I have used this since 2005. The color neutral fair always works for my nw20 skin. There is enough coverage that I can use it for a slap on and go when there's no time for foundation. It covers some red scars on my chin well enough so that I am not self conscious. On foundation days this is the best touch up compact I have found. Clinique says it is a sheer foundation, but I find it builds up to medium. One of the few products that has never let me down.

I picked this up on a whim after mentioning that I was after a new, more portable powder. I wasn't originally sold on the fact that this is also a foundation, but the lady at the counter won me over by saying that this could help my redness while covering oil.She ended up being right. Just a little powder helped cover up my redness, even out my complexion, and control oil. However, when she applied some powder for me at the counter, when I got home, my skin felt extremely dry and the powder just highlighted some flaky skin. However, she did mention that your skin's natural oils should shine through after 30 minutes, slightly cutting down on the dry feeling. She also claimed that the product was 100% mineral, while the Clinique Stay Matte was only 52.2%, and that this was hypoallergenic. There was no scent for me, which is also fantastic, and it's SPF 15, a plus. The compact comes with a circular sponge which fits inside the container for easy travel. The I would just say to apply this with a light hand and to be careful not to overdo it if you're using the sponge. Using a brush will definitely distribute less product, and that's what I've been doing at home. The packaging is very nice in my opinion, it reminds me of jade. It's portable and discreet, with the Clinique name not plastered all over the box. I purchased mine for $26 CAD, which I found to be a very reasonable price for a higher-end powder foundation, especially when you compare it to some Sephora equivalents. Despite being pretty fair (so much so that the lady at the Clinique counter commented on it), I was matched to #2 Neutral Fair, the second lightest colour, which probably means that this powder foundation would be suitable for people with fair complexions. So far, this product has been great. I've been using it for about a week. My only qualm would be that you need to be careful not to apply too much and blend the colour out well.

I really like this product as it is perfect for my very particular skin. I plan to use it exclusively for now.Who doesn't love the impression of fresh and flawless skin? Well, I certainly do. Therefore, for many years I have been trying hundreds of liquid/cream/etc foundations with very little success. No matter what formula it was (matte, satin, luminous), no matter the price, 20$ or 200$, no matter what application I used, I always ended up with messy, greasy face in the course of 2 hours. As if my skin mysteriously becomes super oily after the foundation application and just wants expulse "foreign layer" asap. This foundation is different (yes, I use this as foundation). It stays on very well and it stays matte/satin, my skin doesn't get oilier than usual and interacts with it very well. Almost Powder feels light and I can even touch my face without being left with greasy fingers. The fresh matte look it provides me with is the closest thing to the beautiful healthy skin I had before hitting puberty. It looks effortlessly and naturally nice.I think might work well on other oilier 20-35 year olds who do not need much of a coverage as this foundation might get cakey upon heavy application. It is easy to use, easy to carry around (and is 'plane-friendly'), nicely packaged and the price is quite reasonable.

Do not like this as a powder foundation BUT dusted lightly over MAC F&B and it is perfecto. The best part is it looks better the longer I wear it.

I have tried several other drugstore powders such as cover girl and Revlon and even one from Estee Lauder but this is the powder I keep going back to. It is sheer to moderate coverage which I like because I use it as an everyday natural look foundation. My cheeks are very red and this cuts most of the redness out. Doesn't make me oily or settle into fine lines. Has never broken me out either. For maximum coverage I use this over Clinique's Even Better Foundation.

I am acne prone (mild), combination oily, sensitive and mild eczema on my forehead, I have been using a Korean BB cream daily but lately have wanted to alternate with a powder. I have found my "one"! Have never been a huge fan of powders as I have found in the past that they go cakey when my t-zone gets oily. I use 2 separate moisturisers, a thicker Jurlique moisturiser for my forehead and Clinique's Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel on the rest of my face then this powder goes over the top perfectly! I find coverage is almost as good as my BB cream and I don't have to use a lot either, so it is perfect for work! I am a type 3 in Clinique's skin range and wear Neutral Fair 02.

ok my first reviewso my skin is oily/combination, acne-prone and sensitivethis is not for oily skin. it.s dry and fake when you aply it.s not natural at alland in 1 hour starts to look more natural but that fades very fast and all you get in about 2 hours is oil an separation. i could actualy pick it up with my finger from my face grossss!it doesn.t hide anything so don.t count on it to do thati may have given higher rating if they would have told me that it.s not for oily/combination skin the 1 star is for not triggering my acne and because it made no problems for my sensitive skinto be fair i have flakey skin, almost all foundation look flakey on my face and this one didn.t, but that just isn.t enough. i am looking for something perfect to put over my suncreen and this one is not it

this powder offers excellent coverage but doesn't get cakey for a powder foundation, it gives a slight luminosity which helps give it a natural look, I find it looks better throughout the day then after initial application as well

This is a fantastic foundation!!!Ok, let me get down to the review: This is the most natural powder foundation I have ever tried! I get full coverage using the sponge and light coverage using a buffing brush. Coverage is comparable to a liquid foundation! Doesn't set into fine lines. My skin doesn't feel dried out or cakey. I currently use a Cerave AM do hydrate my winter skin and this foundation never makes me feel oily. I get a bit shiny after 3 or 4 hours of wear, but that's pretty good given my heavy moisturizer. This foundation lasts up to 12 hours without melting off. Definitely a winner here!!!

Tired of experimenting with foundations for my aging, slightly wrinkled, less toned skin. No matter what, high/low end, they just don't look.. great. Even at Nordstroms or Sephora, the 'makeovers' just look OK and pores are always exaggerated. As another reviewer in my age bracket stated so well, it can initially look a little drying. However, what a pleasure seeing how the powder helped diminished the all-over redness. After applying moisturizer, use a basic Sephora or Smashbox primer. Then using a flat-top brush, swirl in compact, then onto face. Skin tone and texture does change, post-menopause. Would not have believed how many changes. But back to powder ladies: it is much quicker; swirl and done. I'll take it..
