Yuck.
Too thick. Left me feeling clammy, greasy, shiny and mask-like irrespective of how light handed I was with application.
The metal tube is hygienic but the painted labelling started to flake off as the tube was squeezed.
The shade was also slightly too pale for my skin (NC20 ish) but you rebel is waaaaaay too dark.
Needless to say this horrible stuff was binned and replaced with the brilliant Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturiser in Nude.

After purchasing this product from House of Fraser last year, I am now striving to use it up. After seeking the advice of a Benefit makeup salesperson, I was given a makeover with the Finding Mr Bright kit and this foundation. Maybe it was the lighting in the shop, but it seemed to give my skin a healthy glow, with a tiny hint of fake tan. In hindsight, I should have asked for a small sample and tried it over a couple of days before I brought it.
It is not a bad tinted moisturiser, but it is nowhere near sophisticated enough to warrant the price tag of £23.50. Application is easy, although it takes time for it to 'settle' into anything like a flattering shade or texture. It is really, really oily, and a little grainy, like oil paint from a tube. Patient buffing is required to ensure there are no streaks. The colour is the biggest let down. It is far too yellow for those with pink undertones. It looks like you are wearing fake tan, and you then have to choose all your other makeup accordingly. It lasts a reasonable amount of time for a tinted moisturiser, and on the plus side, it didn't aggravate my skin or brink on any breakouts.
As I say, it is not a bad tinted moisturiser, but I'm sure a similar quality product could be found for less than a tenner. I'm now trying to use it so that I don't feel it was a waste of money. It is very much a summer product, and I think would suit those with olive/yellow skin.

I first bought this product a couple of years ago after getting a "make-over" at a benefit counter. At the time I thought it was nice, but it was my first ever foundation so I didn't really know. It eventually made my skin break out in a red rash. After finding it stll lurking around in an old makeup bag while having a clear out I decided to go and buy another tube to see how it was this time ( forgetting about the rash ).
Luckily the rash didn't return, however I realised even though it was the light version, it was still far too dark for my skin. I need the lightest possible foundation as my skin is so pale & this just didn't work out for me. It was also really thick and hard to apply. I must admit it does last for quite a while but it's not very good.
If your skin is a medium tone & you are able to apply bronzed then this would be lovely but definetly stay away if you're fair!
Also annoyingly enough as soon as I bought this product, benefit announced they were bringing out a new foundation. Typical! continued >>

It looks thick and intense when you squeeze out a pea-sized amount, but it goes on light, which is nice. It does not seem to have caused any pimples, I don't look oily after wearing it . . . but the initial outlay is high for my budget and I don't feel like I'm getting $$$ results.

Meh, this is okay.
My first tinted moisturizer, I was given this by my mum who bought it then never used it. A nice easy squeeze tube that will last for ages. Going on, it smelt and looked a bit like sunscreen. The smell was okay but the shiny greasy look combined with the yellows hew it gave my skin wasn't promising.
The real winner for me was my body shop loose face powder which I covered my face in, that softened the yellowy shine and the final result was pasable, though I still feel like my skin looks a bit dirty. It evened my skin tone, but I don't really have a problem with that. Didn't improve the look of my acne but I didn't expect it to.
Overall, not for me. Maybe better for someone with a different skin tone (i'm pale with a bit of acne)? Probably won't use again.

I love the texture and smell of this one. But the color is too yellow for me. I find the original version better even though thats too dark also. I like the texture because it does not make my skin feel too dry and gives me a natural not mask like coverage.

I'm really surprised at all the bad reviews... I just got this the other day, as I've gotten tired of wearing drug-store foundation, and I wanted something lighter. (I have warm olive skin with pink undertones, fair skin, not oily or dry, and I rarely break out). I was originally going to get Tarte Smooth Operator, but the SA at Sephora recommended this. In the store I thought it didn't have ANY coverage at all, but once I got home and applied it correctly, with Sephora matte powder on top, WOW I love it. It makes my skin look just as flawless, if not MORE, than any high-coverage foundation, feels like NOTHING, smells great, and I hardly had to use any. I think this moisturizer is really only for people who don't have oily skin, don't really have any trouble spots with break outs, and do not like the feeling of being overly made-up. ALSO, I have pigment problems around my eyes, where my skin is a lot lighter, and this even hid that, without being too gloppy, oily, or being too heavy. Also makes your skin glowy and radiant, with the right powder and blush. I think for my first time trying a TM instead of foundation, this is amazing. :) :)

oh dear... when i first bought this, i was expecting a light, shine-free, non greasy moisturiser. What i got was a horrible smelling, oily, tinted moisturiser that made my spots WORSE. The price is ridiculous, and it only lasts a few hours... ewwww

After I finally left all my foundations and switched to tinted moisturizers and BB Creams, I have constantly been on the hunt for one that would give me a decent amount of coverage and the perfect match to my skinton, and guess what. The magic potion was right in this tube all along. I have been meaning to buy this baby after trying and failing to match dozens and dozens of tinted moisturizers and BB Creams to my skincare and makeup needs and finally on a whim decided to buy it. When I opened the tube, I noticed how creamy the formula is, yes, creamy. I only needed to squeeze the tube a tiny bit and a good enough amount comes out. It feels really light on my skin, just like normal moisturizer, which means only one thing, if you can't handle the heaviness of foundation on your skin, you'd definitely love this product. I placed a small amount of the product on half of my face and blended it with my favorite brush, the ELF powder brush because I find that it lays any foundation or tinted moisturizer on top of my skin, thus giving me optimal coverage from the product, and saw that not only did my face look oh so naturally flawless and luminescent, it evened out my skintone and made it feel so suppple and soft. So far, I haven't broken off from this, and I'm praying and praying that I don't because I am in love with this product so much that parting with it would just break my heart. This definitely ranks way up at the top from the list of tinted moisturizers that I've tried and I hoped it stays there for a really long time because everything about this product is a definite A+. Highly recommend it! :)
EDIT!
I took off four lippies because even though it didn't break me out, when I did have minor breakouts due to that time of the month, it aggravated it! :(( It made it worse and it stings putting this on those areas! It's such a pity since the color and the coverage is perfect! I'm going to try to put it on top of a base or primer next time to see if it'll somehow help, but the stinging was not good at all!

