half the bottle. I did not notice that this was doing anything at all. My eyes weren't that moisturized, and my fine lines were NOT diminished, or even plumped up. just nothing at all. I like other eye treatments more than this one. I was expecting the Vitamin C to do more I guess :-(. It did have some pros:
the texture is a thick white cream that absorbs very well, it is not greasy at all.
the packaging is very nice. I like that I can do a half or even quarter pump so that I don't pump out too much and waste product.
They are very generous with the amount they give. I swear this is more than 1 oz...compared to my other 1 oz bottles this seems bigger, more full, and lasts longer!
But, I didn't like it. :( I have swapped this away...won't repurchase.