I LOVE THIS! I can't stand the look of foundation, so I always opt for tinted moisturizer. I mix this with my moisturizer and I look radiant and tanner. My favorite product of all time. Smells nice, little bit of sunscreen scent. DOESN'T BREAK ME OUT. WONDERFUL IF U HAVE DRY SKIN!

What was I thinking???? Greasy, oily, shiny, and...well...GROSS! I had to wash it off after about 20 minutes and throw this in the back of the makeup drawer. Just couldn't stand it anymore. Repurchase? Hell no.

EXTREMELY OILY.
Not for those for whom shiny skin is ever a problem! You Rebel Lite is a tinted moisturizer, and while the tint is nice and it produces a pretty, even skintone, holy cow -- is it oily! This stuff was also too dark for my very pale skin, I was only barely able to get away with it in what was the tannest summer of my whole life.
Never again.

Ummm, I didn't care for this. It made me oily and the coverage is really light, I mean I know its a TM but come on the tint is almost non existent. This also burned a lil around my nose and mouth? I had this for a while and just kind of forgot about it, threw it at the bottom of my makeup case. If you do buy this I recommend a GOOD setting/blotting powder, otherwise this stuff just makes me look greasy and creases around my mouth :-/

would buy again as is the best TM for my skin type/tone and i find it really works for me. this and boing by benefit are all i use on my face.
it is expensive but you get alot of product and it does perform very highly in my opinion. packaging sucks though, gets battered in my makeup bag and the tube starts to split after a time and product ooze out. am on my third tube despite all this. one of benefits best products

To say something positive about this product: i like the packaging, it's a fun design (like all benefit products). The product comes in a hygienic tube, which is always nice. And it had SPF in it.
But that's about it... So, why you shouldn't buy this?
First of all, this makes me look like an oil slick. Wearing this alone without powder is impossible.
Second, the coverage is minimal, the shade quite suited me, but mostly because the color wasn't really visible.
Third, this stings so bad around my eyes (i have sensitive skin), and when you get even a tiny bit IN your eyes (through sweat, or you accidentally rub it in with your fingers) you WILL CRY!! So be very careful with that..
Overall, the product was quite expensive (don't remember the price exactly), and had nothing in it for me to like about.. so I'm def. not buying this again.

This was one of the first tinted moisturizers I had ever tried, and for that it was alright. I think this is way to yellow for my skintone, so it gives me sort of a sallow look. Also, this made my skin greasy, so I always have to use a powder with it, otherwise I run the risk of blinding people! If you're just starting out with tinted moisturizer, give this a go. But if you've tried out a bunch already, then don't bother.

I'm also surprised at the negatives for this product as it's amazing on me. I'm actually a pink toned girl but I've had no problems with this at all despite the yellow colour. I find it gives its best coverage when applied with a duo fibre brush and it leaves me with a dewy finish which I can mattify with powder but still get a sexy glow. Yes, the packaging isn't amazing but when it gets to the point when it becomes an issue, I'll cut it in half & keep in it a tub in the fridge or something
Right now, I wouldn't repurchase because i'm somewhat new to TM's & want to play the field but I can see myself buying another in the future. continued >>

My first ever review just because I'm really shocked at all the negatives. I never use foundation and prefer a light, fresh, dewy (no- makeup) look as I do minimal weight on my face and this gives me just that. I have olive skin colour and can't recommend this highly enough. Btw I don't use this everyday, just about 3-4 times a month if that is of any help at all.

I bought this after being attacked by a girl who worked at the Benefit counter, [not literally] I was on the hunt for a tinted moisturiser with SPF, that didn't end up making my face look oily half an hour after applying it so I agreed to let her put some on me. It looked nice so I bought it however when i got home and looked in the mirror it was yellow! For the next few week's I mixed it with some of my foundation, after paying 23.50 for it, I wasnt gona let it go to waste. On it's own not only was it an awful colour but it made my face look oily yet dry at the same time, also the the packaging wasnt thought through very well, it's a metal tube that split's. I still have over half a tube left and it look's like it's gona stay that way, I have no intention of using the rest. I'd love it If anyone could recommend a good tinted moisturiser, my search isnt going so well.

The colour of this tinted moisturizer is PURE YELLOW, therefore I do not recommend this product for people whose skin is not warm/yellow toned. Being a yellow toned person, I found this product alright.. not too bad. It was the first tinted moisturizer that I have ever tried so I can't compare it to other ones out there. I actually liked the yellow-ness of it because it helped cover the redness on my skin. Other than that, you shouldn't expect any coverage. This product definitely moisturizes and makes your skin glowy. Overtime, however, I did find that it oxidized into a darker colour. I will not be repurchasing yourebel lite not because it is a terrible product, but I would like to give other products a try.
